Religion and Beliefs

Wishira legends speak of a giant beast that ruled the seas. This beast shaped many islands in her wake and chose shroom island as her final place of rest. Her 'children' or the other creatures of the sea, would eventually return to her in their moments of passing, to help enrich the island. Wishira's inhabitants believe shroom island was her gift to the tribe.

A Sacred, giant mushroom tree exists where the three territories meet. It is believed to be the mother of all of the fungi that exist on the islands. Some say it was cultivated by the original members of the Wishira tribe, growing and feeding upon the sea beast's remains and sprouting from her heart. The sacred mushroom is thought to host her soul, where she keeps a watchful reach far in the heart of Wishira's isle. Guards keep a close eye on the sacred mushroom, protecting it with their lives.

Religion

Native Wishira tribe members are not focused around a specific religion, but rather hold a set of beliefs centered around rebirth. When the giant beast brought life to their island, a tremendously tall mushroom sprouted from the remains of her heart. This spectacular event led them to believe in a cycle of being reincarnated. Good-hearted toskals will eventually go through the cycle of reincarnation to become a toskal again. This is why they treat all living beings with respect.
