Persephone

Everyone’s first impression of Persephone is that she’s the mom friend. She’s got a nice smile and a small bag of everything everyone needs - well, at least what her friends and family need. Persephone is not the sort of woman who gives herself to the people she doesn’t know or care about that much. She’s very hard with her boundaries - people have taken advantage of her because of her kindness and she’s not fond of that at all.

Persephone is a woman of grace and elegance. She takes significant care of the way she looks and has a very particular grooming routine that takes a really long time. It’s totally worth it though - she’s incredibly beautiful. Her beauty is very important to her, except when it causes her pain. She doesn’t like pain too terribly much.

Persephone is a surprisingly jealous person. It’s a bad habit she’s been trying to curb for ages. Her jealousy is especially prominent when it comes to the people she loves. Although Persephone has been trying her best to share, she still feels envious when other people get to spend time with those she loves.

However, Persephone has a hard time expressing her emotions. She always ends up bottling them up until they explode. It’s not healthy for her to do so, but she hasn’t bothered trying to stop it. She’s never figured it to be worth it, even with the emotional fallout from some of her explosions.

Persephone is the kind of person who needs to be around others a lot of the time. She’s a total social butterfly who loves to get to know people and make a lot of friends, and then spends a lot of time around them to feel fulfilled. She loves people and loves embracing all the wonderful types of people all around her.

Persephone was born to a quiet, fairly well off family who lived in the outlands in a nice quiet cottage. Her parents remained really quiet and out of the way for a long time, investing most of their energy into keeping a quiet life and protecting their two children from the wild beasts outside.

This was not the life Persephone had in mind. She’d always dreamed of moving to the city and becoming famous in some way. Maybe she would be some kind of sports player, but she wasn’t sure what yet.

Nevertheless, when her childhood friend Anastasia transitioned and moved out of the house, she followed suit. Once in the city, Persephone began looking for something she could do. None of the sports really interested her and she never really fit in.

And then she discovered dancing. It was a bit of an accident really - she’d been wandering around the city, looking for something to do, and ended up in the community center where a beginner’s dance class was taking place. She was fascinated, and ended up taking the class herself. Eventually, she got really good and found a new dance troupe that needed members. Persephone fit right in.

So, she made a name for herself as a dancer. This eventually led to her performing in the Ruby Slipper, Anastasia’s theatre. Although Taz was in a relationship with Lumiere at the time, Persephone desparately wanted Taz to be in love with her. It sparked a bit of a rivalry with Lumiere until they finally talked to her about it. She, Taz, and Lumiere fell in love and became a proper relationship.
