Show me your miserable characters

• Gabriel is not doing well at all. He lost his girlfriend, unborn child, and left leg in a tragic car accident, and now he just doesn't want to live, but he feels like he has to, so he's trying. Sad, tired, can't sleep, self-neglectful, self-destructive.
• Haggis has been through a lot and though things are, in a way, better for him now, life never gets easier. He's always on edge, always anxious and combative and unable to relax or let himself enjoy things. And now his band is entering a TV competition, so that's going to go great with his anxiety and panic attacks.
• Kjell's wife divorced him and took the kid, and he misses his daughter so much, but his ex-wife has poisoned the girl against him. He hopes his daughter comes around when she's older, but right now he's sad and lonely, isolating himself from the world.
• Zamir is just a mess, adrift in the world. His parents are not supportive, to say the least, of his life choices and now he's desperately trying to figure out what to do. He's sickly and nervous and always finds himself in trouble, and he just wants to find solid footing.
• Yusef's band was a one-hit-wonder for a song they hated-- and the predatory record deal they signed in their youth means they can't even enjoy the profits. He's a TV band competition judge at the moment, but he's bitter and jealous, with no desire to help anyone succeed.
• Ira's dealing with some serious mental health stuff and he hates how his medication makes him feel, so he often stops taking it, which doesn't help at all. He needs some stability in his life.
• Amber puts on a brave face, but she's struggling with some things, and determined to keep it all to herself. She probably shouldn't.
• Bane has gone through an awful lot... and at this point, he's homeless, disowned, unemployable, and struggling with his personal demons. He eagerly grasps at the first shot he gets at possible redemption, but he's constantly haunted by fears: that his new friends will find out what he really is, that he'll return to his old ways, that he'll hurt the people around him.
• Astro's just a sad kid. He's had to do things he doesn't want to do to get by and to provide for the people he cares about, and he feels conflicted and lost.

I've yet to actually add his backstory, but short and sweet his king had his heart ripped out so he could monch it and gain his superpowers :^)
