Marilyn

Despite what people think, Marilyn isn’t a soft ball of fluff. Sure, she can seem rather nice from a distance, and her fluffy fur puffs don’t help. However, Marilyn is actually an incredibly ruthless woman. She’s cutthroat and doesn’t care if she throws others under the bus. Plus she’s got these absolutely savage one-liners at all times.

Marilyn is also incredibly organized. She’s the kind of woman who has a planner filled out for the next two weeks but can change it in an instant if something comes up. Marilyn also knows where almost everything is, and gets incredibly distressed if she loses something. Cue a session of over organizing in ten… nine… eight…

When it comes to emotions, Marilyn tends to be incredibly guarded. She has a mask of neutrality at almost all times. She feels uncomfortable if people know how she truly feels. There are a few exceptions, however - Marilyn is okay with expressing herself around her close family. Other than that, no one knows her true emotional state.

Most people don’t get to go into Marilyn’s house. However, if they did, they would discover that she is a collector of all sorts of cute and fluffy items. Everything has a place and stays in place. She’s obsessed with these fluffy things and absolutely has a few of them on her desk, professionalism be damned! They’re her guilty pleasure.

Overall, Marilyn likes to prioritize efficiency over people. She’s always looking for the most efficient way to do something, and her brain is always on overdrive. Marilyn is absolutely the kind of person you go to when you have a non-people problem to solve. She may not always be nice, but she does make sure the job gets done.

While Marilyn and Anastasia were both born and raised by the same parents at the same time, it took Marilyn a whole lot longer to figure out what she wanted from life. She put up with their parents government training longer, took forever to figure out she was a woman, and had no idea what she was doing with her life.

And somehow, Marilyn ended up getting married at the tender age of 20, to Argus (although neither of them hadn’t figured out they were trans yet). She was in and out of jobs for the next few years, especially as her and Argus had a surprise baby.

Eventually, Marilyn ended up as Celeste’s secretary. She wasn’t quite sure how she got the job, considering she didn’t feel qualified, but Marilyn landed it anyways. To her shock, she actually caught on really quickly.

Not only did Marilyn fit the role well, but Celeste loved her. Marilyn’s ruthlessness and organization messed particularly well with Celeste’s very particular style of business. As Marilyn kept working for Celeste, Celeste kept giving her raises to tempt her into staying. Marilyn was perfectly fine with that - holy cow was Celeste giving her a lot of money, plus she didn’t really have actual career plans.

Things may seem stagnant in Marilyn’s life, but that’s only because she’s found a comfortable rhythm, an organization to her days that she loves. It’s absolutely perfect.
