Background

Sloogals are related to eels. The difference is that they have angler teeth and their belly glows.

Basics

Adult: sloogal

Baby: sloogie

Appearance

They have the body and backfin of an Eel, the lower jaw of an Anglerfish with teeth sticking out, both up and downward. They have a third eye angler on their head. 

Their bellies are luminescent and sometimes show lavalamp like orbs shifting around inside. 

Diet

Any kind of aquatic creatures, including Skivets, Felorn, Glish and even Slutargon.

The jaw and stomach of the Sloogal can extend to allow it to consume prey up to twice its size.

Apex predator underwater.

The young can end up as prey to creatures bigger than them.

Typical Personality

They aren't aggressive fish and attacks on humans are extremely rare, in other words, they only discharge electricity when they feel threatened or for predation purposes. 

Body Language

Their mood/body language is determined base on their facial expression plus base on something dealing with the glow/flashing patterns they make.

Social Life

Aside from mating, they have little to no social interaction.

Hunting

Their lava lamp like bellies creates an illusion that features dots that look like small fish to some which when predators go for the kill, the Sloogal kills them.

They are extremely sensitive to water movements and often respond with a high-voltage volley and strike.

Males weigh 30-40kg / 66-88lb on average.

Females weigh 80-100kg / 176-220lb on average.

Gender Difference 

Males:  smaller than females in size, but their whisker length is up to half their body length.

Female: bigger than males in size, but their whiskers length don't go past end of their head.
