What is the name of the animal?
- Orma (plural Ormae)

What kind of animal is it?
- Mainly land, but has fair swimming capabilities

Does it have fur/feathers/scales?
- Has fur, flubber, and webbed paws.

How big is the animal?
- Adults can be 3.5 ft/107 cm at shoulder and weigh 420 lbs/190 kg

Is the animal is wild, domestic or used in agriculture?
- Most known ones are wild but it is not unheard of to have some rescues domesticated--usually cubs discovered whose parents were hunted.

Is it a predator, or prey?
- Mainly predators; some Gems hunt them, and some sea creatures are able to hunt the cubs.

Diet?
- Omnivorous, eats basically anything it can find. It's not completely immune to poisons so it often stays away from colorful fish.

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- Neither; there aren't many but their population has remained relatively steady over recorded time.

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Yes, they're usually safe to eat under their layers of fat.

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Calait is most common; also Monuave, Hycatus, and Unala.

Leox
Created by Syramoon
Click me to see ref of Leox

What is the name of the animal?
- Leox

What kind of animal is it?
- Land animal

Does it have fur/feathers/scales?
- Fur, almost tightly 'woven' to defend from any attacks with two overcoats and a single undercoat (first overcoat is long, second is shorter and almost 'weave' together)

How big is the animal?
- To shoulder: 3ft/1m
- Head to tail tip: 8.5ft/2.6m
- Weight: 425lbs/193kg

Is the animal is wild, domestic or used in agriculture?
- Wild, though there have been attempts by very brave (or stupid depending on your definition) Gems to attempt to domesticate it and/or use it as a hunting partner but Leox are most certainly wild animals at this current point in Ditee-ath history.

Is it a predator, or prey?
- Predator

Diet?
- Carnivore; will even attempt to attack Gems in the area but anything in the area is generally fair game to attack and eat

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- Flourishing based on their statistics, they're uncommon to see but each stakes out a territory that is quite large to hunt in, thus why they're uncommon, though they're definitely taking a hit from Gems attempting to protect their forest homes and drive the Leox from them to make them safer to travel through, particularly at night.

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Yes, technically, though the meat is stringy and most would shy away from eating a Leox, it is possible to eat one

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Typically in the forests in the more temperate to colder regions

Other info?
- Young Leox are given gemstones to chew on that bond to their teeth due to their saliva's properties. This property fades after a period of time, but the gemstones stay bonded. It gives their snarl a terrifying appearance and also strengthens their teeth.
- The stripes are unique to every Leox and no two Leox share the exact same markings.
- Mother gives birth to live young, usually around two to three pups at a time and she solely takes care of them until they're old enough to hunt on their own (approximately a year), the parents are only together for mating.
- Has a 3rd eyelid to cover and protect eyes further, however it decreases ability to see properly
- Can hackle and snarl in terms of attempting to intimidate, though on a very young Leox, many Gems might call it cute (though with mother not far behind in those cases, the Gem would be smart to flee quickly)
- Nocturnal predators, using sight and sound to hone in from a distance and scent once close enough and certain sounds will immediately draw the local Leox (usually the cries of wounded animals or thrashing in underbrush)
- Claws are very sharp and non-retractable
- Ears can move independent of one another and practically swivel on the Leox's head
- Generally darkly colored, the example above is dark green but they can vary out into very dark reds, blacks, grays, and browns.
- Female Leox are larger than males as a rule though it might not be obvious, the smallest females are around the same size as large to mid-sized males.
- Quite a flexible body and joints, though it's quite long-legged, it's built thin and lithe for slinking and stalking through thick forests and weaving around trees

Cinnabar-rabbit
Created by MajikkanBeingsUnite
Click me to see ref of Cainnbar-rabbit

What is the name of the animal? Cinnabar-rabbit

What kind of animal is it?
- Land-animal with characteristics of rabbits, cats, and pikas.

Does it have fur/feathers/scales?
- Lovely soft fur, it feels nice to pet if they'll let you.

How big is the animal?
- Max height (standing up straight, on all fours): approximately 1 foot / 30 cm.
- Max length (nose to rump, not including tail or ears): approximately 1 foot 5 inches / 37 cm.
- Max weight: approximately 160 lbs / 72.5 kilograms (due to about half their volume being mercury).

Is the animal is wild, domestic or used in agriculture?
- Wild, although it is possible to tame them and keep them as pets. They're very difficult to take care of since they require mercury.

Is it a predator, or prey?
- Prey

Diet?
- Herbivorous and chemovorous, they eat plant matter, and mercury ore (especially cinnabar, hence the name)

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- Low availability of mercury and very slow reproduction rates are the only thing keeping the population in check. In other words, they are very much flourishing, in spite of their apparent rarity.

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Gemmismae, and predatory animals that can withstand toxins, can eat them

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Anywhere with both naturally occurring mercury ore and vegetation.

Other info?
- This creature's main survival tactic is simply the fact that it's in everyone's best interest that they survive. A healthy lepon is not only harmless, but a joy to be around. An injured or deceased one is toxic mercury.
- They are a minor agricultural pest, since they eat vegetables and are pretty much fearless. The only way to deal with them is to annoy them, without harming or provoking them, until they go away. Making a lot of really annoying loud noises is one of the most effective ways to chase cinnabar rabbits off your farm. This is an excellent job for older children.
- If captured or provoked, they can kick REALLY HARD, after all it takes tremendous strength to move all that mercury.
- Their ears always droop, since even though there is very little mercury there, there's still enough to weigh them down.
- Plush toys representing them are popular, just like how plush toys of bears and other wild creatures are popular on Earth.
- They move around by walking, running, and the occasional little hop. Due to their high mass they can't jump more than an inch or two.
- Unlike other members of the lepon family, who fill an ecological niche like the one that rabbits do on Earth, the conneber-lepon's role is more like that of a tortoise.
- They generally live around fifty years.

Click me to see ref of Cuppir-lepon

What is the name of the animal?
- Cuppir-lepon

What kind of animal is it?
- Land-animal with characteristics of rabbits, cats, and pikas.

Does it have fur/feathers/scales?
- Lovely soft fur, it feels nice to pet.

How big is the animal?
- Max height (standing up straight, on all fours): approximately 5.5 inches / 14 cm.
- Max length (nose to rump, not including tail or ears): approximately 6 inches / 16 cm.
- Max weight: approximately 2 pounds/0.9 kilograms.

Is the animal is wild, domestic or used in agriculture?
- Wild ones are common, and they are sometimes farmed for their green floofy manes which can be sheared like a sheep without harming them. They also make really good pets, and they're super cuddly.

Is it a predator, or prey?
- Prey.

Diet?
- Herbivorous and chemovorous, they eat plant matter and copper ore.

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- Flourishing.

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Yes

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Anywhere with both naturally occurring copper ore and edible vegetation. They can't be found in the polar regions, it's too cold for the little floof buns. They seem to have managed to get everywhere else though

Other info?
- The stones on their heads are chrysocolla.
- The fur from their manes is extremely soft and luxurious, so it can be used to make textiles, but since their manes are so small and you can only shear them twice a year, it is an expensive luxury fabric.
- They move around by running and jumping. They're capable of moving slowly but it's a rare sight, they are permanently either really hyperactive or asleep.
- They can jump really high! Some can jump over 2 meters / 6.5 feet up into the air, and jump over gaps of more than 4 meters / 13 feet across.
- They can run super fast! The fastest cuppir-lepons can run at nearly 45 kmh / 70 mph.
- They can't kick as hard as a conneber-lepon can, since they are smaller, lighter, and less strong, but you still shouldn't underestimate them, it takes serious strength to move at that speed.
- They live about 50 years in captivity, so having one as a pet is a long-term commitment!
- Their fur patterns are variable, but their fur color is always a color found in verdigris (copper patina).

Kraken
Created by TheNerdyMikaYuki

Is it a predator, or prey?
- Predator

Diet?
- Carnivore - fish

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- They may not be the most common but once they mature fully they're not often hunted by any undersea creatures, and they can live long life spans. They're often most vulnerable at either their egg or premature phases, before their barbs come in.

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Yes, even their barb is used for hunting, located in the center of their mouths. Once cooked it's no longer harmful

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Deep in all oceans

Other info?
- Nicknamed "Kraken", taken from the Earth mythos
- They actually didn't have a nickname before Ditee-ath first came in contact with Earth, they had just been creatures of legend. Scientists have found after some studies that the Kraken are somewhat intelligent and can find ways to grasp most objects, navigate spaces well, and do tasks like open jars or fetch objects in mazes. They still aren't considered domesticated since most Gems can't care for them. Also, their colors can vary somewhat, but they're often either pale or grayscale.

REPTILES

Chamog
Created by Syramoon
Click me to see ref of Chamong

What is the name of the animal?
- Chamog

What kind of animal is it?
- Reptilian, semi-aquatic but mainly land-based

Does it have fur/feathers/scales?
- Scales, but rather velvety to the touch

How big is the animal?
- Adult size: 8 in/20.3 cm (average)
- Adult weight: 4.2oz / 120g (average) - Egg size: 1/2 in/1.28 cm (will swell to 1 in/2.54 cm as the embryo develops fully)

Is the animal is wild, domestic or used in agriculture?
- Typically wild, but very common as an exotic pet for Gems due to the attraction to their bright colors and calm mannerisms

Is it a predator, or prey?
- More commonly predator (particularly to aspglo) but there are a few varieties of predator that can and will feed on chamogs.

Diet?
- Insectivore/Carnivore; will feed on almost any insect that walks past it and also small vertebrae animals as an adult, as a young chamog, will feed on all insects, including larval aspglo and insect eggs (very voracious) and can snatch some varieties of insect from the air, either by jumping or with their tongue

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- Typically flourishing in the places they live

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Generally poisonous to most/all predators, though if you skin it carefully and properly without allowing the external skin to touch the meat of the creature, it can be eaten by generally every creature. There are some pores on the back of the chamog where the poison is more concentrated and one would need to avoid damaging those to make sure that the chamog meat is safe to eat

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Typically found in the warm, humid regions, though varieties have spread further in recent years, almost as if chasing after their preferred prey (Aspglo), but they do not thrive in the colder regions of Ditee-ath. It's been found that they can and will 'bruminate' until warmer weather (a process during which the chamog goes into a 'low power' sort of state and will only move if in danger or if prey wanders close by)

Other info?
- Many, many varieties that have markings and colorings extremely independent of one another
- Tends to climb trees but is a powerful swimmer as well with its back legs mainly, able to jump quite high distances while the front legs are more mobile, able to even touch the top of their heads with them
- Eyes are completely independent from one another and gives them a 360 degree viewing range, able to look in two directions at once
- Has a 'glow' to the eyes at night, which is actually their eyes catching any source of light and reflecting it, mimicking aspglo in order to draw them close enough in to eat
- Young chamog hatch with a tail that does not last into adulthood, if not bitten off by a predator, it will drop off after withering as it's only meant to give the chamog a secondary source of nutrients until they become good hunters
- Eggs are soft and leathery and laid in clutches of 16 to 20 and while the mother will stay with the next and protect the eggs, once the chamog eggs hatch, the babies are on their own
- Chamog tongues are around twice the length of their body and hit with great accuracy at a distance, and chamog have a single row of rather sharp teeth meant to crack right through hard carapaces
- Their threat display involves standing tall, opening its mouth, and hissing in a hitch-pitched (rather loud) tone but they will only bite if cornered and will typically run away from danger
- Generally noctural but have fantastic eyesight and good hearing
- They are actually poisonous to the touch, more so across their back and the poisons that are excreted through their skin taste particularly vile to most creatures and will sink through skin rather easily, though with that said, it would take a rather large dose through a large patch of skin to actually kill most larger creatures, usually they'll simply get very, very sick
- Domestic chamog are not poisonous due to not feeding on their wild kin's diet and on aspglo in particular
- Toes are clawed for digging to lay their eggs but also sticky for climbing

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- Flourishing

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Yes, with similar conditions to the Glasswings. They are poisonous to some species but most that eat them now have built up immunity to their toxins. In some regions, they are prepared as a delicacy, especially their tails. Usually they're eaten by Gemmismae; but a few really talented cooks have made a dish edible for other Gems.

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Prefers Temperate and coastal climates; it's part amphibious nature requires it to live near water.

Other info?
- As a result of eating poisonous plants, they have developed very colorful and unique patterns. Almost no two look alike.

What is the name of the animal?
- Mostly called "Impnocts" or just "Imps"

What kind of animal is it?
- Basically a bat

Does it have fur/feathers/scales?
- Its main body has fur

How big is the animal?
- Usually about 9 in // 23 cm for the body and up to 22 in // 56 cm for the wingspan

Is the animal is wild, domestic or used in agriculture?
- Wild; none are known to be domesticated

Is it a predator, or prey?
- Predator if you count bugs

Diet?
- While they do eat things like crawling bugs and worms, their main diet is gemstones beneath the surface. They've adapted crazy sharp fangs and claws that can dig through rock and saliva that can break down most gemstones' structures.

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- Flourishing, almost overtaking their native caves

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Yes, if one avoids the salivary glands. But most people aren't interested in tracking these creatures down and then bringing them to the surface.

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Temperate regions like Ori or Octam; they're exclusively found underground or on surface-level caves. They seem to enjoy cooler places as well.

Other info?
- The general public is very divided on the creatures; there are just as many people who think Impnocts are cool as there are others who have seen a mere image of one and developed a phobia. Additionally, there is debate over just what their cries sound like; some people hear them as screeches, others hear them as small bouts of cackling--this could be perhaps how the Imps got their common name. Also, it's been found that it is often more dangerous for Gems to produce gems on their skin, because it can cause the imps to frenzy around them, trying to eat the growths. It's recommended to instead wear special equipment in areas where they live.

Aspglo

What is the name of the animal?
- Aspglo

What kind of animal is it?
- Insect

Does it have fur/feathers/scales?
- Exoskeleton

How big is the animal?
- Adult size: 1 in/2.5 cm
- Larvae size: 3/4 in/1.9 cm (size of pupae is slightly larger)
- Egg size: 1/4 in/.6 cm

Is the animal is wild, domestic or used in agriculture?
- Wild and typically seen as a pest species by most Gems as they only seem to make more of themselves and don't make anything "useful" for Gems

Is it a predator, or prey?
- Both, while it can and will feed on other insects, it's also prey for anything that can stand the toxins in its body, commonly Gemmismae and Chamogs.

Diet?
- Omnivore; plants, nectar, pollen, and other insects

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- Flourishing, to the point where it's considered a pest by most Gems

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Generally poisonous to most creatures that attempt to eat it, though Chamogs will chow down like nothing else on them.

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Various varieties can be found across Ditee-ath, including some that live further north that are "fuzzy" compared to their southern cousins. (Pictured variety is of a more southern breed.)

Other info?
- Flies quickly (even backwards) and 'hums' in flight
- Poor vision (thus why the glow is important) but an excellent sense of smell (pheromones) and has a rather horrible bite in adult form
- Adults can live anywhere from 3 to 5 years depending on subspecies and living conditions, pupal form can be anywhere between three weeks to five years (condition and subspecies dependent), while larval form can be two to six months
- Typically nocturnal, though will fly during the day if they need to
- Eggs are laid in an eggcase and are soft until they harden (the most dangerous time period for them) and will typically hatch into the larval form in about 3 weeks for most subspecies; what happens past that point is extremely subspecies dependent as colony-based ones will take care of the young until they're fully matured while solo hunters lay their eggs and leave them alone (though they will sometimes 'bury them' with a food source for when the eggs hatch)
- Larvae typically are more plant-based hunters at the beginning but are strongly carnivorous and have 'sticky' feet for climbing most surfaces (glass, metal, and slick surfaces are less climbable for them); though they aren't poisonous when freshly hatched typically and build toxins as they grow
- When going into pupal form, the larval form's exoskeleton hardens and while they can wriggle very slightly, they are unable to move past that and are quite undefended at this stage
- While most are typically solo hunters, a few subspecies will form proper colonies and will hollow out trees to make a larger nest that they will safeguard ferociously; this also applies to wooden homes that they decide to build nests in.

What is the name of the animal?
- Common name "Glasswings" or "Glass Flies", more specific name is "Tintlaes"

What kind of animal is it?
- Insect

Does it have fur/feathers/scales?
- Small scaled wings

How big is the animal?
- Up to 1 inch long and 2.5 inches wing length // 2.5 cm long, 6.4 cm wing length

Is the animal is wild, domestic or used in agriculture?
- Wild

Is it a predator, or prey?
- Mostly prey; but some species can't stomach it

Diet?
- Parasitic; feeds on blood and can drink other fluids

Is the animal flourishing, or near extinction?
- Flourishing

Is the animal suitable for consumption?
- Gemmismae can eat them given their poisonous plant diet. The Glasswings are drawn to blood higher in toxins, which can be harmful to other animals. Most animals know instinctively if they can, but some domesticated species are more oblivious and are recommended to be kept away from them.

What region(s) of Ditee-ath can it be found?
- Tropical and some temperate climates across the world.

Other info?
- Common name "Glasswings" or "Glass Flies", more specific name is "Tintlaes"
- Glasswings have been known to carry disease and illnesses but that's a bit rare to see in the current Ditee-ath. While pests, they are tolerated by some because of their admittedly beautiful wing designs; within a gold or other warm-colored frame, their oblong wings sparkle in direct sunlight. They often travel in groups, and they have a very quick life cycle. Most don't live longer than a few weeks.
