One of the six close friends that often spend time together during their leisure time. Jackie was only middle schooler when she had first met Emery in his campus. As his tutor to help him get back to his feet in an academic standpoint, she connected with Jackie quite well. She was almost a mentor to him and had guided him to a newfound life with her and her friends, after watching him struggle with various personal issues such as his relationship with his old friends and his family.
One of the six friends that Emery spends time with on an almost daily basis. Motto was an elementary friend with Emery and Gret before he would move out of state. However after the divorce of his parents he tagged along with his father to move back in California in their summer home, thus reconnecting with Emery and Gret once again aside with new people that he eventually got along with soon after.
He is part of Emery's little group of friends. Lin is a mysterious figure who came as a new student with his partner Nio. Emery introduced herself to him and wanted to acquaint herself as friends, but eventually discovered Lin's mysterious background. Emery was rather trustworthy in keeping their underworld lives hidden from the public and Lin stuck by her to make sure she doesn't do so.
Since then Lin has connected with her as a friend as well as the others. Although his lax personality refrains him from spending too much time with the others, he values her and the rest as a family away from the syndicate life he was raised in.
Nio is the most rambunctious friend out of the six. He's Lin partner that entered the highschool with him and together hold a background that they both have to hide from the public. However, Emery eventually finds out and Nio is hellbent on making sure that Espada keeps her mouth shut.
Eventually Nio softens up once he finds Emery trustworthy as a newfound friend. '
Nio is very concerned for his friends and is often protective. Especially for Emery and her small stature, he feels compelled to be the first one to stand if anything threatens her.
Luka sees Emery as her savior and almost like a dependable older sister. Since she was abandoned and found, she finds Emery as her only source of comfort and safety before she was introduced to her adoptive father, Maximille. Otherwise Luka has been indebt to Emery and would follow her to no end.
After being kidnapped and stranded, she thought she was done for until the help from Hans came along. Although sometimes clueless, Hans is rather empathetic to those around him regardless of his social title how much money he holds. He aids Emery's poor situation and takes her back home with ease. Emery only regards Johannes as a greatly respectable man afterwards, and simply wants to help Hans with his one-sided love for Hyde.
Maximille was definitely the first to doubt Emery's abilities, although a lot of it rings true. Yet even with the strictness, whatever Emery had gone through psychologically had changed Maximille's behavior around Emery and spares her his lectures.
But he considers young Espada as important to the group for whatever reasons, and is often the one teaching her everything about the Prodigal and most likely other things such as tailoring. Now he takes Emery as his assistant in his Bespoke Tailoring shop.
