in a small midwestern city in 201X, a pair of socially troubled twins discover a decades-old amnesiac robot, kicking off a chain of events involving high school drama on an exaggerated scale, a strange woman living underground with her feral daughter, and the arrival of their long lost space outlaw inventor parents, once condemned to a strange goopy dimension for 16 years but back again to seek vengeance, and figure out how to overcome their parenting anxieties too, hopefully.

a sci-fi family slash coming of age dramedy that borrows from cartoons and anime of the 2010s and earlier. the kids and adults deal with their own problems until both are dragged into much bigger alien problems (think stranger things, gravity falls, steven universe) envisioned as an animated series with 5 seasons
