Everyone thinks they’re the master of their life, but for Zye he knows he’s nobody in the long run. Merely a pawn that’ll get kicked from the board early in. He just doesn’t know how much of a pawn he really is until it’s too late and he’s done— and begun anew. When everything is locked up or stripped away, there’s only a promise left. That and a desire to live— to not let someone else win even if they’ve made the first move.
Starting over is hard for most people. The entire concept dares to uproot everything they know and turn it on its head. But it doesn’t matter because at the end of the day they’ll be laboring through this new life together. Surely it’ll be a welcomed burden considering all they’ve been through. For once they’ll have something normal.
