THE SUN AND MOON SPIRITS

Click me to see ref of Arivae and Teuivae

100.000 years ago, in a time where Ditee-ath had constant bad weather with hardly any sun during daytime, or moonlight at night, the inhabitants of Ditee-ath prayed daily for better weather, more sun and more moonlight. Their prayers were heard. In the same village, on the 1st of Kaahdri (the first day of Fhranar), and half a year later on the 1st of Pludri (the first day of Lhanar) two very important deities were born on Ditee-ath; the Sun Spirit, Arivae, and the Moon Spirit, Teuivae. They were born as Gemmadites and upon their births they were seen as special babies by their families and everyone else. Arivae was born with the sunstone and with legendary ears and eyes, and Teuivae was born with the moonstone and legendary ears and eyes. In addition to that, they were both born with an additional set of markings around the markings on their legs, arms, shoulders, and tails. Shortly after their births the sun slowly began to shine through the clouds and create sunlight and the moons were shining brighter at night, which everyone connected to the birth of the two special babies. There would still be days with grey weather, but days with sunlight had increased by a lot. Word spread quickly that a miracle had happened and that they were the cause of the sunlight and moonlight. Gems came from all over Ditee-ath to see the miracle babies with their own eyes.

Arivae and Teuivae grew up together, since their mothers were friends, and the two of them got closer to one another day by day and everyone around them loved them. They were both very kind and gentle, and had everyone's well being in mind all the time, along with being considerate of the nature around them. Because other Gems believed that they were the cause of the sunlight and warm days returning, and the moons to shine brighter at night, Arivae and Teuivae were worshiped and named the spirits of the sun and the moon. On their birthdays, Gems from all over Ditee-ath would host big feasts to celebrate them for bringing the sunlight back and for giving them more moonlight.

On the 9th of Kaahdri, when Arivae was 19 and Teuivae was 18, they felt the spark for one another and became mates. Once their bonding period had ended, they decided to host a big feast for Gems who wanted to come, as thanks to everyone for always being so nice to them and to share their love with them. This later became the tradition known at "Romanidee-ath".

Arivae and Teuivae both lived happy lives together as mates, but when they both hit their early 70's they got ill. No one could figure out why, but some doctors suspected that it was because of their very unique and two of a kind appearance. Not even their two kids looked the same as them. Arivae and Teuivae both died at the age of 75 and slept in during the night. Their deaths affected everyone, especially their kids, and everyone feared that the constantly dark, cloudy and bad weathered days would return, but that didn't happen. The weather stayed as it had been when the two were still alive, so the Gems were sure that their souls had descended to the sun and the moon. After their passing, Gems all over Ditee-ath would celebrate solstice on Arivae and Teuivae's birthdays, respectively calling the celebrations "Arivae festival" and "Teuivae festival".

THE FIFTEEN

Click me to see ref of The Fifteen

The myth of "The Fifteen", who are called "Tho Foftiin" in Ditathee, began about a 25.000 years after Arivae and Teuivae were born. All members of "The Fifteen" were from the Gemmismae species and the myth tales about how their different abilities first manifested. All fifteen of them had been born with their abilities, and some may have felt like something wasn't right, but the abilities weren't triggered until many years later when they needed them the most in time of distress or strong emotions triggered them, be it positive or negative, and it to all of them within a year. It was as if the universe was purposely triggering their abilities at that time.

Ennorath was the first to get his abilities and was the only one for about half a year before the next one popped up. It took him a long time to get other's trust and worked hard to earn it, as well as working on learning the extent of his abilities and how to control them. When the others' abilities slowly started manifesting, it made many Gems afraid all over again and needed time to realize that those Gemmismae were not a threat, even though some of them possessed abilities that could cause absolute chaos if they were to turn evil.

When the first few of The Fifteen had gotten their abilities, they gathered with their families at one place to stick together and train together, and when they heard of another Gemmismae popping up somewhere on Ditee-ath with an ability they would go there and ask them if they wanted to join their little group. The Fifteen ended up settling down in a large village where two of them were living, because their father was the chief. He welcomed them all, gave them a home and Ennorath, the oldest of them all and the first to get his abilities, ended up as "the leader" of The Fifteen. No other individual Gem had these abilities while The Fifteen were alive. It wasn't until The Fifteen had passed away that newborn Gemmismae would get one of these abilities. The Fifteen wanted to share their abilities with the rest of their species, so on their deathbeds they passed on their abilities to the Gemmismae species. Four of The Fifteen, more specifically earth, water, fire and ice, wanted to share their abilities with the four other Gem species as well. Gemmadites got earth, Undadites got water, Geludites got ice and Ignisdites got fire.

The order in which they got their abilities is:
- Ennorath (Earth)
- Vaireh (Wind)
- Siere (Water)
- Falmahr (Vibration) and Sihma (Mind)
- Yalka (Ice)
- Ourihn (Electricity)
- Faenor (Fire)
- Tavarr (Forest)
- Hrovan (Dark)
- Arya (Light)
- Rautah (Metal)
- Horthan (Telekinesis)
- Rhui (Sound)
- Norahn (Resistance)

Earth
Name: Ennorath
Gender: Male
Gemstone: Brown topaz
Age of manifestation: 25 years old

Ennorath was the first of The Fifteen to get his abilities. He was a very poor man and would steal food to be able to feed his mate and their one-year-old son. He had been praying for better times for him and his small family for a very long time, but his prayers seemed to be unheard. One day he was caught stealing food for the Arivae festival and was chased by the male Gems from the village. The Gems caught up to him and cornered him by the foot of a mountain where they began to throw rocks at him. Ennorath covered his head and his face with his arms to protect himself from the flying rocks, panicking and wishing that he wasn't going to die. Suddenly, the rocks stopped coming at him and the men around him sounded horrified, making Ennorath lower his arms to see what was going on, and was horrified himself when he saw a bunch of the rocks hanging mid-air. He couldn't believe what he saw in front of him and didn't believe that he had caused that, until another rock was thrown at him and it stopped mid-air as well when he raised his hand to protect his face. Ennorath was shocked, but saw an opportunity to escape, so he pushed his hand forward, making the rocks fling back at the men and giving him the chance to run away.

When he returned home, he didn't tell his mate about what had happened and would keep it a secret until he had found out about the extent of his newly gained abilities, however, he couldn't keep it a secret for long. Everyone in the small village began to talk about what had happened on the day he was chased, and the talk eventually reached Ennorath's mate. He asked Ennorath about it, who would deny it, but his mate was persistent and Ennorath eventually had to tell the truth and showed him his abilities. He was worried that his mate would be afraid of him and that he would lose him and their son, but it was quite the opposite. His mate was mad at first that Ennorath had kept it from him, but he was also very curious about the new ability and found it fascinating. Ennorath did his best to avoid the small village, knowing that the Gems there were afraid of him, and would go to the mountains to train rigorously with his abilities to control them and to try and figure out exactly what he could do with them. One day while training, a week after his abilities had first manifested, he heard someone scream for help and quickly ran to their aid. It was a small family, who had gone for a walk in the mountains, and their daughter had slipped through a crack and was now stuck below ground, crying for her parents and helpless. Ennorath used his abilities to "open" the crack even more and get the girl out of the hole. The parents were surprised that he had helped them, since the male was one of those who had chased Ennorath the day his abilities manifested, but they were nonetheless thankful for his help. Once they got back home, they told everyone about Ennorath's good deed. Many were still afraid of him, worried that he would take revenge or use his abilities in malicious ways.

Wind
Name: Vaireh
Gender: Female
Gemstone: Tanzine aura quartz
Age of manifestation: 11 years old

Vaireh's abilities manifested while she was playing around outside of her home, picking flowers, making flower crowns and dancing around while feeling the soft wind move through her hair. When she did a series of twirls around herself the speed of the wind around her began to pick up and formed a small twister around her, no taller than she was, which shocked her and made her stop twirling. She was scared, thinking that she was going to get blown away, but the twister disappeared just about five seconds after she had stopped twirling. She looked around confused, startled and still shocked. Had she just created a small twister when she twirled? Despite being scared she began to twirl again, and a small twister formed around her once more, and disappeared when she stopped twirling. She got more curious than she was scared and began to move one of her arms as elegantly as she could, imagining that a trail of wind followed her hands, and it happened. A small blurry trail of wind followed her hand around and stopped when she stopped moving her hand.

She called for her parents and showed them what she could do once they got outside to her, and both of her parents were shocked and afraid. They took her back inside and told her that she couldn't use those abilities again, and that no one else could ever know about it. Of course, Vaireh was far too curious about her abilities to not use them, so she did, but only when she was a bit away from her home where her parents couldn't see her. Unfortunately, some kids spotted her using her abilities and ran back home to tell their parents, who went to Vaireh's parents to tell them about what their kids had seen. When Vaireh came back home about an hour later, the other Gemmismae were still talking to her parents, who wanted to scold her for not listening to them, but they couldn't make themselves do it; she was just a curious little girl after all. However, the other Gemmismae were not happy with the parents' decision and left enraged. After that, they forbid their kids to play with Vaireh. Vaireh's parents soon heard word about Ennorath, a Gemmismae who had something similar happen to him. They took Vaireh, sought out Ennorath and asked him for help to guide their daughter. Although Ennorath was still training his own abilities, he agreed to help Vaireh; she was just a little girl after all.

Water
Name: Siere
Gender: Female
Gemstone: Aqua aura quartz
Age of manifestation: 11 years old

Siere was a fisherman's daughter, and while she and both of her parents had underwater traits and could live in the sea, they didn't. They lived on land, but close to the shore with other Gemmismae who had underwater traits. Siere loved to be in the water and would often swim in the ocean, but only in the shallow parts, because the dangerous sea animals didn't swim in those parts. She was also only allowed to swim when either of her parents could be there to watch her in case something happened, and she was only 11 years old, so she shouldn't be swimming on her own in the dangerous waters. Since her father was a fisherman, he was out on the sea to catch fish daily and would sometimes be away a few days in a row, and on those days her mother didn't have much time to look after her at the beach, since she had chores to do at home. It upset Siere a lot when she didn't get to swim when she wanted to and one day, she wanted to swim so badly that she went to the beach on her own. Her mother caught her before she got to jump in the water and started scolding her for running off to the beach on her own and told her that she knew she wasn't allowed to swim without supervision from her or her father. Siere got so frustrated and upset that she couldn't swim that she threw a tantrum.

While she was throwing the tantrum the sea suddenly got wild. The waves got bigger and bigger the more she screamed and cried. Her mother noticed how the waves matched Siere's tantrum, but refused to believe what she was seeing. Nonetheless, she did her best to calm her daughter down and as Siere calmed down, so did the sea. Siere's mother was shocked at what had just happened, and they were not alone at the beach. There were other Gems at the beach and they had all witnessed what happened. Her mother took Siere back home and waited for her mate to come home, and when he came in the evening he was stunned when he saw his daughter running around in their home with a trail of water following her in the air. He got the story from his mate about what had happened and they had to talk about what they should do. They had heard about Ennorath and Vaireh, and they themselves had been talking not so nicely about them for being different like that, and now the same thing had happened to their daughter. They were almost certain that it was their punishment from the universe for judging Ennorath and Vaireh. They decided to try and seek out Ennorath and Vaireh, since Ennorath could help Siere understand her abilities and Vaireh was a kid like Siere. The two girls got along well and Siere soon got training from Ennorath as well.

Fire
Name: Faenor
Gender: Male
Gemstone: Sunshine aura quartz
Age of manifestation: 21 years old

Faenor was a very calm man who usually kept to himself and his biggest fear in life was fire. His family's home caught fire when he was just a small boy and his mother died in the flames. Faenor had been incredibly scared of fire ever since and would go a big circle around any fire, like a bonfire or a torch. He was deep in the forest one day to search for berries and other plants that had not dried out from the bad drought they were experiencing in his region, due to a very long time with incredibly high temperatures. He had been away for hours and was giving up finding more, as he had barely managed to fill his basket halfway. He was heading back home when he suddenly smelled something that made him freeze in place; fire. The drought land had caught fire due to the high temperatures and Faenor found himself trapped in a nightmare. He began to run as fast as he could to outrun the fire and get to safety, but the fire was spreading faster than he could run and he was soon surrounded by fire with no chance of escaping. Faenor tried to find a way out, but he was completely surrounded. If he tried to jump over the fire he would just jump straight into the flames. Faenor, who was sure that he was going to die, began throwing his arms around in a panic and to his surprise the fire moved away from him as he moved his arms.

He wasn't sure if he was being delusional from his near-death experience, or if what he was seeing was actually true, so he stopped moving his arms and just stared at the fire for a few seconds before he stretched out his arm and moved it to the side; the fire moved in sync with his arm and formed a small pathway in front of him. Faenor realized something. Not only could he control the fire, but he had also noticed that he wasn't feeling hot and sweaty from being surrounded by the fire. He had no time to stand there and think about what had happened and began to run down the pathway he had created and every time he ran into a wall of fire, he would create a pathway. On his way out of the forest he heard the crying help from another Gemmismae who had been caught in the fire as well. Faenor made his way to the trapped Gemmismae and rescued him. The other Gemmismae saw how Faenor could control the fire and he was shocked upon first seeing it, but he was grateful. Once they returned to the village the other Gemmismae told everyone how Faenor had saved him and Faenor was celebrated as a hero. Faenor overcame his fear of fire that day and soon went to the village Ennorath had settled in with the other Gemmismae. The Gemmismae he saved ended up following him to the village and the two soon became mates.

Forest
Name: Tavarr
Gender: Male
Gemstone: Dioptase
Age of manifestation: 17 years old

Tavarr was a huge green thumb, as in he loved plants and knew how to take care of them. He knew about all known plants on Ditee-ath and was one of those who discovered most new plants. He loved to take care of flowers, trees and basically any plant he could take care of. He knew all the benefits of the plants and was just genuinely caring for nature. Other Gemmismae thought of him as grumpy, since he always had a stern look on his face, but he wasn't grumpy at all. Tavarr was a very calm and down to earth guy, and when he was very focused, which he was when he was working with plants, he always had a stern look on his face. Tavarr was in his small garden one day to plant some new flowers and remove weed, and noticed that one of his favorite plants had been stomped down. It upset him a lot and as he was touching the flowers to take them out of the soil, they slowly came back to life. Rather than freaking out or being in shock from seeing the flowers come back to life, Tavarr was beyond happy that his favorite flowers were saved and he got curious about this newfound ability. He knew that there had been a wildfire in the nearby forest a few days prior, so he decided to go to the burnt down forest and see if there was anything he could do.

While walking around in the burnt forest, Tavarr felt so bad for the plant life. The beautiful colorful forest had turned into a black mess and he lost hope of reviving anything in an area that was already dead and burnt to a crisp. Realizing that he may have had his hopes up too much to rescue the burnt part of the forest, Tavarr moved to the part that had not been touched by the fire, but had dried out plants from the drought. He picked up a few dry leaves and they slowly turned from brown to green. Tavarr was ecstatic! He had just made brown, dead leaves go green and be full of life again. He put the leaves down and began to walk around the area, touching trees and bushes that had dried out due to the drought and brought all of them back to life and even made sprouts shoot out of the ground. He spent almost an hour reviving the forest until he no longer could from exhaustion. The abilities were new, he had to learn how to use them and get used to them as well. It didn't take long before other Gemmismae saw what Tavarr had done and were impressed; shocked, but impressed. Ennorath's mate showed up in the village Tavarr lived in and asked him to come join Ennorath and the other Gemmismae with abilities back in the other village. Tavarr accepted the offer and followed Ennorath's mate back to him and the others.

Ice
Name: Yalka
Gender: Male
Gemstone: Blue topaz
Age of manifestation: 11 years old

Yalka was a very lively boy who loved to play around in snow. He lived with his parents in the part of the region "Unala" where the temperature rarely ever went above freezing point, which meant that there was always snow for him to play in. He had never really been one to freeze when he was outside in the cold, like any other Gemmismae, and many did find it strange that he never froze or got cold when he was outside. His mothers thought nothing of it and just enjoyed seeing their son being so happy. On the day his powers manifested, he was outside of his home having a snowball fight with his older cousin. He was about to throw a snowball he had just made when he saw the snowball turn into pure clear ice in his hand. He dropped the ice ball on the ground and made another snowball right away just to see it turn into ice as well. He called for a truce with his cousin to show him what had happened and they both found it extremely cool. His cousin tried to do it too, but he couldn't make the snowball turn into ice. They were both excited regardless and got their parents outside to show them what Yalka could do.

At this point there was hardly any Gem on Ditee-ath who hadn't heard about Ennorath, Vaireh, Siere, Falmahr and Sihma, so it was no longer that much of a shock when a Gemmismae turned out to have abilities as well, but it was surprising that it was a new ability each time. Yalka's birth mother was excited that her son had turned out to be the next Gemmismae with abilities, and while his other mother was excited too, she was also worried. She immediately saw the potential danger in Yalka's abilities and more so because they didn't know exactly what he could do other than turning a ball of snow into a ball of ice. There was also the fact that he was just 11 years old and probably would not be able to have full control of his abilities until he was older. Yalka's mothers did their best to help him train with his abilities, but they didn't know how to do it properly, so Yalka didn't really improve. To their luck, Ennorath had gotten word of Yalka shortly after his abilities manifested and showed up on his own to ask Yalka and his mothers to join him and the others back in the village. They were reluctant at first, since they were used to the cold environment and Yalka obviously needed the cold weather to help him with his abilities, but thankfully, the village was in an area where snow wasn't all that uncommon, so they accepted and went with Ennorath. Yalka slowly learned to use his abilities and got new friends around his age, who were just like him.

Electricity
Name: Ourihn
Gender: Female
Gemstone: Champagne aura quartz
Age of manifestation: 15 years old

Ourihn was in the forest and picking berries one day when a thunderstorm broke out. She hurried back home, since she knew that being in the forest during a thunderstorm was very dangerous, but also because lightning always seemed to have a particular "liking" to her. Ever since she was a little girl lightning had always seemed to strike down very close to her if she happened to be outside during a thunderstorm, so she had always been cautious when it looked like the weather would be bad and a thunderstorm would start. However, on the day Ourihn was out to pick berries the thunderstorm had snuck up on her. She was doing her best to get home as fast as possible, but as soon as she stepped out of the forest, she became a moving target for the lightning. Ourihn did her very best to dodge the lightning and managed to escape six lightning bolts, but she wasn't as lucky with the seventh as it hit her just as she was about half a minute from reaching her home.

However, Ourihn didn't fall to the ground injured or dead; she was still standing and her entire body was surrounded by visible sparks of lightning. She was in disbelief, very scared and didn't know how to stop the lightning that was surrounding her body. She called out her parents' names, hoping they would hear her because she was so close to their home, and they did. All three of them heard Ourihn call out their names and immediately ran to her aid. Her mother and father tried to calm her down in hopes that that would stop the lightning sparks, and while they focused on her, her step father went to find Ennorath. Last time anyone heard about them they had settled down in a village on the other side of the planet, so he hoped and prayed that the words were true and traveled through a gemstone to get there as fast as he could. He quickly found Ennorath and pleaded for him to come with him and help his daughter, but Ennorath didn't need his pleading and went with Ourihn's step father on his own. Upon arriving Ourihn was still having her body surrounded by sparks of lightning and was very scared. Ennorath did his very best to help her relax and succeeded after about five minutes. Once Ourihn finally calmed down, Ennorath offered for them to come with him back to the village where the others were and he would help Ourihn with her abilities there along with the others. Ourihn and her parents accepted Ennorath's offer and followed him back to Unala to the others.

Dark
Name: Hrovan
Gender: Male
Gemstone: Black opal
Age of manifestation: 22 years old

Hrovan was a man with many struggles and a lot of trauma, which had caused him to become very distant, bitter and cruel, which made him not so well-liked by the others in his village. It was always a gamble to approach him, because no one knew if he was in a bad mood and would cuss you off, or if he was in an even worse mood and would lash out. Hrovan hadn't always been like that, but used to be gentler and caring towards others. He had lost his parents when he was 8 years old to a predator and had to fend for himself ever since. It was a struggle, but he always managed to go by and still had some good left in him to care about others. What really pushed him over the edge though, was when he lost his mate when he was 19. The two of them had only been mates for about a year when it happened. They were at the beach for a swim and his mate kept going further out, despite Hrovan telling him not to go too far out. To his horror a large ocean predator caught his mate and he could do nothing but watch as his mate was killed in front of him. A few Undadites tried to save his mate, but it was too late. Hrovan was beyond heartbroken and tore himself down for not being able to save his beloved. He believed that he was never meant to feel the joy of happiness and love.

A dark cloud washed over Hrovan when he felt the ache in his heart from losing his mate and his shadow started expanding, growing bigger and bigger, and making everyone it touched feel his sorrow. When he realized what was happening with his shadow, he thought that he was going to die and welcomed death with open arms so he could be with his mate again. As he calmed down, the shadow slowly shrank back to its usual state and Hrovan felt nothing but disappointment that he wasn't taken too, but at the same time didn't have it in it to end his own life. He used his new abilities to make anyone who approached him feel his sorrow and hatred for life, or used his ability to hurt them through their shadows. When Ennorath eventually came to him and asked him to join him back in the other village to learn his abilities among others like him, Hrovan accepted, but only stayed with them for about a week before he returned to his home. A month after having left Ennorath and the others, he ended up returning when he was persuaded by one of the newcomers, Arya, to come back to the others like them with her. He tried to scare her off and tried to use his abilities on her, but to no avail; she wasn't affected in the slightest. Arya was something different, she couldn't be affected by his abilities and it was like he was drawn to her. Hrovan gave in and went with her back to Ennorath and the others. Arya became his new mate a year later.

Light
Name: Arya
Gender: Female
Gemstone: White opal
Age of manifestation: 19 years old

Arya had always been a very kind and bright girl who loved to spend time outdoors, be around others and help others. She had taken part in pretty much any social event in her village since she was a little girl and was well liked by many of the villagers; especially the elderly. Everyone knew that Arya was always ready to help with almost anything if she had the time. She always seemed to shine when she smiled and radiated warmth to those around her. Arya was on a walk in the forest by herself one day and saw a small cluster of flowers under a tree so big that the leaves completely blocked the rays from the sun, leaving the flowers with no sunlight. She felt kind of sorry for the flowers that were being shaded like that, since they were hanging a bit from not getting any sunlight. She wanted to climb the tree to try and move the leaves away to let the sunlight get through, but the tree was tall and she wasn't much of a climber, so there was nothing she could do.

Feeling a bit defeated about not being able to do anything for the beautiful flowers, she decided to pick them and bring them back home. However, as she reached down to start picking the flowers, a beam of light suddenly emitted from the palm of her hand. Shocked, Arya pulled her hand back and looked at her palm, which had gone back to normal, so she was certain that it had just been her imagination. She reached out for the flowers again, and a beam of light emitted from her palm once more, but this time she stared at the beam while still reaching for the flowers and she felt the warmth that came from her palm. The flower seemed to slowly come back to life as well, which completely startled her and caught her by surprise. She stood up, reached out her other hand as well and a beam of light emitted from her palm as well. The small cluster of flowers came to life in front of her and she could not help but smile. Of course, word spread of Arya's newfound powers and soon Ennorath's mate showed up to ask Arya to join him, Ennorath and the others back in the village to train her abilities with them, to which she said yes. She and her two mothers joined them and shortly after joining them, Arya was asked to try and persuade Hrovan to join them again. When she met Hrovan, he of course tried to scare her off, but she knew what he had been through and felt pity for him, however, she managed to convince him to go back with her. A year later Hrovan became her mate.

Metal
Name: Rautah
Gender: Male
Gemstone: Grey diamond
Age of manifestation: 19 years old

Rautah was the son of a blacksmith and would help his father in the workshop from when he was a small boy. His mother passed away from an illness when he was 4 years old, so his father had to take him with him to the workshop to make money, so he could provide for his son. His father made and repaired various things in his workshop, like jewelry, weapons and tools. Rautah wasn't allowed to get close to his father when he had to use the fire to get the metal burning hot to shape with his hammer, since he didn't want his son to get injured. Instead, he made Rautah clean his tools and separate new metal deliveries into different groups; iron, silver, bronze, gold, aluminum and so on. It made his father's job easier that he didn't have to sort the metals himself first, because it meant that he could just go straight to work. Rautah looked up to his father and wished to be like him when he got older; strong and the village's best black smith. Even though he couldn't get close to his father when he was by the fire, he watched from his little safe spot and took mental notes on how he did the various things and what he did to make sure he didn't get burned himself.

His father let Rautah work on his first weapon for practice when he was 12 years old, and under his supervision of course. He let him do it on the condition that he didn't get near the fire without him there. By the time he was 17 Rautah worked side by side with his father and took on commissions for making or repairing jewelry, weapons and tools on his own. One day Rautah was going to work on repairing a hunting dagger that had gotten a crack along the blade, and as he touched along the crack to assess how bad it was, the crack slowly repaired itself where he had touched it. Rautah didn't believe what he just saw and moved his finger away from the blade, but to be sure that he hadn't gone mad, he moved his finger along the rest of the crack and the same thing happened; the crack repaired itself. He put the dagger down, picked up another weapon that needed to be repaired, called his father over and showed him what happened when he touched the broken part of the weapon. His father was as shocked as Rautah was, but also very impressed and proud, because he knew what it meant; his son was one of the special Gemmismae who developed an ability. His father didn't doubt his son's abilities and didn't even wait for Ennorath to show up; he encouraged Rautah to go to where Ennorath and the others had settled and he promised he would come soon, but he had to finish up current orders. Rautah did as his father wished and traveled to Ennorath and the others. He showed them what he could do with metal and was immediately welcomed by them.

Sound
Name: Rhui
Gender: Female
Gemstone: Padparadscha sapphire
Age of manifestation: 20 years old

Rhui had always had an exceptional hearing ever since she was a little girl and could hear the smallest sound from far away. She was good at imitating the sounds that animals would make, but obviously didn't sound like them 100%. She liked to impress others with animal sound imitations, so it was something she would often practice to get better at and would practice to imitate all kinds of animals. It was a passion of hers, perhaps a weird one, but it was something she loved to do nonetheless; probably because she got a lot of praise for her imitations. As an adult, when the abilities began to appear among the Gemmismae, some of the villagers thought that Rhui was one of them, but since she wasn't the only one who could do animal sound imitations they quickly brushed that thought aside again.

One day Rhui was practicing some imitations in the village when she suddenly made a sound so high pitched that everyone in a radius of 20 meters around her got momentarily sick with vomiting and dizziness. The only one who didn't get sick from the high pitch sound was Rhui and it made her feel really bad that she made most of those villagers sick. She was also very shocked that she had made such a high pitched sound, since it wasn't something she had done before. Everyone else was shocked as well and was certain that she was one of the special ones. She kept to herself for a short while to find out on her own if she really was one of those Gemmismae and learned that she could imitate sounds, as well as voices, and sound exactly like the sound or a voice. She sought out Ennorath and the others and joined them, since she needed help with training to learn how to control her abilities.

Vibration
Name: Falmahr
Gender: Male (Older twin brother of "Mind")
Gemstone: Purple sapphire
Age of manifestation: 10 years old

Falmahr and his younger twin sister, Sihma, were both born with disabilities and were children of the chief of a big village. Falmahr was born completely blind in both eyes and had to be around one of his parents or a maid at all times. The villagers were cautious around the twins, since they knew how much of a soft spot it was for their mother that they were disabled. She wasn't disappointed or hated her children for being disabled, on the contrary she loved them very much, but she was worried if they would "break" if she didn't make their surroundings and their lives easy for them to live, so she did whatever she could to make sure that they were taken well care of by any babysitter, or just by anyone of the villagers who wished to meet the chief's children. It was like that throughout all of their childhood. Falmahr was often annoyed that he couldn't run around and play games like any other kid, but he couldn't even walk around without having someone guide him.

When Falmahr was 10 years old he began to be able to slowly navigate around on his own, which surprised pretty much everyone since he was blind. Most of the bigger things in their home he had sort of memorized the placement of, but when he was outside he had no idea where anything was, but yet he was able to walk around and not bump into anything or anyone. His parents asked him, and his sister who had started doing something unexpected as well, how he did that, and he explained that he could feel the vibration in the ground when others walked around him. He could send out vibrations from under his feet and his palms, which would vibrate back to him when they hit something and sort of "map out" where everything around him was. Basically, he was using the vibrations as a type of sonar to see. The news of Falmahr and Sihma's abilities soon reached Ennorath, who then came to the village to help the twins, along with his own mate and child, but also Vaireh and Siere with their families. The twins' father wanted Ennorath to help his kids understand their abilities, and since he was the chief of the village he couldn't leave with his mate and the twins if another Gemmismae with abilities would turn up, so he offered Ennorath, Vaireh and Siere that they could settle in his village and would welcome any other Gemmismae who would turn out to be like them. Ennorath accepted the chief's offer and so did Vaireh and Siere's parents, since they still needed Ennorath's guidance, and they figured that it was better for their kids to be around someone like themselves. They got to build their own homes and got help from other Gemmismae from the village.

Mind
Name: Sihma
Gender: Female (Younger twin sister of "Vibration)
Gemstone: Pezzottaite
Age of manifestation: 10 years old

Sihma and her older twin brother, Falmahr, were both born with disabilities and the kids of a large village's chief. She was born without a vocal cord and was completely mute, which meant she couldn't talk or make any sound. Because of that, her mother wanted Sihma to be around an adult at all times, in case she needed something, or if she started crying someone would be there to notice and comfort her. She got even more cautious of Sihma when she began to crawl and walk around, since she could move away without anyone noticing, get hurt and no one would be able to hear her. It had always bothered Sihma that she couldn't be more expressive and communicate properly.

When Sihma was 10 years old she seemed to be able to read others' minds, as she would respond with nods, shakes of her head or hand gestures to someone before they had asked her a question, or talked to her, as if she already knew what they were going to say. Sometimes it was even as if they could hear a small voice inside their minds give them the same answer as Sihma was communicating with her head and hands. Her parents asked her and her brother, who had started doing something unexpected as well, how she did that, and she explained that she could hear others' thoughts in her mind and she had found out to make her thoughts appear in others' minds as well.

Telekinesis
Name: Horthan
Gender: Male
Gemstone: Carnelian
Age of manifestation: 13 year old

Horthan was a very temperamental child and would often throw tantrums if he didn't get it his way or get what he wanted. His mothers and step father had no idea what to do about his tantrums and were often worried about letting him go outside, because other parents had complained to them about his tantrums and how violent they could get at times. They loved their son more than anything, but they were at a loss and had tried various things to make him calm down; taken him to natural hot springs, camped out in the forest, made sure that his home environment was comfy and comfortable, but nothing worked. Horthan's tantrums got worse and worse until one day he had a tantrum so bad that everything on the shelves, and even the furniture, flew through the room. His parents were scared after witnessing that and Horthan collapsed exhausted to the floor after releasing such immense energy.

His parents knew that they had to seek out Ennorath, since they knew that he helped the other Gemmismae with abilities with training to control theirs, and they hoped that he could help Horthan control his. They traveled to the village where they had settled down and it didn't take long before Horthan had a tantrum and gave everyone a taste of not only his bad tantrums, but his abilities as well. Luckily for Horthan the village had a magnificent medic and spiritual healer who could help him with his temper. The medic had also helped Siere with her temper, since she still threw tantrums every now and then when she arrived in the village. Ennorath thought it was crucial for Horthan to get control of his emotions and temper before he even tried to control his abilities. From what he had seen it seemed like Horthan's abilities, at that moment, were mainly activated by his extreme tantrums, so he needed to have a calm mind before he could start training his abilities. It took Horthan three months to get a calmer mind and be in better control of his emotions, but it was finally time for him to start training to use his abilities.

Resistance
Name: Norahn
Gender: Male
Gemstone: Turquoise
Age of manifestation: 12 years old

Norahn was a very fragile boy and would get injured and bruise up easily, but it didn't stop him from being adventurous. He loved to explore the forest and the nearby mountains, but he would always end up with various minor cuts and bruises every time he was out. His birth father was always so worried when Norahn left their home to play outside, because he always came home with new bruises and sometimes he had even sprained something. Despite his worries for his son, he and his mate didn't want to discourage their son from being as adventurous as he was and stop him from having fun, and they always did their best to hide their worry for their son. Norahn's birth father always sought comfort with his mate and needed to hear from him that everything would be okay, and their son would outgrow being so fragile.

One day Norahn was out in the forest with his fathers to be adventurous together. Norahn climbed a tree to get a flower for his birth father, but while climbing the tree one of the branches broke and Norahn fell to the ground. His parents could only watch in horror, as they were too far away to reach him, while their son fell from the tree and landed on his back on the ground. Worried and scared out of their minds they rushed over to their son, who was crying loudly from the impact with the hard ground, and carefully helped him up. His clothes were ripped in several places from catching onto smaller twigs while falling, and cuts on his skin were visible through the holes. They were about to rush their son back to the village's medic to have him look at him, but Norahn stopped crying, looked at his fathers and said that the pain had stopped. His fathers looked at each other, then at Norahn and noticed that most of the cuts had healed up; some were still healing up on their own as they watched. They were in disbelief of what they saw, since their son was so easily injured and bruised, but they were watching the cuts heal up on their own. They were 100% sure that it was an ability that their son had developed, but they wanted it confirmed by Ennorath. Norahn's birth father wasn't exactly happy that his son had to hurt himself purpose, but it was the only way to get it confirmed. True enough, Norahn's injury healed right away as they were watching. Norahn was the last Gemmismae to get his ability and became a part of "Tho Foftiin".

THE TERRIDEE ENTITY

Click me to see ref of Naelgrath

When Gems started roaming Ditee-ath they were quick to believe in the spiritual and the paranormal, as many scary and unexplainable things would happen during the dark hours of the day. They would see apparitions, things would move on their own, hear disembodied voices talking and see shadows move. All of these scary things, and many more, happened all year around, but it always seemed to be worse during the month of Pludri. They had no explanation for what was happening and believed that something as unseen entities existed, which later would be referred to as ghosts, spirits and dark entities.

It was during that time that mediums, psychics, clairvoyants and shamans started developing their abilities, and they would advise and guide the Gems on what to do to ward off these entities, but Gems still feared the dark and what could be lurking in it. Their fear fueled the paranormal energies around the planet and brought to life many dark entities, but one in particular got the most fuel of their fear, and that was the dark entity they later on named "Naelgrath". Naelgrath was a malicious trickster, who lived off of the Gems' fear of the dark, and of him in particular.

Naelgrath was a floating dark purple orb with spiky flame-like hair, piercing yellow eyes and a menacing grin. He possessed different abilities that helped him invoke fear in the Gems, such as use telekinesis, float, shape-shifting, manipulate smoke, manipulate the mind, possession and the ability to transform into terrifying demon-like creature with big and curvy horns, razor sharp teeth, a menacing grin, multiple eyes, spikes growing out of his shoulders, razor sharp and long nails, and six tentacle-like tails. However, Naelgrath could only use his abilities to a certain extent, but during one month in particular, he was always the strongest; Pludri. It was said to be the month where the veil between the world of the living and the underworld would be the thinnest, giving Naelgrath, and other dark entities, the most power to terrorize the Gems. Naelgreath's type of entity was called "Goehl", and he wasn't the only Goehl, but he was the strongest of them all, and the most feared.

THE SPIRIT OF LIFE

In ancient times, long before Arivae and Teuivae were born, there was a long period with drought, food shortages, dying plants and infertility. No one could figure out what caused the fatigue in the soil and were getting desperate. They began to pray to whatever spirit would listen to their prayers for the crops and plants to grow again, water and to be able to reproduce again. They prayed for weeks before their prayers were heard and a white translucent spirit was seen bringing an end to the drought, making the crops and plants grow again, and those who had been praying to become fertile had seen the same spirit visit them in their dreams before they were able to become pregnant. Gems referred the translucent spirit as the "Spirit of Life", because it brought back water for their crops and made the Gems fertile again, but named it "Khoivie", to honor it. From that moment on the Gems would pray to the Khoivie if they had trouble with their crops, or if they had trouble getting pregnant.

THE SPIRIT OF AFTERLIFE

In ancient times, when Khoivie first showed signs of existence, another spirit just like it showed up, but it was darker than Khoivie and would only appear when it was time for a Gem to pass on to the afterlife. The Gems acknowledged the spirit and referred to it as the "Spirit of Afterlife", because it came in times when a Gem was to pass on, but they named it "Effirie", so it would have a name as well. From then on, Gems would pray to Effirie for a peaceful passing when they knew that their time had come, either from old age, sickness, or in the worst case scenario if they were in an accident and knew they would not make it out alive. Effirie would appear, take the soul of the Gem and bring it to the afterlife where the soul would be in limbo until it was ready to be reborn to a new life.
