Mix: The offspring of two different keke types that combines their traits into something new

🌿 Rules & Overview 🌿

🌱 Mixes are posted in order of creation (er...99% in order)
🌱 Be sure to read each guide very carefully! There are lots of little things to watch for (if you notice something missing, feel free to poke me)
🌱 In general, mixes can earn things that their parent types can (the "type + type" listing below their mix). Say we're working with a Molten Mix. They're a Goober/Shiny hybrid, so they have access to both Goober-restricted and Shiny-restricted upgrades. They could also apply the gilded special morph (some morph restrictions may apply - details will be in the mix's or the morph's description)
🌱 The above rule does not stack. For example: you breed a Soggy Mix and a Pegasi Mix. The child is a Soggy Mix. They would have access to Goober-restricted things, but not Plumie or Fawnette
🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 These types of keke must be obtained through breeding, events, etc... They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

Glossy-Mix.png151: Glossy Mix: Furnan + Charmed

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Fern guide
Anatomy differences > The ears will be large and bunny-like with ribbed insides and lumpy undersides. The cheek pouches are the regular round shape. The twigs on the head tuft, mane, and tail tip are made up of a gem-like material which covers the top of the head and the neck. The back flaps are made out of the same stuff. Belly scales are the regular shape rather than rounded. Add 3 toes to the paws - matching paw pads are optional
Color differences > The body is restriced to any warm color. Belly scales can be pure white, one of the default blacks, or any warm color. All shiny bits (hair tuft, back flaps, mane, tail tip) can be any color, but must all be the same color
Baby stuff > Optional belly color tingeing
Description form > Include a "shift" field. This mix can be cold or warm-blooded. Glossy Mix shifts seem to always have very shiny hair or fur - like metallic level of shiny! If their shift doesn't have hair to speak of, this trait picks something else to shine up

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Charm or the Fern design rules
Matures out of > Belly color tingeing
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or a "favorite hiding place" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Arm flaps, blotches, bruise spots, chubby, drowsiness, extra twigs, missing teeth, sandy blood, short stature, and color points

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Wally, fairy, and noodle

🍒 Glossy Mixes keep their small size, but for some reason, their shifts are capable of being regular-keke-sized!
🍒 Despite being made of hard material, a Glossy Mix's twigs can still be moved around as normal

HannahBug

Wreath-Mix.png152: Wreath Mix: Furnan + Stilled
Based on a suggestion by VyrusVoyd!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Still guide
Anatomy differences > The keke will have more of a regular head with eyes and a mouth, but the eyes stay closed. The cheek pouch is slightly bumpy. The ears lean forward and are bumpy on the inward-facing side. Instead of ahaving holes beneath the under arms, there are three divots on the back in place of a Fern's flaps. Replace the tail loop with a ring of sticks woven together. Also add a "flower" crown and a loop around the neck of the same make. The cheek pouch is not metallic
Color differences > The body must be a pastel, greyish, or warm color. The sticks can be any natural bark or wood color, but cannot come with markings. The accent color (insides/mouth/cheek pouch) can be any color, but must all be the same color
Baby stuff > Baby film inside the tail loop
Description form > Include a "blood type" field. This mix is warm-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Still design rules
Matures out of > Baby film
Description form > Include an "favorite pose" and/or a "favorite hiding place" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Arm flaps, blotches, bruise spots, chubby, drowsiness, extra twigs, missing teeth, sandy blood, short stature, built-in bracelets, chips, film scraps, rough patches, scallops

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Wally, fairy, noodle, fae, and goblin

🍒 Wreath Mixes aren't super small, but they don't usually get much bigger than 3 to 4 feet in height. Some may stay smaller and hang around Fern size
🍒 Besides their stick wreaths, this mix is made up of stone! Their quite durable, which is nice for someone their size

HannahBug

Firefish-Mix.png153: Firefish Mix: Furnan + Elver
Based on a suggestion by VyrusVoyd!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > The mane and head tuft will be long, thin fins not unlike a lionfish's. Remove the tail fin and eyes. Instead tip the tail with fins like the mane/hair. Add 3 flaps on the back, all with the same sort of fins. At the very end of the arm fins, there will be a few long strips that make them look sort of like wings. The ears will be sort of elf-shaped, being lumpy on the backsides. Add circular belly scales like a Fern has
Color differences > The body must be a warm color. The fins can be any color, but must all be the same color (if you color them all). The arm fins are the only ones that must be the fin color by default. You can chose which of the others you color or color none at all. Fin color can cover the whole fins or just part of them (like shown above on the hair). Belly scales can be any warm color
Baby stuff > None
Description form > Include a "blood type" field. This mix may be warm or cold-blooded

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Elver or the Fern design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "favorite land thing" and/or a "favorite hiding place" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Arm flaps, blotches, bruise spots, chubby, drowsiness, extra twigs, missing teeth, sandy blood, short stature, extended arms, fading skin, and grasper fins

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Purfle, fringed, grouper, and veiled

🍒 Firefish Mixes are itty bitty! They stay about Furnan-sized with grouper morphs reaching up to Wyrm-size
🍒 This mix is majorly aquatic. They can poke their heads above water for a while, but it'll get uncomfortable and hard to breath after too long

HannahBug

Shoehorn-Mix.png154: Shoehorn Mix: Arboreal + regular

 🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the regular guide
Anatomy differences > Add a little upward-facing point to the tip of the muzzle. Add a slight crease by the eye, sort of like a tear duct mark. Finally, give the baby fin a leaf-shape (but no rib lines)
Color differences > Base color must be a green or brown
Baby stuff > Baby fin, optional belly color tingeing
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the regular design rules
Matures out of > Belly color tingeing, baby fin
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or a "favorite hiding place" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, color points, drowsiness, fin shreds, growth spurt, missing teeth, puffball spikes, short stature, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, leaf fins, and superfluff ears

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, and bough

🍒 Snakekeys don't actually know what a shoehorn is. This is just a funky name to them
🍒 That said, Shoehorns do have a tendency to use their nose spike for evil. Babies are particularly good at getting into cans or sealed packages with it

HannahBug

Sodden-Mix.png155: Sodden Mix: Arboreal + Goober

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Arie guide
Anatomy differences > Add a mane, small head tuft, and wrist feathering made up of goo. Remove the eye/nose crease. Make the eye wobbly like a Goober's as well as add a leaf-like baby sail. The ears are stuck in a downward droop
Color differences > The belly scales may be any color allowed by the Goober base color rules. The actual goo, though, will match the base color. Sail and fin can be different colors (ie the sail is the belly color, the fin is the accent)
Baby stuff > Baby fin, baby sail optional belly color tingeing
Description form > Include a 'blood type' field in place of a 'temperature' field

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Arie design rules. Design may be on the goo, too
Matures out of > Belly color tingeing, baby fin, baby sail
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or a "favorite hiding place" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Chubby, color points, drowsiness, growth spurt, sail shreds, sharp things, short stature, slippery scales, waterfall mane, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, fin shreds, leaf fins, superfluff ears

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, multitasker, and bough

🍒 Sodden Mixes are notorious for their sweet, goopy eyes. They may be harder to say 'no' to than an Arboreal's little squint!
🍒 Due to Goober'y genes, their ears are stuck facing down. This helps with the whole puppy-eye thing

HannahBug

Laurel-Mix.png156: Laurel Mix: Arboreal + Shiny

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Shiny guide
Anatomy differences > Change the bell into a leaf shape. Add a crease that runs from the innter eye to the tip of the nose as well as one that connects both inner eyes together. The inside of these creases will be metal-filled. Do not add forehead disks. The mouth will be smooth like an Arie's
Color differences > Added metal on the nose will match the rest of the metal (belly scales, bell, etc). In addition to gold and silver, the metal color may be a green or brown
Baby stuff > None
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Shiny design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "hoard type" and/or a "favorite hiding place" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, creases, drowsiness, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, bell cluster, chubby, glamorous hair, shimmering accents, mismatched metal, shimmer horns, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, bough, silverback, and hoardmaster

🍒 While not common, there is the off-chance that a Laurel may be born with a clapper in their nosepiece. This makes their face jingle along with their tail!
🍒 If the edges aren't rounded on the bell, some leaf-shapes can be very pointy... These are often sanded down, lest they cut themselves or others

HannahBug

Pollinator-Mix.png157: Pollinator Mix: Arboreal + Plumie

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Plumie guide
Anatomy differences > Give the keke a pointy nose like an Arboreal with creases running from the inner eyes to the tip of the muzzle. Add paws at the 'wrist' joint of the wings, complete with paw pads
Color differences > Pollinators follow Arboreal coloring rules in that they their base color can only be greens or browns. The added paw pads will be the accent color
Baby stuff > None
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Arie design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or a "favorite hiding place" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, drowsiness, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, bell cluster, chubby, dorsal feathers, downy plumage, fan tail, feather crest, keratin formations, missing teeth, talons

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, bough, roostling, cygnest, and broodlett

🍒 Pollinator babies are infamous for escaping hatcheries and homes only to fly into trees and hide there. Their colors help them blend in, but their accent feathers may be a dead giveaway if they have them!
🍒 It's not uncommon for these guys to watch birds peck the ground and try to copy them. They have pointy faces too. It just makes sense!

HannahBug

Haul-Mix.png158: Haul Mix: Arboreal + Fawn
Partially uses a suggestion by hyph0n!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Fawn guide
Anatomy differences > These mixes have horribly short hair compared to your average Fawn. Their cheek pouches are also in the regular place, removing fluff there. The hooves are very large at this age, but they'll grow into them as they get older
Color differences > The base color must be a brown. The baby spot may also be a brown if desired. Inner ear color can match the belly scales or the baby spot
Baby stuff > Baby leaves in place of baby quills. These match the accent color
Description form > These mixes are warm-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Fawn design rules or the Arie design rules
Matures out of > Baby leaves. May mature out of baby spot if using Arie design rules
Description form > "Favorite hiding place" field is optional. Can still participate in the Rite of Passage and earn a band (though they may need hair extending upgrades, as it does not grow out)

🌿 Youth:
This mix skips the youth phase!

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, bough, common, and regal
Matures into > Grows a tail blade with a leaf shape, which matches the accent color
Misc > Can still participate in Feats and earn a hair style ( (though they may need hair extending upgrades)

🍒 Haul Mixes are named as such because their extra big hooves give them the apperance of a draft horse or pack animal
🍒 Typically, these guys are significantly less sheepish than Fawns while not as proud as Arboreals. Kind of noncommittal, don'tcha think?

HannahBug

Pullover-Mix.png159: Pullover Mix: Arboreal + Subterfewege
Suggested by sourhour!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Ewe guide
Anatomy differences > The keke is born with their muzzle uncovered along with most of their arms and tail - the wool looks more like a funky sweater than a full covering. The nose is pointed like and Arboreal's. Add paw pads and a crease on each side of the torso that runs to the tail tip. There's a mouth on the face as opposed to one on the belly and it's smooth. This mix has bulky Arie baby paws, but they never grow out of them!
Color differences > Either the skin or the wool must be a green or brown, but it's not required for both to be such. The mouth can be any solid color as is usual for Ewes
Baby stuff > None
Description form > Include a "blood type" field

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Arie design rules or the Ewe design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include a "favorite hiding place" field, but not a "flavor type" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bumper snoot, creases, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, back plates, bone disks, chubby, drip wool, half-face

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, and bough

🍒 A Pullover's wool is thinner and more coarse, akin to cotton
🍒 Although they have a face-mouth, Pullovers don't...eat or breathe or drink or anything. This is due to said mouth not actually connecting to anything. They can speak with it, but that just doesn't make any sense

HannahBug

Canopy-Mix.png160: Canopy Mix: Arboreal + Pterrur

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Rur guide
Anatomy differences > The wing membranes and baby fin will have leaf-like veins in them. The baby fin is larger, being average size for a regular. The neck and body are elongated while the muzzle is pointed. The mouth is smooth. The head crest starts as a straight spike, which can be shorter, but not longer than the example shown here. The crest doesn't run all the way down to the chin, instead stopping before it reaches the muzzle point
Color differences > Base may be a green or a brown. The membranes (wings/baby fin) may be a different green/brown if desired
Baby stuff > Baby fin, optimal belly color tingeing
Description form > This mix may be warm or cold-blooded

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Arie design rules
Matures out of > Baby fin, belly color tingeing
Description form > Include a "favorite hiding place" field and/or an "art type" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, drowsiness, fin shreds, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, boomnana crest, color points, dual crest, fork crest, mountain crest, and tower crest

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, reach, bough, and saur

HannahBug

Conflict-Mix.png161: Conflict Mix: Arboreal + Superior

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Soup guide
Anatomy differences > The muzzle is pointed and, as a result, doesn't look quite so stubby. The mane and head tuft are grown out to a nice average length where it will stay. The ears are super poofy and long while the tail tuft is absent. The paws are bulkier upon hatching like those of an Arie. The neck and body are slightly elongated
Color differences > Follow the Soup young rules to color the head tuft and mane. Conflicts have an increased chance of being green, but it isn't required. The belly scales, however, must be a green or brown with green being warm-blooded and brown being cold
Baby stuff > Optional belly color tingeing
Description form > This mix may be warm or cold-blooded

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Soup or Arie design rules
Matures out of > May optionally grow out of belly color tingeing, but it isn't required
Matures into > The muzzle elongates at the regular rate for Soups (in both this age phase and the ones to follow)
Description form > Include a "favorite hiding place" field and/or an "art type" field. Mention which subspecies' color rule you're using

🌿 Youth:
Matures out of > The paws have grown slender and elegant at this age
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, drowsiness, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, chubby, color points, glamorous hair, missing teeth, puffball spikes, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, reach, fae, and bough

🍒 Conflict Mixes are named as such simply because their parent subspecies don't generally like each other that much...
🍒 While their shorter hair may be considered a Soup tragedy, it allows them to live an arboreal lifestyle without getting tangled up in branches, if they like

HannahBug

Seedling-Mix.png162: Seedling Mix: Arboreal + Wyrm
Based on suggestions by hyph0n and sourhour!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Wyrm guide
Anatomy differences > The muzzle is pointed and the mouth is smooth. The ears look about regular keke length, but the mane is totally absent. The third eye is replaced with a small sprout. The keke will look less stunted overall. Small leafy fins sprout on the naga tail with a minimum of 2. Note that each leaf fin will sprout off of a small skin nub (kind of like some fish's pectoral fins). The baby fin will have veins on it like a leaf
Color differences > Leaf fins, baby fin, and head sprout may be any green or brown, but must all be the same color
Baby stuff > Baby fin and optional belly color tingeing
Description form > This mix may be warm or cold-blooded

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Wyrm design rules
Matures out of > Belly color tingeing. Keeps baby fin
Description form > Include a "favorite hiding place" field and/or an "art type" field. Include a "color method" field, as well

🌿 Youth:
Matures into > The second, smaller set of arms sprouts and grows at the regular rate for Wyrms. This looks like another set of the leaf-fins on the body, just positioned behind the main arms. Leaf color should be a green or brown, but doesn't have to match the original color of the other leaves
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, drowsiness, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, chubby, color points, fused blindness, mini munchkin, and sticky arms

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey and minskin

🍒 Seedlings tend to be about the height of a regular hatchling (1'6" - 2'6") with a chance to be a bit taller if they grow into the joey morph
🍒 Assumedly due to their relation to the noodley Aries, this mix doesn't seem to naturally grow into curvier morphs

HannahBug

Lollipop-Mix.png163: Lollipop Mix: Arboreal + Spiced

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Spice guide
Anatomy differences > Add a swirl crease on the forehead area (can be smaller or larger than shown here). The cheek pouch will be like that of a regular keke, without swirl or gloss. The tail candy is leaf-shaped with a small swirl at the base of it. Belly scales are like those of a regular keke and the mouth is smooth. Surprisingly, the arms are neither fat nor the paws bulky
Color differences > The base color may be green along with brown, white, or cream. There is only one accent color. Belly scales may be white, cream, brown, or green. Both brown and green are cold-blooded in this mix. White remains warm and cream remains toasty
Baby stuff > None
Description form > Forgo the 'blood check' field - this mix may be cold-blooded without a roll!

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Spiced design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include a "favorite hiding place" field and/or an "art type" field. Include a "color method" field, as well

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, creases, drowsiness, growth spurt, leaf fins, candy fangs, chubby, cookie mane, drizzle points, frosted fluff, missing teeth, short stature, sprinkles

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey , fae, reach, goblin, and bough

🍒 The pudgy arms of baby Spices and the clompy paws of little Aries seems to cancel out, giving Lollipops... totally normal arms. Weird!

Peeta-Mix.png164: Peeta Mix: Arboreal + Cece

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Cece guide
Anatomy differences > Replace all drizzle with a row of leaves. Said leaves will also replace the mane and head tuft. The nose is pointed and the mouth is smooth. Strangely, this mix has a simple muzzle. The belly scales are visible and face downwards. The cheek pouches are in their regular place on the cheeks
Color differences > Leaves follow drizzle color rules
Baby stuff > Baby fin, which has a curl at the end (matches accent color)
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Cece design rules
Matures out of > Baby fin
Description form > Include a "favorite hiding place" field and/or an "art type" field. Include a "color method" field, as well

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, drowsiness, fin shreds, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, arrowhead pouch, candy fangs, chubby, puffball spikes, short stature, sprinkles

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, reach, layered, and bough

🍒 Peeta leaves are strongly scented and vaguely sweet-smelling akin to the chocolate mint plant! When inverted, not only do they become poisonous, but they also develop a strong, caustic, chemical-y scent
🍒 This mix having a muzzle is a genetic peculiarity, as neither of the parents have one by default...
🍒 OOC: This mix's name is a joke about when Peeta from The Hunger Games uses his cake decorating skills to hide in the forest

Leafbug-Mix.png165: Leafbug Mix: Arboreal + Exoskeletal

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Exo guide
Anatomy differences > Babies will look more like Exo young, being less squishy and round. The second set of eyes is positioned underneath and towards the back of the main eyes. After the ear bands, the ear nubs convert to fluff. There's only one set of arms, but these have large, multi-layered leafy 'sleeves' covering them. "Sleeves" will have leaf-like veins on them. Both the start and end of both sets of belly scales are rounded and all scales face downwards.
Color differences > The base color must be green or brown. Belly scales can be any fully desaturated white, grey, or black. Belly scales may also be green or brown, if desired
Baby stuff > Baby fin, which has leaf veins in it (matches accent color)
Description form > No change. This mix is cold-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Arie design rules
Matures out of > Baby fin
Description form > Include a "bug quirk" field and/or an "art type" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, creases, drowsiness, fin shreds, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, boa, chubby, fake feelers, Pyrus joints, sticky molt

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Strider, reaper and bough

🍒 The skin making up the Leafbug's "sleeves" is sort of tough and papery. It rattles when shaken and this mix tends to take... great joy in this ability
