Caliban

A paladin of vengeance who awoke on the beach with no memories of his past, only vague memories of blood and death. He hates the dark compulsions that tempt him, and actively pushes against them by praying every night and reaffirming his vows at any opportunity. 

That said... he has slipped a few times. He will never be able to repent enough for what he's done, but he will try.
