ABOUT
"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.
Fairlight is a very unusual character even if you get to know them. They are shown to be a upbeat and charismatic to the point they consistently attracts the affection (or interest) of Pokemon around her. His charisma is so strong that she is able to befriend those who may previously dislike her. The moment you challenge him is the moment the bloodthirsty side of her comes out in full force and scare even his partner. Though she is typically very friendly, she abstains from acting this way whenever she uses her perceptiveness to expose the flaws in one's battle style or they attempt to talk shit about him. While doing this, she may unabashedly condemn the other Pokémon and their ways, preferring honesty over politeness in such cases. Fairlight practically drools at the idea of taking risks. In fact, the thrill is so potent that their eyes glow in delight, and a low purr leaves his lips as the excitement grows. To win or lose doesn't matter to him. All he cares about is having a fun time and dragging others into their battle frenzy of insanity and bloodlust.
DESIGN
Design Notes
- Compared to most Sylveon, Fairlight is a lot fluffier than normal with most distinct seperations of parts of his eyes.
- His tail is more shaped like that of a fox with a more curved edge at the tip.
- His ribbon is a lot more sharper compared to the rounded shape a normal Sylveon has.
- He carries more elements of a fox in terms of his overall appearance.
BACKGROUND
THE STORY OF THE SLAYER
Becoming the Boss of the Union is no easy feat. It involve going though quite a bit of trials and tribulations as a means to even receive the opportunity to take the tests set up for those willing to take that position. There was also the fact that it often takes decades for a Boss of a Union to retire from the position so there is the chance the opportunity to take over would be by the time you retire from whatever profession you are. Fairlight was one of the lucky ones to receive the opportunity to take over the Union after the previous Boss [Heracross named Achilles] announced his retirement early.
The son of two Sylveon that well-versed in the slaying of various high-leveled ferals and Decorous (a term for non-feral), Fairlight was a well-known face in the hunting department of the Union. This Pokémon never hesitate to kill his target and will always do so with a bright smile on his face. Honestly, he had no intention to become the Boss of the Union until Achilles decided to challenge him. Fairlight is a sucker of challenges and did all he took to prove he had what it takes to take over. There was no bribery needed for him to ace what was thrown at him. All he needed was determination. It took a bit of convincing on Achilles' side to convince him to accept his new position. Sitting as the boss of the Union, Fairlight is enjoying his time, occasionally scaring the newbies through his looks alone.

- Hyper Voice: The user lets loose a horribly echoing shout with the power to inflict damage. (Learned from Exploud/Becomes Fairy due to ability)
- Mystical Fire: The user attacks by breathing a special, hot fire. This also lowers the target's Sp. Atk stat. (Learned from Gardevoir)
- Shadow Ball: The user attacks by hurling a shadowy blob at the target. This may also lower the target’s Sp. Def stat. (Learned from TM)
- Psychic: The target is hit with a strong telekinetic force to inflict damage. This may also lower the target’s Sp. Def stat. (Learned from Gardevoir)
- Calm Mind: The user quietly focuses its mind and calms its spirit to boost its Sp. Atk and Sp. Def stats. (Learned from Gardevoir)
- Hidden Power (Ground): A unique attack that varies in type depending on the Pokémon using it. (Learned from TM)
TRIVIA
- Fairlight first name is meant to be play off "fair fight" as Fairlight often prefers to have fair fights. His last name stem from Bahamut from the Final Fantasy series. This is a common theme that you would start to see with the other Union Heads.
- Fairlight's personality is based on that of Yumeko Jabami from Kakegurui. I always wanted to play around with having more characters akin to those from that series.
- In terms of chiefs of Union, Fairlight is actually one of my favorites due to their personality and design.
