Mix: The offspring of two different keke types that combines their traits into something new

🌿 Rules & Overview 🌿

🌱 Mixes are posted in order of creation (er...99% in order)
🌱 Be sure to read each guide very carefully! There are lots of little things to watch for (if you notice something missing, feel free to poke me)
🌱 In general, mixes can earn things that their parent types can (the "type + type" listing below their mix). Say we're working with a Molten Mix. They're a Goober/Shiny hybrid, so they have access to both Goober-restricted and Shiny-restricted upgrades. They could also apply the gilded special morph (some morph restrictions may apply - details will be in the mix's or the morph's description)
🌱 The above rule does not stack. For example: you breed a Soggy Mix and a Pegasi Mix. The child is a Soggy Mix. They would have access to Goober-restricted things, but not Plumie or Fawnette
🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 These types of keke must be obtained through breeding, events, etc... They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

Lowlhand-Mix.png166: Lowlhand Mix: Arboreal + Zenith

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the regular guide (for simplicity's sake)
Anatomy differences > The mouth is smooth and the belly scales are spiraled like a Zen's. The hands have four, human-like fingers and a thumb without any paw pads. There are small, circle-shaped creases beneath the eyes. The ears are made up of large, multi-pointed leaves. The arms have "sleeves" made of multiple smaller leaves just before the hands. The tail is tipped with a large cluster of leaves. All leaves should have veins (unless they're too small for veins to be visible)
Color differences > Leaves may be any color, but should all be the same color
Baby stuff > None
Description form > No "breed" field

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Zen design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include a "favorite hiding place" field and/or an "art type" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, creases, drowsiness, growth spurt, leaf fins, chubby, draconic horns, eye plating, glimmering accents, shimmer horns, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, and bough

HannahBug

Poultice-Mix.png167: Poultice Mix: Arboreal + Jellied

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Arie guide
Anatomy differences > The ears, arms from the elbows down, and end portion of the naga tail are made of a majorly transparent, jelly-like goo. Inside this goo floats any type of leaf in any amount (there must be a min of 1 leaf visible in each goo portion)
Color differences > Leaves in the goop may be any color. The goop itself must be mostly transparent, but may be slightly tinted a color
Baby stuff > Baby fin, clompy baby feet
Description form > No "food" field. This mix has both a "temperature" and "blood type" which do not have to be the same type (eg, may be cold temperature and warm-blooded)

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Arie design rules
Matures out of > Baby fin and baby feet
Description form > Include a "sour or bitter" field and/or an "favorite hiding place" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, drowsiness, fin shreds, growth spurt, leaf fins, chubby, purée, slippery scales, waterfall mane

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, and bough

HannahBug

Ironwood-Mix.png168: Ironwood Mix: Arboreal + Charmed

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Arie guide
Anatomy differences > The ears are a bit bigger with a visible indent on the inside. Add a Charm's diamond-shaped plate on the head. Also "fill" the crease on the nose with one of these plates. The nose plate may have flat, 'V' shaped, or leaf vein-like lines through it. Add three, leaf-shaped plates along the black with leaf vein lines through them. The mouth has attached teeth and the neck has a mane like a regular keke. The belly scales start in a diamond-shape and face downwards in 'V' shapes
Color differences > All of the plates may be any color, but must all be the same color. The base may be any color. Belly scales can be any fully desaturated white, grey, or black
Baby stuff > Baby fin, which is a circle with a 'V'-shaped notch out of it (Matches accent or belly color). Big baby feet
Description form > Add a "shift" field. Ironwood shifts tend to be longer than they're supposed to...? This can range from a little bit of stretched to looking like the worst smushed jpeg

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Charm design rules
Matures out of > Baby fin and baby feet
Description form > Include a "art type" field and/or an "favorite hiding place" field. Also include a "color method" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, drowsiness, fin shreds, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, chubby, color points, missing teeth, puffball spikes, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, fae, reach, goblin, and bough

🍒 Due to their similarity in appearance to Aries, it's considered... totally weird that Ironwoods can grow into the goblin mix. Sure, some mixes can have fae, but goblin is less common

HannahBug

Eyespot-Mix.png169: Eyespot Mix: Arboreal + Stilled

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Still guide
Anatomy differences > The head is a touch longer and more vine-snake-y than a default Still's. The ears are fluff, but still curl sharply inwards. There's two carvings on the face giving the appearance of eyes. You have a lot of freedom with these, but they should generally still look like eyes! A crease runs from the inner corner of the eye to the tip of the muzzle. The paws have toe divot carvings, but only one each, making them look like each paw has two big toes. There's a belly scale carving on the torso that bleeds into the underarm divots and ends before it reaches the naga tail. The tail loop is leaf-shaped and the film inside is leaf-veined
Color differences > Metal color needs to be a green or brown. The belly scale carving may be a slightly lighter or darker version of the base color or the base color itself
Baby stuff > Baby film and big baby paws
Description form > Omit the 'blood type' field

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Still design rules
Matures out of > Baby feet. May optionally retain baby film
Description form > Include a "favorite pose" field and/or an "favorite hiding place" field. Also include a "color method" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, drowsiness, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, built-in bracelets, chips, chubby, color points, film scraps, rough patches, scallops, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Joey, reach, and bough

🍒 Eyespots have a texture akin to damp clay, but aren't nearly as moldable. They have a slightly spongy feel, but you won't be able to sculpt them or anything
🍒 Tend to be kind of cold and clammy...

HannahBug

Sw-ampland-Mix.png170: Swampland Mix: Arboreal + Elver

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Elver guide
Anatomy differences > Have regular fluffy ears, albeit a bit larger than normal. No head tuft, but slightly longer mane. There's a short, straight crease on both the inner and outer corner of the eye. The arm fins are leaf-shaped with leaf-like veins in them. The tail fin attaches at the sides of a keke rather than the top and bottom. It is also leaf-shaped and leaf-veined. There are no eyes on the naga tail and there's a row of typical downwards-facing belly scales
Color differences > Every element of a Swampland must be a green or a brown. Green belly scales are warm-blooded, brown are cold
Baby stuff > None
Description form > No change

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Elver design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include a "favorite hiding place" field. Also include a "color method" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, creases, drowsiness, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, chubby, disappearing tail, fading skin, gap closer, grasper fins, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Purfle, fringed, grouper, veiled, and bough

🍒 Aside from not super being built for it, Swamplands are...pretty okay on land. They tend to prefer staying in water, though - likely due to a mental influence left over from their Elver genes

HannahBug

Fullbloom-Mix.png171: Fullbloom Mix: Arboreal + Furnan

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Fern guide
Anatomy differences > Replace all sticks with tiny little leaves! The muzzle is pointed, but not quite to the Arie degree - the face stays a bit chubby and rounded looking. The ears are pointed and only lumpy on the underside. Add a crease that runs from the innermost corner of the eye to the muzzle. The cheek pouches are veined and take on the shape of any leaf. Feet have two toes each. The flaps on the back take on a leaf shape and leaf veins. The belly scales are more of the regular shape, but have small divots at the edge of each scale overlap
Color differences > The leaves may be any color that is natural for leaves! Belly scales may be a green or brown. Base color can be any warm color or a green. Eyes and accent may be any color
Baby stuff > Bulky baby paws
Description form > No change. This mix is warm-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Fern or Arie design rules
Matures out of > Baby paws
Description form > Include a "favorite hiding place" field. Also please mention which sub's color rules you're using!

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Bedhead, blotches, bulky paws, bumper snoot, creases, drowsiness, growth spurt, leaf fins, superfluff ears, arm flaps, bruise spots, chubby, color points, extra twigs, missing teeth, sandy blood, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Noodle

🍒 Fullblooms are the regular tiny Fern size, but their Arie side still wants them to be long and lithe... As a result, these guys seem to only naturally grow into one morph: the longest one
🍒 This mix's leafy manes are actually itty bitty bushes, sticks and all!

HannahBug

Wildmane-Mix.png172: Wildmane Mix: Pantan + regular

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the regular guide
Anatomy differences > The ears are a rounded shape with short fuzz. The fangs are always out. The mane is oddly short at this age and there's very fine fuzz around the whole of the neck (shown via a color tint in this image). This mane grows at the Pann rate, except the velvety patch - that stays the same. The paws are a touch large and all the finger pads are connected in an elongated, rounded rectangle shape. There's a small tail tuft that's a bit smushed by the baby fin
Color differences > Color the mane and tail with a lighter or darker version of the base color. The close-cropped part of the mane can be a lowered opacity version of this color or tiny hairs of the mane color depending on your stubby-hair-style. The belly color can be any warm color (orange, pink, etc)
Baby stuff > Baby fin, optional belly color tingeing
Description form > No change. This mix is warm-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the regular design rules (or Pann, they're the same)
Matures out of > Baby fin and belly color tingeing (the tail tuft will look more normal and less squished now)
Description form > Include a "favorite thing to pounce on" and/or "art type: field. Also add a "color method used" field!

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Baby camo, bedhead, chubby, color points, drowsiness, elbow tufts, growth spurt, missing teeth, patchy mane, puffball spikes, blotches, fin shreds, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Matures into > The mane will have reached full size, which is quite large! Note that the short fuzz around the neck doesn't grow, staying tiny and velvety
Default morphs > Yoyo, cubby, joey, fae, and reach

🍒 Wildmanes are about half a foot bigger than your average keke throughout their whole lives. Beware of big pounces...!
🍒 These guys are known to be upper body static monsters. The combo of neck velvet and that big mane can make a blanket-based nightmare

HannahBug

Emo-Mix.png173: Emo Mix: Pantan + Goober

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Pann guide
Anatomy differences > The mouth closes normally, so the big fangs probably won't be showing. The mane is in the usual place for keke. Add a hair tuft and big feathering that covers the paws. All added hair (tuft, feathering, mane) and the fur inside the ears, is made up of small goop strands, giving it a strange, slimly texture. There is no tail tuft. The mane and head tuft grow at the regular rate for Panns through the mix's whole life
Color differences > The goop follows Goober goo rules (it can be faded into the base like shown or have a solid edge). Belly color may be any fully desaturated white, grey, or black. The base may be any color
Baby stuff > Baby sail (accent or belly color)
Description form > Include a "blood type" and "obtained through" field. Blood may be warm or cold and is unrelated to belly scale color

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Pann design rules
Matures out of > Baby fin
Description form > Include a "favorite thing to pounce on" and/or "art type" field. Also add a "color method used" field!

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Baby camo, bedhead, chubby, color points, drowsiness, elbow tufts, growth spurt, missing teeth, patchy mane, puffball spikes, oil layer, sail shreds, sharp things, slippery scales, waterfall mane

🌿 Adult:
Matures into > The mane and head tuft will have reached their full size! The mane isn't too exceptional (a bit bigger than average), but the hair tuft will have fallen over one eye, hence the mix's name
Default morphs > Yoyo, cubby, joey, fae, goblin, and reach

HannahBug

Mohawk-Mix.png174: Mohawk Mix: Pantan + Shiny

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Shiny guide
Anatomy differences > The fangs are always out. Remove the head disk(s) and instead add a short mane of that starts at the forehead and replaces the neck mane. The tail bell shrinks and a tail tuft sprouts from it. The paw pads are big, connected rectangles like Panns have. The mane will grow at the regular rate for Panns through the mix's whole life
Color differences > The new mane and tail tip follow the Shiny metal guide. The belly scales and mouth/tongue will be any warm color (red, orange, etc)
Baby stuff > Optional belly color tingeing
Description form > Include a "blood type" and field. This mix is warm-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Pann design rules (or Shiny, they're the same)
Matures out of > Belly color tingeing
Description form > Include a "favorite thing to pounce on" and/or "art type" field. Also add a "color method used" field!

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Baby camo, bedhead, chubby, color points, drowsiness, elbow tufts, growth spurt, missing teeth, puffball spikes, bell cluster, blotches, glamorous hair, glimmering accents, mismatched metal, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Matures into > The mane and head tuft will have reached their full size, which is quite large!
Default morphs > Yoyo, cubby, joey, fae, goblin, reach, silverback, and hoardmaster

🍒 Mohawks' gold or silver hair is very light and delicate, but still made of metal! It feels fluffier than you would expect and is not at all pokey. It is very prone to bending, though...

HannahBug

Wildchild-Mix.png175: Wildchild Mix: Pantan + Plumie

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Pann guide
Anatomy differences > Replace the mane and tail tuft with feathers in place of fur! These will grow at the regular rate for Panns through the mix's whole life. Add big feather tufts to the tips of the ears and replace the arms with Plumie wings. Weirdly, the Pantan paws will remain on the inner side of these wings
Color differences > The added feathers (and inner ear fluff), may be any color, but must all be the same color. The accent color may optionally tip the ear and tail tuft feathers. The belly color must be a warm color (red, pink, etc)
Baby stuff > None
Description form > No change. This mix may be cold or warm-blooded

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Plumie or  Pann design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > Include a "favorite thing to pounce on" and/or "art type" field. Also mention which sub's color method you're using! Include a "color method used" field if using the Pann rules

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Baby camo, bedhead, chubby, color points, drowsiness, elbow tufts, growth spurt, missing teeth, patchy mane, puffball spikes, blotches, dorsal feathers, downy plumage, fan tail, feather crest, keratin formations

🌿 Adult:
Matures into > The mane and tail tuft will have reached their full size, which is quite large!
Default morphs > Yoyo, cubby, roostling, cygnest, and broodlett

🍒 Wildchildren are large, even if they grow into the smaller Plumie morphs...! They're horrible giant boulders capable of hurtling through the sky
🍒 True to their name, the combination of energetic Plumies and active Panns makes this mix an incredible unstoppable force. They even need less sleep than you're average keke! Granted, it's a couple hours less, but nursery caretakers will tell you that it matters

HannahBug

Bloof-Mix.png176: Bloof Mix: Pantan + Fawnette

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Fawn guide
Anatomy differences > The already fluffy baby mane wraps fully around the neck. Both it and the head tuft are slightly larger than normal. The entire mix is covered with a coat of fur (no longer than 4"). Add a tail tuft and fur inside the ears. The pouches are on the cheeks, but they're thin ovals, like you've only moved the regular Fawn pouches down and on their sides. Strangely, this mix has one hoof and one paw. The paw lacks pads. The mane, head tuft, and tail tuft will grow at the regular rate for Panns through the mix's whole life
Color differences > The base may be any natural mammal color (grey, brown, cream, etc) or any warm color (red, yellow, etc). The same goes for the belly color. The mane and head/tail tuft must be a darker or lighter version of the base color
Baby stuff > Baby spot and optional mane color tingeing
Description form > No change. This mix is warm-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Fawn or  Pann design rules
Matures out of > N/A
Description form > A "favorite thing to pounce on" field is optional. Please mention which sub's color method you're using! Include a "color method used" field if using the Pann rules. Can still participate in the Rite of Passage and earn a band

🌿 Youth:
This mix skips the youth phase!

🌿 Adult:
Matures into > The mane and head/tail tuft will have reached their full size, which is quite large! So much so that this mix is lucky to not have the hair obscuring the eyes. A tail blade that matches the accent color grows within the tail fluff, which may not be visible in there, depends on the angle and hair thickness
Default morphs > Yoyo, cubby, common, and regal
Misc > Can still participate in Feats and earn a hair style

🍒 "Bloof" is a mashing together of "big" and "floof", of which this mix has plenty
🍒 Fawns like hair, but gosh this is a lot... It's not wildly out of the question for hatchlings to be allowed to earn a band early so that that mess can be contained! (Not just flavor text, hatchlings can earn a band if desired)

HannahBug

Cub-Mix.png177: Cub Mix: Pantan + Subterfewege

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Pann guide
Anatomy differences > Remove the ear fluff and visible inner ears so that the ears are just rounded shapes. Also remove the eyes and "real" cheek pouches (they'll just be outlines on the face now). The mane is curly wool and already at a medium length. Add a hair tuft and wool that goes up the backsides of the arms. Also add a belly mouth with exaggerated fangs like those on the face. All of the wool (head, neck, arms, and tail) will grow at the regular rate for Panns for the mix's whole life
Color differences > Wool (head, neck, arms, and tail) may be any color, but must all be the same color. The cheek pouches will be the same color as the base, as they're only outlines
Baby stuff > Baby face (may be its own color - does not have a mouth marking) and optional mane color tingeing
Description form > Include a "blood type" field. This mix is warm-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Ewe or  Pann design rules
Matures out of > Baby face and mane color tingeing
Description form > Include a "favorite thing to pounce on" and/or "flavor type" field. Also mention which sub's color method you're using! Include a "color method used" field if using the Pann rules

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Baby camo, bedhead, chubby, color points, drowsiness, elbow tufts, growth spurt, missing teeth, patchy mane, puffball spikes, arm puffs, back plates, bone disks, drip wools, half-face

🌿 Adult:
Matures into > The mane, head tuft, arm fluff, and tail tuft will have reached their full size, which is quite large!
Default morphs > Yoyo, cubby, joey, fae, reach, and goblin

🍒 Cub mixes are simply notorious for biting the other kids. Why would one be given giant fangs if not to use them!
🍒 Both of a Cub's mouths are fully functional. Babies commonly overeat because they're able to shove double the food in their little bodies. It is not wise to leave them unobserved at dinner...

Softcrest-Mix.png178: Softcrest Mix: Pantan + Pterrur

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Rur guide
Anatomy differences > The crest is fuzzy! The ears have a visible fuzzy inside and the arms below the elbows have fluff on the backsides of them. The tail tip also has a little bit of extra hair (though not really a full tuft). The wing membranes stop a little before or at the elbows, being only short paddles
Color differences > The inner ear fluff can match the crest or the membrane color. The base and membranes can be any color, not just brown
Baby stuff > Baby fin, optional belly color tingeing
Description form > No change. This mix may be cold or warm-blooded

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Pann design rules
Matures out of > Baby fin, belly color tingeing
Matures into > The crest will sprout a head tuft, which will go alongside whatever the crest develops into
Description form > Include a "favorite thing to pounce on" and/or "art type" field. Also include a "color method used" field

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Baby camo, bedhead, chubby, color points, drowsiness, elbow tufts, growth spurt, missing teeth, patchy mane, puffball spikes, blotches, boomanana crest, dual crest, fin shreds, fork crest, mountain crest, plow crest, tower crest

🌿 Adult:
Matures into > The crest-head-tuft will have grown to its full size, which is quite long!
Default morphs > Yoyo, cubby, Saur, saurus, and saurling

🍒 It's fairly obvious by looking at them that Softcrests aren't really meant to fly. However, they may achieve brief lift with some comically furious flapping
🍒 Don't be fooled by that layer of velvet that grows atop the crest - those things can still pack quite the punch!

Filthy-Little-Gremlin-Mix.png179: Filthy Little Gremlin Mix: Pantan + Superior

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Pann guide
Anatomy differences > Add a head tuft. The mane in the back is about medium length already, but the rest of the mane is still short (with optional random patches of longer hair). The outside edges of the ears are fluffier than usual towards the bottom. The head tuft, mane, and tail tuft will grow at the regular rate for Panns through the mix's whole life
Color differences > The head tuft will match the color of the mane. The belly scales may be any fully desaturated black, grey, or white
Baby stuff > Optional belly color tingeing or mane color tingeing
Description form > No change. This mix may be cold or warm-blooded

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Soup or Pann design rules
Matures out of > May remove tingeing if desired, but it can also be kept!
Matures into > The fuzz on the bottom of the ears continues to grow into red panda-like tufts
Description form > Include a "favorite thing to pounce on" and/or "art type" field. Please mention which sub's color rules you're using! Include a "color method used" field if using Panns' rules

🌿 Youth:
Usable youth upgrades > Baby camo, bedhead, chubby, color points, drowsiness, elbow tufts, growth spurt, missing teeth, patchy mane, puffball spikes, blotches, color points, glamorous hair, short stature

🌿 Adult:
Matures into > The head tuft, mane, lower ear fluff, and tail tip will have grown to their full size, which is quite large! The face will also be elongated slightly, but not nearly as much as a regular Soup's
Default morphs > Yoyo, cubby, joey, fae, reach, and goblin

🍒 Despite Soups total disdain, this is a pretty natural keke combination! The two subs are in an evolutionary clade and it's clear that the genetics don't have any trouble combining their traits
🍒 Yes, the mix was named by the Soups

Littlebig-Mix.png180: Littlebig Mix: Pantan + Wyrm

🌿 Hatchling:
Creation > Follow the Wyrm guide
Anatomy differences > Add a poofy mane that goes around the whole of the neck, then move the third eye into the center of that. The tail fin is fluff-shaped, but not actually fluffy. Note that the mane may get slightly larger with age, but will generally remain the same size through the mix's whole life
Color differences > The mane will be a darker or lighter version of the base color
Baby stuff > Baby fin. Optional belly color tingeing or mane color tingeing
Description form > No change. This mix is warm-blooded by default

🌿 Young:
Design > Follow the Pann design rules (or Wyrm, they're the same)
Matures out of > Belly color/mane color tingeing. The baby fin is kept!
Description form > Include a "favorite thing to pounce on" and/or "art type" field. Include a "color method used" field as well

🌿 Youth:
Matures into > A second, smaller pair of arms will sprout behind the main set. These are initially small and will grow to their (still reduced) full size at adulthood
Usable youth upgrades > Baby camo, bedhead, chubby, color points, drowsiness, elbow tufts, growth spurt, missing teeth, patchy mane, puffball spikes, bad eyesight, blotches, fused blindness, mini munchkin, sticky arms, warped eye

🌿 Adult:
Default morphs > Yoyo, cubby, minskin, and pod

🍒 The morphs this mix can grow into are drastically different in size, but don't be fooled. Yoyo and cubby are comically reduced to a more Wyrm-sized size. They may be slightly taller than minskin and pod, but that doesn't mean the Wyrms aren't fuming
