A real go-getter of an orphan, if that’s a thing you can be, Cagnaz grew up a classical street rat. He was taken in by the Malbranche, specifically Barbariccia, after a particularly impressive stunt of attempted thievery.

Close in age to Graff, he ended up a senior amongst the younger crop of the Malbranche. Generally abrasive and closed off due to past trauma, they ended up never really getting along with anyone in the group, especially with the half decade age gap present for most of them. Barbariccia was sure he would fit in in due time, though.

Nine years ago, at this point, he and Barbariccia were found dead. With the nature of the family, an investigation of any kind was hampered greatly, and so no perpetrator was ever found. No fingers have been pointed either.
