I just got Alexandra and I've been working on coming up with a good personality for her. Some of the art she came with makes her seem kind of angsty but I am thinking of a more collected, mature anthro leopardess.
I'd love a space where I could talk with others about the characters we're working on as we work on them. So, here's this topic! It should be fun to bounce ideas off each other before things are set in stone. (You could also discuss setting details, probably.)
Right now, I'm playing around with Selda and the other characters in her story/world (they're not uploaded yet, but I'll try and stamp out the details on them soon). The tricky part is figuring out where/how to include and explain the more obscure elements of her setting (WTF is a Leyaloid or a Cross-Ley? uhhhh you might wanna sit down, we could be here for a while if you want all the details). Getting her personality down is also kind of tricky, because I'm not sure how best to describe her. I think I got her right in the blurb, but watch as I RP her and she goes on to act completely different...

He'll be the main supporting character in a story that I'm working on, and I want him to go through as much character development as the main boi does...
I know I want him to be kind of an awful person? Like he catfishes the main character out of a large sum of money, says sorry (but not really). Eventually he uses the main boi as bait so he can kill a robot... then uhhhh boom friendship. (there's stuff in between I s w e a r)

I'm excited to see people's new ideas! I kind of fell asleep on mine/need to reorganize them and post later when I'm not mired in work.
I'm working on my main persona. His name is Mikaela and he's a singer. He's a bit of a tortured soul and I'm trying to portray his mental illness and connect it with the rest of his personality- it's not an easy fit to do! There's going to be a ton of triggering subjects so it will not be a happy history. I think he's beautiful and I really love his design. I'm currently working on his backstory and trying to tie all my ideas together.
I'm also working on an OC I designed a long long time ago- her name is Quinn and I gave her a complete re-design and I think she looks wonderful! All I know is that she's a lesbian with a bold attitude.
I also have to work on more informarion for my original species so people don't mistake it for a Steven Universe OC. They're based on gemstones and inspired by the show but I like to believe that the way they work and are created are different.
I'm working on troll characters. They are kinda John Bauer like. I was thinking there's three of them. Two are men and they are middle ages. One is a seasoned warrior, the other a shaman. Then the shaman has a daughter and she is also a warrior. She was taught by the other warrior. The older warrior is a bit grumpy, and not very sociable. The shaman has a chaotic look about him, and he's kinda caught up in his magic, but otherwise he's mostly friendly looking. The girl is also friendly but also a bit mischievous, and very loyal to the others. And she has cute short hair. I'm very fond of her design.
I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with them. Maybe I'll make a comic about them, and abandon the comic I'm doing right now. Or maybe I'll abandon them. I'll see... :)
I'm working on some eldritch beast lady called 'THE MOTHER'. She's simply grotesque, with an enormous long and roley poley neck, with multiple mouths and two creepy large eyes on the side of her head. but i refuse to post her until I know she's ready. She's a character I've had floating around my mind for a while but it's gonna take a bit more chipping away at her until she's finally fully realized, I know this for a fact.
My troll characters are approved by my family members, and I'm starting to like the idea of making a comic about them more and more. They seem like the types of characters I like working with, and a story with trolls as main characters would allow for the chaotic kind of drawing style I enjoy.
The comic I'm making now has some disadvantages. I created the world and most of the characters about twenty years ago, there are too many characters and the story seems to be going nowhere. When I started working on it, two years ago, it seemed perfect because I didn't want to develop a whole new world and new characters. I just wanted to draw a comic because working on a story would motivate me to keep drawing. But now I look forward to create new things. So yeah!
I'm working on my OCs Asher and Damien right now. I'm trying to complete their profiles before moving onto others haha
I'm slowly working on getting my references together for Aeldyr, but outfit design is so hard lol! The ideas are coming together though, bit by bit. Once I'm done with him/when I get frustrated with working on his stuff, I'm going to do some work putting together a profile and more refs for my nasty undead dog man Saijou.
