The most recent ex-kingpin of the Malbranche, even as leader he still thought of himself as an Underboss to Aeneas. Not even 10 years dead, Barbariccia was a surprisingly gentle soul for someone of his profession. Much like Aeneas, he too came from a lineage of big-time criminals going all the way back to the founding of this country… Which isn’t all that far, really. It is called New Orphidian, after all.

By all accounts, a decent leader, he handled the downsizing of the Malbranche with grace. Handing the casino, The Palace, over to the Palsgrave, their trusted allies. He was always wary of partnering too closely with Roslariot, however.

Both he, and his adoptive son, Cagnazzo, were found mysteriously dead on the same night. Though, all that was ever found was that there was a struggle. No perpetrator was ever caught. With their passing, control of the Malbranche went to Virgil, Aeneas’ son, only 20 years old.
