What characters are you working on right now?

I'd love a space where I could talk with others about the characters we're working on as we work on them. So, here's this topic! It should be fun to bounce ideas off each other before things are set in stone. (You could also discuss setting details, probably.)

Right now, I'm playing around with Selda and the other characters in her story/world (they're not uploaded yet, but I'll try and stamp out the details on them soon). The tricky part is figuring out where/how to include and explain the more obscure elements of her setting (WTF is a Leyaloid or a Cross-Ley? uhhhh you might wanna sit down, we could be here for a while if you want all the details). Getting her personality down is also kind of tricky, because I'm not sure how best to describe her. I think I got her right in the blurb, but watch as I RP her and she goes on to act completely different...

Had this guy in developement for a while, and I just recently were able to put a visual on his character, designing his appearance.

I'm so stoked to see that people like him as much as I do, and he pretty much blew up once I posted his design. This has given me motivation to work on his profile, but I'm bummed at the summary part ;w; I seem to always get stuck there as I never know what to write or how to structure any sort of backstory or how to build one.. sigh

Anyone have any tips to how to get better at writing summaries?

I'm still working on my beloved Hippolyte. But there is so much to write (and so much to translate) that it is quite hard to stay motivated for it.... But I want him to have a nice profile !

vinny damn she looks so pretty *A* I have been working on backstory stuff for my own ffxiv character. I need to start commissioning some art of him now that he's level 60 and I am actually finding cool armors I like to glamour for him, lol.

@Szaila Summeries are so hard. D: D: I used to be good and quick at them, and now I'm ... not so much. Personally, I always try to add in random mundane details because I feel like it makes characters more relatable. (I just love purposeless details about other people's characters -- I hope I'm not alone in this.) I really like your profile for Albion, btw.

....and you're right, summaries are really difficult. They always end up too long.

Seiden They're a couple! Both coming from rough family situations and just kind of trying to pick their lives back up. They're part of my "Monster City" setting which is just what it says on the tin, a city of monsters!
