Delilah

Delilah is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet, almost literally. She’s an optimist to the max and always sees the good in people over the bad. She’s kind, friendly, and wants only the best for people. If she sees someone in trouble on the street, Delilah is the kind of person who will go out of her way to help them. It’s in her nature, after all.

Delilah is not naive. She’s fully aware of how much people suck - working in a coffee shop with her dad means she’s seen the worst in people. It’s ridiculous how much people through a fuss when it comes to their food. Delilah’s learned how to laugh at people who are being utterly ridiculous and knows exactly how to tell them off.

The sweetest people are often the most vindictive. If you hurt Delilah’s friends, she knows how to get back at people in ways that hurt them the most. She’s incredibly patient, so you might not get hurt immediately. No, she takes her time to get to know you more intimately than you realize before she strikes.

One of the best parts of Delilah is how observant she is. She recognizes subtle changes in people and is able to react accordingly. Even if you don’t emote all that much, if you give her enough time she can figure you out pretty well. Her helpful nature means that she’s always on her toes and knows what you want almost before you want it.

Delilah is very protective of her own. Admittedly, her definition of “her own” extends to the vast majority of people and not just those she is close to. She is filled with love for people and it spills out in all sorts of magnificent ways. She can and will protest to protect the people. It’s her duty.

Delilah’s parents were very young when she was born, only about 20 and 21. That means she’s been privy to all of her parents struggles her entire life. She remembers the time before Marilyn settled down in a job, before Argus even thought of his coffee shop, and even a fuzzy little bit before her parents transitioned. She learned how to observe people by observing her parents through the years after all.

After obtaining all the necessary permits, Delilah started working with her dad in his coffee shop at age 15. She was exposed to people’s sheer idiocy and developed a very tough skin. Frankly, this job is where she learned all her people skills.

Delilah also discovered her love of baking while working for her dad. She was in charge of getting all the bakery sweets ready every day, and she discovered how peaceful baking was. This turned into a lifelong passion.

As soon as Delilah was an adult, her parents helped her start her own bakery. It’s very new, and she has a lot of work to do. However, she loves it. People have complimented her baking skills, and she is very happy with where they are. Obviously there’s still room for improvement, but she’s good enough that people come to her! It’s wonderful.
