Your OCs'...handwriting

Posted 5 years, 1 month ago by Kogami

I remembered when I used to collect handwriting fonts just to assign each one of them like "oh this would totally be his handwriting"...so heya....

Tell us about your OCs' handwriting, whether its messy or nice, they're so skilled to even do calligraphy or cursive, or they're good in one language/set of alphabet but completely bad at another (we all been there, no??)..... Alternatively you can also compare to a font or handwrite it yourself :>

(As usual you can post as many time as you want as long as it doesn't clog the thread, or compile them in one post)

Heto hedgemaze

Heto's handwriting and spelling are absolutely atrocious. School could never really hold him, and he dropped out and skipped town as soon as he could, so he's a very clever kid without most of the niceties that school instills.

Vera hedgemaze

By contrast, Vera has the best handwriting of my cast, that great old Catholic school cursive, long spindly loops! She's the sort of person who writes everything in script, letters and recipe cards and to-do lists alike.

Aarix

Ryn's handwriting is, predictably, atrocious. It's inconsistent and jagged, and you can see every bit of his rage in it. It's also absolutely massive, and he needs to double-space on regular lined paper for things to still be even remotely legible. He presses down way too hard with his pens & will tire out his hands quickly if he's writing anything lengthy (which let's be real he totally would never do). It's printed, not cursive, but he's always rushing to get it done so his letters often merge with each other anyway.

Blair's writing is a little clumsy and has a very laborious, non-fluent look to it. It's not messy, just painstaking.... unless his hands are shaking too much, which they often are-- in which case his writing becomes really spidery. He has a lot of trouble writing straight on paper that's not lined. He couldn't write in cursive even if he tried. He has to think a lot about how to actually write, so the whole process is very slow.

Xaanik can perfectly replicate any font in any script, provided he's given the appropriate writing apparatus-- beautiful caligraphy, mechanical-looking serifed typefaces, comic sans...... anything. His handwriting is literally flawless-- perfectly spaced, perfectly aligned, perfectly formed. By default, he writes in very neat, loopy cursive. His writing speed is also staggeringly fast, to the point it's creepy to watch. He can also forge other people's handwriting and signatures just about perfectly.

Zara's handwriting is really... cute? I can't think of any other way to describe it. It's printed, really bubbly and round while still being pretty neat. Just imagine the most girly handwriting ever and that's it. This vibe is further enhanced by the fact she just... really likes glitter gel pens.

Dain's handwriting is neat, consistent, and narrow. He can fit a lot of writing into one space and still have it be legible.

Crowley RadiantRaindragon

Crowley's handwriting is sharp and spiky, kind of aggressive-looking but also quite messy. He's not good at writing and thinks it's boring. I associate his handwriting with the font Matisse ITC, if you want an idea of how it looks.

Surprisingly, his spelling and grammar aren't that bad; it's just his handwriting that's messy.

I'll post some more in a separate comment.

RadiantRaindragon

Colin's handwriting is the most awful, indecipherable, cramped scrawl you could imagine. Even he can't always read it, and he never writes unless he has to, which is basically never.

Ethereal's writing is an elegant, loopy sort of script. She's a princess, so of course she grew up being taught how to write properly. However, she doesn't enjoy it much and tends to tire out her hands and wrists quickly.

Sandra's handwriting is, most of the time, barely legible. She prefers to type or text rather than write.

The Keeper's handwriting takes up a ridiculous amount of space on the paper; he writes the letters too big and also leaves overly-long spaces between each word. His writing is also kind of messy and inconsistent, like a child's handwriting. It looks as if he never really learned how to do it properly.

Truman spends a lot of time writing, so it's not a surprise that he's probably the best at it. He can write things incredibly fast and still have the words be legible. He's also pretty good at mimicking other people's handwriting, different fonts, and so on. He even knows how to write with his non-dominant hand (he learned so that he'd still be able to write if his other hand got tired or was injured), though less proficiently.

Ruben Eloquia Sanctius II Kree-Kat

Ruben takes great pride in his handwriting, elegant loops and flourishes are his trademark, aside from the gold ink that he prefers using on stationary and for his autograph. He's kept a diary of all of his years as an adventurer and he's used it to practice his calligraphy to the point where hes honestly quite good at it. due to this he prefers using fountain pens to pencils or ballpoint. ((tho he wont tell anyone, occasionally he's too tired or what have you to actually write so he'll cast a permanent illusion of that days entry with the intent to write it later.))

Kirbygal

Omg a while back when playing with a feature in my phone I tried to recreate what my ocs handwritings would be XD  Most of them have it as a gif in their galleries ^^ A few of my personal favorites would belong to Nitrous, Lucien, Jacob, Casanova, and Friedrich xD These are just their signatures but I imagine their regular handwriting is based off of it too. I wish I could have made them more varied but my own handwriting just gets in the way lmao

Nero atempause

he's a doctor that's often times drunk. literally no one can read the mess, including himself sometimes

Jackson Aukerman Zaten

the faster this guy writes, the more illegible it becomes. (including urigani)
