Culture and Lifestyles

- Wishira tribe members hold great respect of their land and the seabeast that helped create it. It is considered a high honor to be in service of protecting the sacred mushroom.

- There are both oral and written records of Wishira's history. Recordkeepers write down things of importance and keep those writings safe in the skull cave of the farming territory.

- The farming territory is very egalitarian. Members within the farming territory all benefit from helping eachother and the land. They do their best to take care of their community and those outside of it, welcoming anyone with open arms.

- Members can be wary of outsiders, though the fishing territory has ambassadors that regularly commune with the Cliffscape tribe. Trade is common between Wishira and Cliffscape.

- Some Wishira members use hang gliders as a means for hang gliding off of mushroom tops to travel quickly.

Events and Celebrations

Crowning ceremony: A ceremony where toskals gather at the sacred mushroom to celebrate the election of a new leader.

Tribe fair: A big fair where the leaders meet every year or every other year and all members of the tribe are invited and encouraged to attend. Members put out a variety of decorations in prepation.
There's competitions for who grows the biggest shroom, the biggest animal, best bred animal etc. Some farmers even have a prized area to cultivate the things they compete with for these competitions. Mini games are held for toskals of all ages and treats of all kinds are sold in small tent-markets. Performers display their skills in shows and toskals pay their respects to not only the sacred mushroom, but the giant seabeast that brought life to their isle. Wishira members would hate to miss this event.
This celebration is so wondrous that it attracts attention from neighboring tribes on the mainland.

The Rite

In preparation for their rite, toskals are given several gifts from their community. These gifts could be heirlooms, weapons, tools, and the like- anything that could be of use or of comfort to a toskal. A feast is held in celebration and remembrance, in case fellow members don't return. When it's time for a toskal to leave, the either do so by their own volition into the wilderness of the isle, or take a boat to mainland provided by the fishing territory.
