Joseph is the prophet of dreams, receiving visions of the future through his own dreams, as well as being able to interpret them in other people's dreams. He is a gentle man with a soft nature, and he is known to cry easily. He is very generous and forgiving, and dislikes holding grudges or keeping secrets. He wears a vibrant multicolored coat that allows him to focus his prophetic powers. It is an angelic artifact known as the Dreamcoat of St. Joseph.
Joseph not only receives a dream about the Crow King prophecy, but he also interprets Michael's own recurring dream. Joseph's prophetic dream has been misinterpreted by the crows to mean a war between the fallen angels and the angels of Heaven, but Joseph tells Michael that his dream is actually prophesying a battle between Michael and the crows. He then interprets Michael's dream to mean that in two weeks' time, Michael will claim the throne of the Crow King, and all of the fallen angels will kneel before him.
Michael is a fairly intimidating figure to Joseph. Joseph respects him as an archangel, but is not comfortable with him because of his black feathers.
Elijah and Joseph have been good friends for quite a while. The two used to hang out often in Heaven before Elijah left to live on Earth.
Joseph has bronze skin and white hair. His black eyes don't usually reflect light, but they glow with circles of light when he uses holy magic. His wings are small and extend from his lower back. He wears a golden circlet on his head, as well as his multicolored coat over a white and gold angelic uniform. He is clean-shaven and wears Egyptian eyeliner.
