What role would the above OC play in a video game?

Just as the title says, this is a game where you take a look at the oc above your post and come up with the role they might play in a video game!

Here are a few things to remember while you're playing:

  • I shouldn't have to say this more than once, but please be respectful of one another.
  • Put some effort into what you're going to say. I'm sure that the other person will appreciate it!
  • If you're going to write something rather long, you may want to claim the post above you, just in case.
  • You can post once for every other three posts. If the thread hasn't moved in 24 hours, you may post before this.
  • NEW ** As of February 27th, please be sure to write more than one sentence. We want to see your imagination run!
  • NEW ** Also as of February 27th, make sure to give the character's profile a read - it helps in forming your assumption of their role! It also shows that you've thought about your answer, and everyone appreciates it. If there isn't anything to their profile and they merely have visuals, disregard this. :)

But how do I play?

  • Though this game might seem somewhat difficult, it's actually quite the opposite!
  • All you have to do is look at the above oc and come up with their role in a video game.
  • Here are some questions you might want to ask yourself if you're stumped: "Are they a protagonist, antagonist, NPC, boss, party member, etc? What genre of video game might they belong in? Do they have any particular movesets? Do they serve a special purpose? Do they do something special in-game?"

Here's an example:

  • Person 1: What kind of video game character would characterA be?
  • Person 2: They look really buff and strong-willed, so they might be the protagonist! I could see them in some fantasy setting, like a noble knight trying to save a princess or something? They look like they could carry around really heavy weapons, and can pack a punch, so I'd say they're the heavy-hitter of the team.

Murasaki seems like she'd be a party member you can recruit really early in the game, and takes some time and effort to train up, but once she gets to a high enough level and unlocks some of her more advanced abilities, she becomes almost OP!

Since Tashtumar is a merchant, maybe a shopkeeper?

Cyrus looks like he'd be a really useful NPC, maybe one that guides a character in the beginning with how the controls work, as well as perhaps emotional support through out the story. He might have a tragic end that turns the tide in the favor of the hero. Or maybe he has a lot of important info somewhere in the middle of game and is later crucial to a long side quest that takes the player through a series to tasks and trades to obtain an important object that'll give them the upper hand in a battle against the boss.

HMM
Mechnikov seems like that one character who starts off as an NPC, where you run into him while doing missions or see him in a few cutscenes. But then he joins your party and spends most of the time talking about himself during fights. I can see him in a JRPG kinda game, or maybe even a fighter game like Street Fighter.

Smiley is definitely an NPC boss character one way or another. I don't think he'd be like a final boss or storyline-important boss though. I kind of see him as being a typical 'Villager NPC' at first but then later during a sidequest where you can read, like, a diary (think True Lab from Undertale) about how he came to be who he is today, he appears and totally surprises the player as the boss of that area. He'd definitely be one of the toughest bosses of the game with his nigh-immortality, but he'd probably give some very rewarding loot at the end of the sidequest. And of course, his last words would be "Always be happy, and don't forget to smile!" once finally defeated.

Maverick Dohmalore

He would....definitely be the 'bad boy' option in a dating sim.  Probably a very dark/explicit dating sim.  Either that or a very creepy optional miniboss in some out-of-the-way haunted house in an adventure game.

Maverick seems like he would be a sort of quasi-shopkeeper? Like, in exchange for some kind of special currency apart from money, he would impart buffs on the party, or summon temporary "thrall" party members, or other such things? He'd be super out of the way to get to, and he wouldn't be the most agreeable sort (and would probably require the heroes to complete some sort of long quest before he would even agree to help out), but he's ultimately super helpful.

Bonus points if he ends up actually being recruited close to the end of the game and ends up being hella powerful.
