she's an immortal, and as she aged all of her childhood friends grew up, got old, and eventually died. she is most saddened by the ephemerality of human life, and sometimes feels like her blessing is more of a curse.

As the thread title goes, please tell me about the saddest things that have happened to your OCs. Can be that they lost a loved one and only found out years after their death, or they have lived in a giant lie. Or maybe the OCs sibling sold the OCs entire Tamagotchi collection. Whatever. Maybe it's something sad in general, maybe something sad for the OC personally.

Ally lost her mother, her mate, and four of her five kittens to the same deadly illness. Then she later died of it herself.
Glade is bullied every day for being a pacifist in a combat-loving society. He doesn't let it ruin his life, though.
Eldritch has a curse that causes him to gradually lose his memories as he progresses through life. Every experience he has will eventually be forgotten, and he knows this. Sometimes it nearly drives him insane.
Naraka was once a famed and respected military general before a serious battle injury caused him to be sent home. He ended up becoming an alcoholic and was never able to return to his former position in the army.
Lucifer's own older brother, who he looked up to and loved a great deal, tried to kill him.
Spike has no memory of his life before he became a ghost.
William was executed at the age of 17 after overhearing something he wasn't supposed to know about.
Tiger-tail's mate was killed.
Pazzia's wife, the only person he ever truly connected with, died in a freak accident.
there's a lot of sad things that happened to chris that are p important to his backstory. mainly:
- he developed chronic depression and anxiety at around 14/15 and has had them both for more than 10 years.
- he's self-harmed since then but he's been clean for about a year or so
- he attempted suicide when he was 17. if it weren't for his brother, he would have died.
- chris had an abusive ex-girlfriend during his early college days. he mainly started a relationship w/ her to hide his sexuality and it backfired
eventually he begins recovering from everything around when he moves to chicago. it gets better from there :^)
When Nikolai served in the army during WWII he searched everywhere for the person he followed in, someone he was in love with. Eventually he found him only to see him die by a plane flying overhead. He ran over and held him and tried to listen to what he was saying, but there was too much blood in his throat for him to speak, and he shortly died.
It caused him to build up the emptiness needed to take in Sloth's soul.
His dad died ;o; Casa was suuuuper close with his dad so his passing devastated him to no end ;; poor bby
Exlex's mother sent him to a nearby pack to keep him safe, because she knew her former mate (Exlex's father) was going to come to bring him to a certain death. Exlex was just a tiny baby boy at this point, so he was completely unaware that that would be the last time he would see his mother. He's still too young to know, and since his current caretaker isn't willing to put up with a tiny kid sobbing over his death mother 7 months after she died.... he likely won't be told anytime soon. When he's told of his mother's fate... well... I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.
My world of Warcraft dragon so bear with me on some lore stuff.
Doloron is a black dragon and like most, fell under the corruption of the old gods. During this his father Nefarian experimented on dragon whelp to create a chromatic flight. .
Doloron helped his father kidnap whelps and even experimented on his own children, none survived.
Skipping over stuff for long story short (full story on his bio) but he's uncorrupted now and is fully aware of every evil and cruel thing he did and it honestly haunts him.

As Rose is a human-turned-vampire who physically can't age past the point of being bitten, he's considered something of an anomaly as pureblood vampires don't get stuck like he did, and not even everyone who has been bitten has to suffer from that kind of fate. Furthermore, it's illegal to turn children into vampires precisely because of the grief a non-ageing body (and sometimes even mind) can bring upon, and Rose is one of these pitiful, sad cases.
Because he knew he wouldn't age and felt lonely and out of place among all the adult vampires, Rose wanted to turn his classmate into a vampire. He knew it was selfish and wrong of him but he was just so tired of being alone all the time, and so he lured his best friend into the woods, bit him and drank him dry with the expectation he'll awaken later as a vampire.
Little did poor Rose know that turned vampires can't turn others, and so he just straight up killed his best friend instead :')
Death mention-
Lucy was experimented on and given a terrible power. She can't have eye contact with anything that's alive because if she manages to touch anything, she can kill them. She found this the hard way when she found her best friend after the experimenting, hugged him and he died in her hands. She didn't want to risk this again so she mostly wears her blindfold when she knows she's going to be around people or animals.
She finds out her friend Ace is actually a familiar and can basically be reformed but sadly when he does, he can't remember anything about Lucy or his past life. This saddens Lucy more.
Mackie was turned immortal with an unchanging body as a child, but his mind has grown with his age
that's the saddest story of all I believe
Well, obviously I need to post here too. Possible cw/tw for death ment and description of car accidents
- Paralyzed from the waist down after she was involved in a car accident
- Friend was driving her and another friend home. On the highway, the cars axis broke and the car drove into oncoming traffic. The car hit the front wheel of a motorbike, motorbike driver lost control and fell off, he didn't suffer any major injuries, because he was properly dressed (had a few bruises and some cuts. Got really lucky). The car hit a guardrail with high speed, Eleleonora and the driver got flung out of the vehicle. The driver somewhat savely landed on the grass, but he still suffered a broken arm. Ellie didn't get so lucky. Not only did she get flung out a bit farther, she also landed on her back, which injured part of her spinal cord, more specifically, the thoracic nerves. She slso landed in a bush full of thorns, but she actually didn't feel a lot of pain from them - most likely thanks to the adrenalin.
- It took 30mins until emergency vehicles arrived, mainly because the highway they took was far from a city.
- Ellie doesn't recall a lot about the accident. When she was in hospital and was fully awake she got told that the car axis broke, most likely due to the friends failure to get the car checked out. Her seatbelt also malfunctioned (which was also the case for the driver) and she wasn't properly secured
- Her dad only was able to visit her for a brief amount of time, as he had to go to a military operation (to which he did not want to say no, and couldn't because he was crucial for it). Her mother visited her sometimes, but it stopped at some point
- During recovery, she was often alone. Occasionally, she shared her room with short staying patients
- She did "stay in school", she just learned during her stay. Students in her class were actually quite pissed that she didn't had to take any tests or exams. (Wow. Just. WOW.)
- She was ready to be released seven months after being admitted (around summer she was released). Well...uh...turns out her mother was also in the same hospital. Her mom has been there for about five months. She had terminal lung cancer. She stopped visiting her when she got too weak to walk.
- Also, her dad pretty much begged the docs for not telling Ellie that her mom is in the hospital. Would have worried her too much. (It worked, mainly because terminally ill patients are in a special corridor where only friends and family and nurses/docs/hospital staff can enter. The names are not publically noted somewhere, so Ellie never knew that her mom was there. Besides, she rarely left her room anyway)
- Her mom also did not tell her as she feared it would severely stress Ellie out.
- Before she left the hospital, she vidited her moms room. There, her mom told her to "go take out your phone. We'll do a few silly videos and photos so you always have something that reminds you of me."

tws for car accidents, drunk driving, implieeeeeed? abusive relastionship
when kibi was 16, her boyfriend at the time was pretty awful in general, but he had stolen his parent's alchohol and was like 'im not that drunk i can still drive you home', which ended about as badly as one would expect. he actually just like, jumped out of the car and onto the pavement and kibi was unable to get out or stop the car, and the crash left her lower legs completely paralyzed. her boyfriend tried to blackmail her into not exposing the fact that he drank while underage and caused the crash, but kibi was like 'no fuck you i'll do what's right blackmail can't be that bad'. it was bad and kibi went from just being pulled out of school to moving to a different area .
probably what kept her afloat was her parent's overwhelming support .
I don't know how to say this, but Ilma dies so much that it isn't sad anymore, the first time she died in an RP was thanks to a speeding truck, she's had a lot happen to her.
