President of the Aspenview Academy Photography Club, an aspiring photographer & fashion designer. She's close friends with Cameron and their clubs often collaborate; she shares a curiosity with him that aids her in working with the journalistic format, though her personal work tends to be much artsier.

Her snoopiness and excitement tend to lead her to go a little too far for just the right shot, engaging in dangerous and borderline illegal things like trespassing in dangerous areas and even sneaking into the Kawasaras' house at dark, though she'll tell you it was Cam's idea. The story the two published after this incident provoked much of the skepticism in the town surrounding Takashi and Nozomi, though they aren't nearly as opposed to them as some other members of the student body are. While Cameron follows the couple closely as a passionate believer in aliens, Mira considers herself more of a skeptic. She lets him ramble to her, but as much as he tries to convince her she never really believes him, pointing out recurring issues with photo quality in particular. (Her later experiences with Takashi and Nozomi change her views on this.)

Excitable, talkative, and very passionate about her work, to a point where it can be overwhelming for some, but she's got good intentions. Her communication skills plus an emphasis on creativity and collaboration make her a rightful and beloved leader of the photography club.

Appearance

Tall (about 6 ft 0) and skinny, dark brown skin, round nose, and long eyelashes. Her eyes are orange and she wears round orange-tinted glasses. Has kinky dark brown hair that she usually wears in two large poofy twin buns, though she occasionally wears it in braids.

Always carries a camera with her, and often a shoulder bag. When not in her school uniform she wears clothes in funky patterns with similarly bright accessories. 

Visibly cheerful most of the time. Fidgets frequently and flaps her hands when excited.
