Mix: The offspring of two different keke types that combines their traits into something new

🌿 Rules & Overview 🌿

🌱 Mixes are posted in order of creation (er...99% in order)
🌱 Be sure to read each guide very carefully! There are lots of little things to watch for (if you notice something missing, feel free to poke me)
🌱 In general, mixes can earn things that their parent types can (the "type + type" listing below their mix). Say we're working with a Molten Mix. They're a Goober/Shiny hybrid, so they have access to both Goober-restricted and Shiny-restricted upgrades. They could also apply the gilded special morph (some morph restrictions may apply - details will be in the mix's or the morph's description)
🌱 The above rule does not stack. For example: you breed a Soggy Mix and a Pegasi Mix. The child is a Soggy Mix. They would have access to Goober-restricted things, but not Plumie or Fawnette
🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 These types of keke must be obtained through breeding, events, etc... They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

Fingerling-Mix.png121: Fingerling Mix: Elver + regular
Suggested by Anhelisk and hyph0n!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Regular guide
Anatomy differences > Replace the ears with an Elver's fin ears, except the connecting bit of skin will be fuzzy. Add a small head tuft and shrink the mane down a little. Add fins that span the underside of the arms and remove the paw pads. Remove half the belly scales, making them only go about halfway down the upper part of the body. The "baby fin" is a permenent fixture and goes a bit higher up the tail than it usually would. Add three eyes on each side of the naga tail where an Elver would have them, except these are stuck closed
Color differences > Fins can be regular avaliable colors (belly color or accent) or they may be a new color all their own. All fins must be the same color. Closed eyes match the open eyes in color if that...becomes relevant
Baby stuff > "Baby fin". Sort of. Optional belly color tingeing
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Elver design rules
Matures out of > Belly color tingeing
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or a "favorite land thing" field. These keke can go on land easily, but might still have a land-based obsession

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, fading skin, grasper fins, growth spurt, short stature, color points, drowsiness, missing teeth, and puffball spikes

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, purfle, fringed, grouper, and veiled

🍒 Despite their appearance, Fingerling Mixes are more amphibious than aquatic. They're equally as comfortable on land as they are in water! Though they do generally like to have their skin moist, so it's best to take a dip every now and again
🍒 If left dried out for too long (multiple days), these mixes can develop a mild "sunburn" if exposed to the sun for long periods. This can cause slight pain, a feeling of heat on the skin, and, if it's really bad, can make scales fall out

HannahBug

Algae-Mix.png122: Algae Mix: Goober + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > All fins will now be gooey. The eyes on the tail will become runny as well
Color differences > Both the fins and the body color are restricted by Goober base color rules (hatchling section). The base and the fins, however, do not have to be the same color
Baby stuff > None
Description form > Include a "temperature" and a "blood type" field. The goop and the blood do not have to be the same (so you could have cold fins and warm blood)

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Goober design rules. Note method A can only go on the goop. Method B may go anywhere
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or a "favorite land thing" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Chubby, drowsiness, growth spurt, oil layer, sharp things, short stature, waterfall mane, bedhead, blotches, disappearing tail, extended arms, fading skin, gap closer, and grasper fins

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Purfle, fringed, grouper, and veiled

🍒 Algae Mixes are fully aquatic and will experience high levels of discomfort and difficulty breathing if they attempt to live on land
🍒 Unlike most goopy keke types, the Algae Mix's goo will actually try to evaporate if exposed to hot air for too long. Thanks to their Goober genes, they'll be able to pull themselves back together, but will also be rendered unable to move if they lose too much slime. Once they're able to reclaim enough of it from the air, they'll be mobile again

HannahBug

Reflection-Mix.png123: Reflection Mix: Shiny + Elver
Based on suggestions from Anhelisk and VyrusVoyd!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > All eyes will be bells, having a slit hole with a round hole at each end. There can be 3 eyes on each side of the tail, or just 1 on each side. The mane is regular length, but remains silky. Add regular belly scales
Color differences > The fins, belly scales, mouth, and all eyes will follow Shiny metal rules (being silver or gold) and metallic. You can mismatch silver and gold as you please, but each part must only be one color (meaning, their right arm fin can't be silver and gold - just one)
Baby stuff > None
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Shiny design rules. Note markings cannot go on metallic parts
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "hoard type" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, extended arms, fading skin, gap closer, grasper fins, growth spurt, short stature, glamorous hair, glimmering accents, mismatched metal, and missing teeth

🌿 Adult :
Default morphs > Purfle, fringed, grouper, and veiled

🍒 Reflection Mixes can still see with their eyes despite them being bells. They also jingle which is...odd

HannahBug

Glider-Mix.png124: Glider Mix: Plumie + Elver
Based on suggestions from Anhelisk and VyrusVoyd!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > All of the fins are replaced with feathers. The tail fin covers much less of the body, generally focusing on the tip of the tail. Remove the eyes on the sides of the tail and add 3 to the feathered tail tip. Replace the mane and head tuft with smallish feathers as well. Add regular belly scales
Color differences > Belly scales (and mouth) must be one of the regular colors, which you can see on the Plumie guide. The feathers on the ears, arms, and tail can be any color (but all must match), while the mane and head tuft should remain the base color
Baby stuff > None
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Plumie design rules. Or Elver. They're effectively the same
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "art type" field, but no "favorite land thing"

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, extended arms, gap closer, growth spurt, short stature, dorsal feathers, downy plumage, feather crest, keratin formations, and missing teeth

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Purfle, fringed, grouper, veiled, roostling, cygnest, and broodlett

🍒 Glider Mixes are really not suited for the water... Their feathers get heavy when wet, making it take more energy to swim around than it should
🍒 These mixes are capable of flight right after hatching, but often aren't skilled enough to do more than their namesake: glide. Much to parents' dismay, these guys love to glide and constantly climbing high places to launch off of. Even if they...don't plan their trajectory and are doomed to smack into a wall before they land

HannahBug

Mermaid-Mix.png125: Mermaid Mix: Fawnette + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Fawn guide
Anatomy differences > These keke start with long, graceful manes and head tufts. The ears have a sort of ribbed shape. Mouth has attached teeth. The lower half of the arms sprout a fin. Five thin blades grow from the tail, which can be long or short, up to you. They do not all have to be the same length. Add a fin where the naga tail starts that runs to the tip of the tail and is "propped up" by the tail blades
Color differences > Fins may be any color, but all must match. The tail blades will match the accent color
Baby stuff > Baby spot
Description form > These keke are warm-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Fawn design rules or the Elver design rules for color method B only
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > "Favorite land thing" field is optional. Can still participate in the Rite of Passage and earn a band

🌿 Youth:
This mix skips the youth stage!

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Purfle, fringed, grouper, and veiled
Misc > Can still participate in Feats and earn a hair style

🍒 Mermaid Mixes may experience mild discomfort when on land, but not enough that it isn't possible for them to live up there
🍒 Generally, these mixes prefer to live underwater, as it allows them plenty of places to hide and the ability to dart away quickly. Plus their fins really stand out on land...

HannahBug

Blank-Mix.png126: Blank Mix: Subterfewege + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the regular guide for simplicity's sake
Anatomy differences > Remove the eyes and mouth on the face. The ears are longer than they would normally be. The mane is made out of wool and the tail has a wooly tuft. Add a small, silky head tuft. Remove the paw pads. Add little fins to the wrists and about halfway down the naga tail (one on each side). Also add a belly mouth and two tiny eyes just above it
Color differences > The wool (mane and tail tuft) can be its own color, but must all be the same color. The fins will match the accent color. Belly mouth can be any solid color on the inside
Baby stuff > None
Description form > Include a "blood type" field

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Elver design rules. Note that, in this case, color method B may also color the wool
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "flavor type" field. "Favorite land thing" field is optional

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, gap closer, growth spurt, short stature, back plates, bone disks, color points, drip wool, and half face

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, and goblin

🍒 Blank Mixes are fine both in land and on water. Their type doesn't have a preference for one or the other (though the keke themselves might)
🍒 Due to having eyes and mouth way lower on their body than they should be, these mixes tend to "stand" more upright than usual with their arms tucked out of the way, allowing them to use their belly "face" better

HannahBug

Sailboat-Mix.png127: Sailboat Mix: Pterrur + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Pterrur guide
Anatomy differences > Remove the head crest and replace it with a large, raisable fin. The mane changes to a silky material. The arms are totally ingulfed in wing membranes, though paw pads remain on the wrist joint area. A fin forms on the top of the naga tail and runs to the tail tip. Add 2 eyes on each side of the naga tail
Color differences > Membrane coloring applies to the head and tail fin (being the base color or any shade of brown). All fins must be the same color
Baby stuff > Optional belly color tingeing
Description form > This mix can be cold or warm-blooded

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Pterrur design rules or the Evler design rules for color method B only
Matures out of > Belly color tingeing
Description form > Include an "art type". "Favorite land thing" is not required, but may be added due to a lingering Elver obsession

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, extended arms, fgap closer, grasper fins, growth spurt, short stature, color points, drowsiness

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Saur, saurus, saurling, purfle, fringed, grouper, and veiled

🍒 These mixes are capable of both swimming and flying (though they don't learn the latter until they've hit the young phase). Regretfully, they inherited more of the Pterrur's clumsiness than the Elver's grace
🍒 Since their crests look generally the same, Sailboat Mixes will often paint or otherwise color their head fins in hopes of looking the most impressive

HannahBug

Siren-Mix.png128: Siren Mix: Superior + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > Make the mane and head tuft quite long. The arm and ear fins also get a boost to length. Remove the eyes on the tail. The tail fin shrinks down to mainly just cover the tip, but gains length. Add regular belly scales
Color differences > Belly scales (and mouth) must be one of the regular options, which can be seen on the Soup guide
Baby stuff > Optional belly color tingeing
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Elver design rules
Matures out of > Belly color tingeing can be removed, but this is optional!
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or "favorite land thing" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, extended arms, fading skin, gap closer, grasper fins, growth spurt, short stature, color points, drowsiness, glamorous hair, missing teeth, and puffball spikes

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, purfle, fringed, grouper, and veiled

🍒 Soup parents are absolutely delighted at the hair this mix sports from birth. It doesn't grow into a long, graceful muzzle, but this they can forgive
🍒 Siren Mixes can live above and below water equally fine, but they'll usually pick just one. The reason for this is the transfer from water to land makes their hair look horrible... Not to mention the brushing required

HannahBug

Scraggle-Mix.png129: Scraggle Mix: Wyrm + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > The main eyes will need to be squinty. Add a third, squinting eye like Wyrms have. The ears will be smaller than normal. Add a second set of full-sized arms behind the fin arms (note that the regular arms will have paw pads). Add more eyes along the tail to make a long line going all the way up the body. Shrink the tail fin so that it focuses more on the tail tip. The tail and arm fins appear somewhat tattered and bent (this can apply to the ear fins as well, but is optional). Add regular belly scales
Color differences > Belly scales (and mouth) must be one of the regular options, which can be seen on the Wyrm guide. Paw pads will match the accent color
Baby stuff > Optional belly color tingeing
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Elver design rules
Matures out of > Belly color tingeing
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or "favorite land thing" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, extended arms, fading skin, gap closer, grasper fins, growth spurt, short stature, bad eyesight, color points, drowsiness, fused blindness, mini munchkin, fused arms, and warped eye

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Minskin, pod, purfle, and fringed

🍒 Scraggle Mixes have an impressive range of vision. This tends to come with an aversion to light (it's only fair). To avoid the sun, these mixes tend to hide underwater
🍒 If they chose to live on land, Scraggle Mixes have slight difficulty breathing and may experience mild discomfort, but can otherwise make it

HannahBug

Jabot-Mix.png130: Jabot Mix: Spiced + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Spiced guide
Anatomy differences > Add webbing between the ear bumps. Remove the spiral from the cheek pouch. Each belly scale takes on the form of a floofy fin
Color differences > Accent will only be a single color instead of two. The fins on the ears may be any color, but must all be the same color
Baby stuff > Optional drizzle
Description form > Do not include the 'blood check' field. This mix can be toasty-blooded and it's not rare!

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Spiced design rules
Matures out of > Drizzle
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or "favorite land thing" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, growth spurt, short stature, candy fangs, cookie mane, drizzle points, frosted fluff, missing teeth, sprinkles

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, and goblin

🍒 Jabot Mixes can live on land without issue, but seem to have a preference for swimming anyway
🍒 When in the water, Jabot Mixes often attract fish and other life, as the leave a trail of sweet-tasting water behind them. Although this seems like their candy is dissolving, their appearance doesn't change, implying this is not so. If a Jabot Mix enters a small puddle of water, sweetens it, and then leaves, the pool will return to normal a few minutes later

HannahBug

Masquerade-Mix.png131: Masquerade Mix: Cece + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > The arms will be regular keke arms, paw pads included. The mane and head tuft are somewhat curly. The keke has an eye pouch like Cece's do, except it takes the form of a large fin. Remove the eyes on the sides of the tail. Add belly scales, but with no visible seams like a Cece has. The fin on the back is made of frosting and runs along the whole of the back, but not up the belly
Color differences > Frosting can be its own color and will invert when the keke goes into poison mode. The ear fins may also be their own color, but both ears must be the same color. The eye fins are the accent color. Belly scales and mouth must be one of the regular options, which can be seen on the Cece guide
Baby stuff > None
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Cece design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or "favorite land thing" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, fadign skin, gap closer, growth spurt, short stature, arrowhead pouch, candy fangs, drowsiness, puffball spikes, sprinkles, and upside down drizzle

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, purfle, fringed, grouper, and veiled

🍒 While these mixes do not suffer breathing issues or discomfort on land, they'll likely stay aquatic anyway. The frosting that makes up their fin will quickly dry out when exposed to air, becoming brittle and cracking, which can take a long time to regrow!
🍒 The fin-eye-pouches are fully mobile and can flap around. Masquerade Mixes will commonly use them to cover their eyes when scared or flustered

HannahBug

Twinfin-Mix.png132: Twinfin Mix: Exoskeletal + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > Remove the head tuft and shrink the mane down to just the base of the neck. Add two additional eyes on the face which drop down towards the cheek pouches. The ear fins will double/have a "v" shaped notch out of them. The 3 eyes on each side of the naga tail are moved up to the shoulders. Add a second set of arms behind the first and paws with two pointy fingers each to each "wrist" joint (no paw pads). The keke has belly scales, but only the bottom section of an Exo's
Color differences > The paws on the fins may be the fin or the base color. Belly scales and mouth must be one of the 4 options for Exos seen on their guide
Baby stuff > None
Description form > No change. This mix may be cold or warm-blooded

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Elver design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "bug quirk" and/or "favorite land thing" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, fading skin, extended arms, grasper fins, growth spurt, short stature, boa, fake feelers, Pyrus joints, sticky molt

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Strider, reaper, bumble, tumble, purfle, fringed, grouper, and veiled

🍒 Twinfin Mixes are amphibious and can chose whether they prefer water or land, though their finned arms clearly have a preference...
🍒 Like Exos, Twinfins cannot close their smallest eyes, which includes the 4 on their cheek pouches and the last in line on their shoulders

HannahBug

Adapter-Mix.png133: Adapter Mix: Zenith + Elver
Based on a suggestion by Anhelisk!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > Add belly scales with swirls like a Zen's. The usual head tuft is optional and the mane is full sized. The cheek pouches have a small hole in their center. Instead of being fluffy, the outer edge of the pouches are lined with a droopy fin. The ears, arms, and tail tip are highly variable, as they can be based on any 1 aquatic or amphibious creature. If said creature doesn't have ears (say, a dolphin for example), you can use another of the creature's features to make an appropriate alteration (dolphin dorsal fins for ears)
Color differences > Belly scales and mouth will be one of the 3 default colors, which can be seen on the Zen guide. Added features for arms/ears/tails can have additional colors if they make sense. For example, you couldn't add markings, but if you have otter feet, the paw pads can be their own unique color
Baby stuff > None
Description form > Instead of a 'breed' field, write a 'creature' field. Here, put what you've based your mix off of (their arms/ears/tail)!

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Zenith design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an "art type" and/or "favorite land thing" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, fading skin, extended arms, grasper fins, growth spurt, short stature, draconic horns, drowsiness, eye plating, glimmering accents, and shimmer horns

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, and goblin

🍒 Adapter Mixes are unable to move the frills on their cheeks, so they flow in the water
🍒 Depending on the creature they're based off of, these mixes can be semi or fully aquatic. If they're based on a fish, you probably won't see them slithering around on land...

Attentive-Mix.png134: Attentive Mix: Jellied + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > Give the keke regular arms. They'll have one central paw pad reflecting the food they're based off of. Remove the head tuft. Make the ears slim and tall. All of the keke's eyes will be wobbly, not unlike a Goober. The tail fin shrinks down to cover only the lower portion of the naga tail. Add regular belly scales
Color differences > The inside of the belly scales, mouth, and all of the eyes will appear to be filled with jelly. This jelly can be any color, but must all be the same color
Baby stuff > None
Description form > Include a 'food' field that says what food your keke's based off of

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Jellied method A for goo only or Elver method A for the base
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include a "favorite land thing" field, but no 'sour or bitter' field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, fading skin, growth spurt, short stature, color points, drowsiness, fruit salad, purée, sail shreds, slippery scales, waterfall mane

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, and goblin

🍒 Despite what it looks like, Attentive Mixes are not jelly on the inside. Their belly scales are transparent, revealing a thin pocket of jelly between them and their skin. The eyes do the same general thing which is about as bad for the vision as you would think. These mixes see the world through a veil of blobby color
🍒 Attentive Mixes are capable of living on land or in the water, but tend to pick land

Shipwreck-Mix.png135: Shipwreck Mix: Charmed + Elver
Based on a suggestion by Anhelisk!

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Charmed guide
Anatomy differences > The inside of the ears will be fin. Remove the plate on the forehead. Cheek pouches will be regular. Remove the belly scales. Move the 3 plates on the back to the side of the naga tail and add 3 to the other side so they're symmetrical. Add a fin on the top of the lower half of the naga tail that has 'v' shaped notches out of it. The mane is silky. Add a silky head tuft. The charm, when placed, will take on the look of a fin, shell, or fish
Color differences > The accent color separates from the medallion color, with the accent color being matte. It colors the cheek pouches and paw pads. The webs inside the ears and on the tail can be any color, but must be the same color. The inside of the mouth can be the medallion, accent, or fin color
Baby stuff > None
Description form > Include a 'blood type' and a 'shift' field. When on land, a Shipwreck's shift will look broken down, rusted, cracked, or otherwise beat up. When underwater, it looks perfectly fine!

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Charmed design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include an 'art type' and/or a 'favorite land thing'

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, chubby, disappearing tail, disappearing tail, fading skin, growth spurt, short stature, color points, drowsiness, missing teeth, and puffball spikes

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, and goblin

🍒 These mixes tend to be amphibious, popping in and out of the water when they please
🍒 The mix's ears are stronger than they look, allowing them to be used as small swimming fins when underwater
