ℹ️ Basic Info

  • Bluey DeLobb is a senior JPS agent who supports Jaycee, Cat Canada and Wayne. He lives with his two brothers Redward and Yelliot inside the dilapidated Jaycee Pawman Squad headquarters building in Sillycon Valley USA.
  • Bluey has been assigned to the Gene Beauregarde “candy poisoning” case, and is constantly trying to track Gene down to arrest him. Bluey has become obsessed with this criminal chocolatier and has a secret crush on Gene Beauregarde.
  • Due to severe social anxiety, Bluey is almost entirely mute and communicates in American Sign Language. He also writes extremely long texts and written messages instead of talking.
  • Bluey is an expert 3D modeler, and is often commissioned for hundreds of dollars. He also administrates a website dedicated to Gene Beauregarde and the fans who obsess over him.
  • Bluey and his two brothers Redward and Yelliot are of a strange, indeterminate species that they don’t even know. They all have strange, random abilities that are unknown to them. These abilities only trigger when it’s funny or inconvenient.

🎭 Personality

Bluey DeLobb is shy and has extreme social anxiety. He mostly prefers to be alone and is only comfortable around his brothers Redward and Yelliot, and close friends. Bluey is a great listener, and other find him relaxing to be around and will tell him secrets. As a whole, Bluey prefers to socialize online through messaging apps or forums.

He has a phobia of speaking around other people. Bluey is almost entirely mute, only ever speaking in extremely rare (or extremely funny) circumstances. He communicates in American Sign Language, and his brothers often interpret for him.

Bluey is intelligent and great at problem-solving. He is hyper-aware of his surroundings, and likes to watch others quietly from afar. He has good detective skills and notices subtle details in environments. He will often be the first to point out something that everyone else ignores.

Bluey is a talented 3D modeler, often creating detailed rigs of characters and objects in his spare time. He sells some models online, but receives the most money from private art commissions. He is secretive about his private commissions and is very protective over his computer and tablet.

Much to the annoyance of some, Bluey hyper-focuses on certain special interests, and will write pompous textwalls of his vast knowledge. He gets into internet arguments with others over 3D modeling, Gene Beauregarde’s candy and Hugh Forric’s movies.

🧬 Biology

Bluey DeLobb (and his brothers Redward and Yelliot) are of a strange species that nobody in the Tooniverse can identify - not even themselves. All three of them posses tails, “X”-shaped marks on their bellies, have no toes, and have 5 digits on each hand. They do not have sexual characteristics and do not need to wear clothes. Bluey and his brothers each have hidden abilities of their species that they may or may not know about. They only trigger in funny or dramatic situations. All 3 of them are stretchier and more durable than the average Tooniverse denizen.

Unlike his brothers, Bluey does not have legs. His feet are attached directly to his torso. He waddles when walking and is very clumsy. Bluey’s arms are thin and weak. Two thick, black stalks of hair protrude from his head. They move when Bluey is expressing emotion and are very sensitive to touch. Bluey is nearsighted and never removes his glasses, not even when he’s sleeping.

Bluey does not talk due to psychological reasons, but there is nothing physically wrong with his voice box. For those lucky enough to hear it, Bluey’s voice is described as very deep, intimidating, and sexy (for example, similar to James Earl Jones’ voice).

🔍 History

Bluey DeLobb is the youngest brother of Redward and Yelliot. The three of them were adopted and have no idea who or where they came from. The DeLobb brothers lovingly support each other, but their different personalities can cause arguments and drama between them. Their teamwork impressed Ella Pawman and she employed all three as agents.

Dr. Hans Sans Panzer was fascinated with the brothers’ strange biology and enhanced durability and would get them to test dangerous experiments. Bluey questioned Dr. HSP the most, and was bullied by the doctor in return. Throughout Bluey’s employment as an agent, Dr. Panzer called him “Ella’s autistic diversity hire” while Bluey was too shy and afraid to tell anyone about these insults.

Bluey and his brothers worked on Dr. Hans Sans Panzer’s ill-fated “Deus Ex Machina” machine and kept it a secret from Ella. Once the project caused the deadly “Sillycon Valley Incident”, the DeLobb brothers expressed extreme guilt over their involvement. They chose to keep it a secret and live in the decaying headquarters building, keeping watch over the reality-breaking effects of Dr. Panzer’s volatile experiment. They do odd jobs that barely keep the lights on, but are hopeful that Jaycee Pawman can get the organization to rise from the ashes.

Many years ago when Bluey was a Junior Agent, he was assigned to research the whereabouts of runaway criminal Gene Beauregarde. Bluey became absolutely fascinated with Gene and his infamous “tainted candy” incident, even creating a rare and precious Idea Bulb after watching an archived news broadcast about Gene. Bluey almost exclusively works on the Gene Beauregarde case for years, filling his office with notes, photos, and news articles about Gene. Bluey also collects vintage “Beauregarde Candy Corporation” promotional materials, boxed candy, posters and toys and displays them in his office. He tracks sightings of Gene’s Candy Kobolds, and has 7 of their candy “soul-hearts” on display in glass jars. Bluey was extremely jealous of Madison Waltz’s and Grey Faux's encounter with Gene Beauregarde’s blueberry candy, and would constantly send them e-mails with questions - all were ignored.

Bluey administrates “ExpansionMansion.toon” - a website dedicated to Gene Beauregarde and his cult following of fans. He posts with the username “Bubble_Blob” and is infamous for being a smug, fussy forum moderator. He often bans and suspends users for small infractions, and posts novel-length messages dozens of times a day. Gene Beauregarde is aware of Bluey’s activity on EMT and uses the message board to meddle with his ongoing investigation.

Bluey has a complicated relationship with billionaire software developer Cain. They were once great friends and former roommates in university, but now they mostly argue over the EMT website and Gene Beauregarde facts.

😎 Extra Cool Facts

The "X" on Bluey's belly is a flat marking and not an "outie" bellybutton.

Bluey DeLobb is one of my oldest characters. He was created when I saw him in a dream in childhood.
