jokes you made canon?

i saw this thread and knew i had to post because mimizu's entire existence is founded on jokes

basically, if im remembering this correctly, another one of my ocs (tomomi) had a pet glowworm that they'd named wormy that they found in a RP at some point... anyways wormy was loved by all, and it was sad b/c at the end of the RP tomomi lost wormy :(

while i was mourning the loss of my oc's pet worm, at some point i was joking around with some people i thought to myself "why dont i make an oc based off of wormy to celebrate him" and i thought to myself no, that was a dumb idea, but then i... i ended up making him into an oc and getting really attached oh no

anyways, that was the birth of mimizu (which means earthworm in japanese) hoshino, he's also got this whole evil mastermind thing going on but explaining that is like opening a can of worms (ba dum tiss), so i'll just leave it there b/c this post turned out long oghggh

My second name is bad jokes made real I mean the entire existence of Sinfonia and its characters is because I took a joke too far 

With Jonathan there is this Norwegian children book called When the Robbers Came to Cardamom Tow and the three robbers are called Casper, Jesper and Jonathan. It's pretty known in Finland and so my friend jokingly told me he is going to be mad at me if Jonathan doesn't have friends called Casper and Jesper so I just.... decided to do that. They're real now and Jonathan's best friends from his home town lmao. 

dunno if these would count but, Caviar here started off as a random character I made in Tomodachi life and I gave said character a silver tinsil looking dress and surprisingly this male avatar liked it XD I wasn't expecting it to happen so I found that amusing~ I grew too attached to him and eventually made him into an oc x'D 

also Poyo here was created in a group chat with friends years ago but somehow he stuck with me ^^

Francis struggling with seasickness wasn't supposed to become canon. Especially as Francis's whole origin was me playing with the trait on a character in an ironic way to make myself feel better when seasickness tablets didn't work on a particularly rough trip I was crew on (which was rather embarrassingly a sea burial). 

Once I decided Francis was going to be an OC I was going to try and take him seriously but the suffering with seasickness trait stuck, I did tried to write it out a few times but it always ends up working it's way back into his profile so I gave up and left it in. :'D

well my bf and i had two fantrolls that were the same citrine blood colour, were both nerds, and both wore the same kind of glasses so we shipped them as a joke

now they've been canonically a couple for three years

          Sidor's disastrous cooking skill stemmed from the news about the actual Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier traveling near the English Channel and spewing ungodly thick smoke. In my plot, this deployment to Syria doesn't exist but I just let my imagine run amok of what Kuznetsov had to say about this incident. As it turned out, the black smoke was a result of Sidor decided to make a lunch of spaghetti carbonara that was burnt beyond recognition. (I mean, he tried to cook carbonara but it ended up looking like the ink source spaghetti - so no wonder he produced such embarrassing black smoke)

          After that, I made it canon a few month later. Now Sidor is practically prohibited from entering kitchen whether in the base or on the floating platform serves as the HQ of the carrier team during oversea missions.

So a long while back, when I was a wee lass and this character had been first created, I wanted to be weird and add some quirk to my character- sort of as a joke, sort of not. 

but now its most certainly a joke, as the character has had a lot of revamping over the years, BUT I REFUSE TO LET THIS QUIRK GO.

He can turn his eyes around like a Chameleon! lol

Yep. She's a ninja cause of chicken wings. I mean she liked what she heard and saw in the canon reason behind it, but does use those skills for chicken wing grabbing to this day. And to surprise a cute rabbit to hug him~
