Ask a question to the above person's OC

Posted 7 years, 7 months ago (Edited 6 years, 10 months ago) by Amvira varkarrus

So it'll go like this: A person posts a question to the above user's OC. Then, after a new person posts a question, the first person edits their post to have an answer.

Something like

Person A: (posts a question to the above person)

Person B: Does (person A) like cupcakes?

then Person A edits their post so it's like

Person A: (posts a question to the above person)
I do like cupcakes!

Person B: Does (person A) like cupcakes?

Person C: Could (person B) defeat Goku in a fight?

then

Person A: (posts a question to the above person)
I do like cupcakes!

Person B: Does (person A) like cupcakes?
No, I absolutely could not take Goku on in a fight, have you seen that guy?

Person C: Could (person B) defeat Goku in a fight?

EDIT: Try and ask questions that lead to the development of characters!

EDIT2: Cant believe this needs to be said, but make your posts legible!!!!

EDIT3: Also. Read the person's profile before you ask a question!
Follow these rules or I'll implement a banlist!

I'll edit this post to include a response to the next person's question, once somebody posts!

(re: "Do you enjoy sitting in a garden to relax?")
"A garden? Pfeh! What kind of pansy-ass garbage is that? Lemme tell you how I relax! A warm, musty couch, some snacks, and video games! Hah!" ((But to be honest, she might enjoy just lounging around under a tree on a hot day))

(ooc) Have your eyes always been extremely sensitive to the light, or is it something that developed only later on?
Also, given you have lived so long, is there something, an event or something similar in particular you look back to with a lot of fondness?

"I haven't, and I don't have any intentions to commit such a deed either: turned werewolves are, most often, rather dysfunctional, and many can't stand the pain of transformation. Us purebloods get used to it and we're mentally prepared for that since childhood, but for humans it's often more than they can handle without hurting themselves.

As for that... There have been a couple of unfortunate accidents I deeply regret, but nothing too dangerous: everyone is still alive with all their limbs attached, and nobody has been turned.

Once, I... I almost bit Nicholas when we first met, when he jumped at me and I got startled. And when I was in middle school and living in the dormitories, I once scratched another student when he was trying to help me....Unpleasant memories, for sure."

Dragon PicklePantry

"H-H-Have you e-ever m-made anyone a w-w-werewolf? O-Or h-have you e-ever accid-dentally hurt a f-friend d-during a full m-moon?"

Dragon stays quiet for a moment, fidgeting with his thumbs as his eyes turn from green to purple. "I-I just d-didn't want to b-be a m-monster, b-b-but I th-thought m-my h-human f-form was normal." He pauses again and sniffs. There's a glassy sheen in his now golden eyes. "I-I-I'm n-not normal...?" His mouth purses into a moving squiggly as he erupts into tears.

Harry Shearer themilksnake

Have you ever wished you were normal? Or do you embrace your hidden savageness?

There's a certain type of personality that tends to be annoyed by how I present myself, and other types that try to get me to act "normal". I try to steer clear of those types.

Martha Chamberlain SnowyCheetah

Do you ever use your ability to read personalities to try to establish what someone's perception of you is? Did it work, or was it accurate?

"There have been times where I wish I could return to my old work. The money was good, and it was exciting. But that was before I got my current job. The comfortable salary and safe work environment are worth the change."

Demo Databuffer

"Has there ever been any points in  your life in which you wish to go back to your previous profession? Or are you completely comfortable with your current place in life?"

Flerovium lets out a soft sigh, and rests his head in his hands. "I'm not one who's all that much interested in poetry enough to attribute plants, or animals to myself. It is a hobby with no practical application, and frankly a waste of time in my opinion..." He states, he was oddly bored with the domesticity of the question, yes. It was trivial, but interesting nonetheless. He continued after the pause, despite his criticism.

"However.. functionality-wise, I could see myself being represented by a pitcher plant. Alien, and alarming in appearance, but people are drawn in nonetheless by the sickly sweet lure it sets. It draws people in, pulls them close with promise of food, and shelter, or perhaps just plain curiosity. However by the time they realize its a trap, it has already sprung. They are helpless, stuck, and forced to wait for their inevitable death... Let to fester in their regret, with escape within reach, but impossible to achieve..." He gave a shallow chuckle, tilting his head, to almost rest on its side. "Is that poetry enough for you?"

Rose Caine

(ooc) If you had to choose a flower to represent or describe you, what would it be? Would you choose it based on looks / colour / cultural associations / flower meanings or something else entirely?

"My human parents... Are long gone now," Rose replied slowly. "I never talked to them after my burial so I'll never know how they would have thought of me, but I did see them once afterwards, 20 years later. As I passed my old home town while travelling, I took a peek at night through the kitchen window.

They were both still alive and seemed to do well. My dog was gone though, but it was to be expected: we usually outlive our pets, human or not.

My parents had a framed picture of me on their wall. I felt so sad I could no longer be there, and I ran away.

10 years from there, I wrote them a letter, because I still felt so sorry for them. I didn't attach my own address though, so I never received a letter back, and I preferred it that way. I can't go back to them anymore and I don't want to pretend like I can, but I wanted them to know... that I'm doing alright.

Piperine reinapepiada

(OOC) Have you heard anything about your family after you were buried? Assuming they're still alive, how do you think they'd react knowing the state in which you are right now?

She giggles a bit. "You know the common belief that if your feet are out of the bedsheets when you're sleeping, the monster will get you? Well, at least half of my body sticks out of any normal sized bed when I tried to sleep on one. So, imagine the danger I had been in!" she's not taking this very seriously, but then again, a witch would know about this, right?

"I tried making a bed big enough for me but I didn't want to risk it! And everyone knows hammocks can trap and confuse bed monsters, it defies most of their strategies. And they're much more portable, too. I didn't have to worry about anything and I could sleep peacefully. And they look great in my home, there's something satisfying about hanging things." she laughs.

Nikolai Byko PicklePantry

"Tell me, dearie, why do you prefer hammocks over furniture? I'm all for the occasional hammock, but I would DIE without my California king bed."

"Mmm, it's a bit of both, quite frankly," Nikolai muses. "Sloth is his own being, and he enjoys chiming in inside my mind time to time. There are even occasions where he can possess me, though nobody can really tell since we're so alike. As for the job portion, I do get a form of payment out of it. The more people I convince to be lazy, the more I get paid. It's quite easy to do thanks to technology. Have you seen those chairs with fridges built into them, darling? Marvelous things, really."

 Himari SweetasSaccharine

"So... What's it like being a host to a deadly sin? Are you a demon now or something?" The girl said, looking at him inquisitively, "Is it like a job? Or just a thing you live with?"

-----------------------------------------------------

"Oh? This old thing?" She takes it off and fiddles with it. "Nah, but sometimes it's a bit inconvenient. I wear it because I don't like my red eye. It's kinda gross looking to me."

[ooc] What's the story behind the rose in her eye/mouth? Does it hurt?

Nicxan

"Oh, about, mm, ten, twelve hours I'd say. Port's back here." He taps the plate on the back of his head. "Don't have to do that often though. Nah, the, ah, limiting factor here isn't energy, it's sleep. Rest keeps us stable. Think of it as a sort of cognitive defrag. Once, I tried to stay up for a whole month to prove the journals wrong. Got hallucinations -- and not the fun kind -- by the fifth day and collapsed on the seventh."

Keelan Moure docmyers

[OOC] What's Hank's favorite food? Or his least favorite?

"Well, mostly things like Shadow flame and conjuration. I... have many limitations. My illness makes it hard for me to do any strong protection spells. I can hardly keep up a barrier for longer than a few minutes before everything starts to hurt and if I continue... I can pass out or worse." Keelan fixes his glasses a bit. "I have... many limitations but the magic I use varies. My family is naturally magical, to the point of not doing any being deadly." He sighs, a little tired today. That seems to be all he'll say...

Jonathan Linden Caine

What kind of magic do you use, exactly? How does it manifest and what kind of limitations it has, if any?

I have a vague idea, at least: it's not like I'm the strongest guy around or anything. Rather,I'd say it's more about me being unable to control my body sometimes to use my strength accordingly, than not like knowing my limits per se. Like when I hug my sister I'm always scared I might put too much force into it without realizing because the way my body is feels... weird, almost like it's not mine but still kind of is. I guess that's what puberty is."

Naria Kaneko YunaNoire

So, when it comes to that strength of yours, do you know your limits at all? Have you tested to see just what you can and cannot do with that strength? Even if you can't necessarily control it, it'd be a good idea to know what you can and can't do.

I'll answer this OOC since it's something that Naria doesn't actually know or understand herself.

Her nightmares come as a result of witnessing 'The Devil's Code', which is what her 'Devil Summoner' application is built upon. Akaneko gave her a jumbled version of 'The Devil Code', but it was only after she reassembled the code that she began to have hellish visions in her sleep. The code itself was created by a demon lord, so it has a strong demonic energy to it. It's this energy that not only allows the application to do what it does in the first place, but witnessing it is sure to have some sort of effect on a person.

However, 'The Devil's Code' is not to blame for the drastic shifts in morality found in her family. Naria assumes it's something to do with Akaneko, but she doesn't know for sure. While I haven't worked this part out fully as of yet, the real culprits at least have something to do with Akaneko's true motives...

OOC // What specifically is causing her nightmares and the changes in her family? Akaneko? Another demon? Or something else?

"They do not mind! I think, they do perhaps feel some loneliness, since I am not in the city as often. I work in the mountains to the northwest. In general? I believe I don't meet with enough people to say. I have not yet found anyone who would -- who would -- know of this? I was not very infamous when I was working within Domain."
