✍️ Write based on the line prompt above

Posted 6 years, 10 months ago (Edited 5 years, 4 months ago) by Caine

This game is very similar to Respond to the prompt above you. In this game, however, the prompts are random lines, such as "What do you think you're doing?" and "Do you need help?" instead of questions or scenarios.
Your response should be in the form of short story / flash fiction!

How it works:

  1. Claim your post so you won't get ninja'd! It'd suck to lose all the writing you did just because someone wrote & posted faster than you!
  2. Edit your post and respond to the line given to you. You need to include the line in your story, but otherwise you have free hands to interpret it as you like. The response should be in the form of short story / flash fiction.
  3. At the end of your post, make sure to give the next person a line as well! Make sure the line is not too specific or restricting so the thread won't get stuck.

Rules:

  • Keep it PG13!
  • Use the spoiler function if your post is very long! It'll be easier for others to scroll down if they aren't met with a wall of text
  • Make sure to post IC so people will know which character you're using in the prompt & they can potentially check it out!
  • YOU CAN RESPOND AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE like you don't need to wait for a certain amount of people to reply until you're allowed to.
  • Honestly this thread is so dead that anarchy reigns and if you don't fill your claim it's not the end of the world, as long as you provide a line for the next user

Example:

Line: "What do we have here?"

Reply: "What do we have here?" the man asked with a repulsive smile on his face. He had tied Xavier up while he was unconscious, and was now pointing at him with a supposedly loaded gun - Xavier had no intentions to take a risk and believe the gun was fake. "Not so smart anymore, huh? Looks like foxes aren't all that clever after all!"

"I'm not a fox!" Xavier hissed.

"That should be the least of your concerns right now, given your current situation," the man laughed, but his gun was still pointing at the detective.

Here is a line for the first:

"I'm never going to do that again, I swear!"

HeroofEnelios

Characters: Riy Veilheart / Celeste Araa / Renne Araa (mentioned)

"If you were looking for a good moment, that was it." Both knights watched as the Fenrir noble disappeared into the throngs of people in the capital. Celeste poked at Riy with this jab, the female knight sporting a knowing grin. Her male companion on the other hand hung his head in disappointment after missing the opportunity to ask Renne.

"Probably won't get another chance, will I?" He asked in a low voice, to which Celeste shook her head and put a hand to her hip as she scanned the crowd.

"Not likely. This is a festival for her to get to know the people. She's going to be busy for the rest of the night." She told him firmly. Hearing this, Riy sighed heavily and crossed his arms with a frown as he too began to watch the gathering of people in the streets. Crystal lanterns shone on the cobblestone pathways, and the pure white snowflakes that drifted down from above casted a ethereal glow when caught in the light. For the two knights, it certainly was beautiful to see.

"I don't want to take her away from something she loves doing." Riy said with a small smile, prompting Celeste to look his way and arch a brow. "I said I will stand by her and that won't change. But perhaps now might not be the best time to-" Before the young knight got a chance to finish what he was saying, Renne unexpectedly popped out of the crowd with an eager smile and approached the two knights.

"Riy come with me for a second!" She didn't wait for the youth to respond before grabbing him by the wrist and pulling back towards the crowd with her. He let out a flurry of startled protests and looked back at Celeste, who shot him another knowing smirk as she watched it happen. She mouthed the words 'have fun', then turned on her head and headed off somewhere else into the streets.

"R-Renne what's going on?" When Riy asked, the noble passed a cheery grin over his shoulder and laughed.

"You'll see. It wouldn't be fun if I told you would it?"

"Where have you been? Do you realize what time it is?"

teddiebearie

Characters: Rowena Wolfe / Mavis Wolfe

        "Where have you been? Do you realize what time it is?" As soon as Rowena had opened the front door, a frowning, strange man had greeted them. He had light brown, messy hair and equally brown eyes, and it took Mavis and Rowena a few seconds to realise this was their mother's current boyfriend.

        Rowena blinked, the same emotionless expression plastered onto her face as she answered, "Yes? It's currently eleven at night."

        The man's frown deepened as he sighed, before seeming to relax a bit. He glanced disaprovingly at the twins, causing Mavis to shy away from him and step behind Rowena as if to hide behind her. Rowena's hand reached behind her and grabbed onto Mavis', reassuring her that nothing bad was going to happen to her.

        "So, where have you two been? Do you have any idea how worried we were?" the man continued, crossing his arms and looking in the other direction.

        "We?" Rowena questioned. She could only assume he was reffering to their mother, but she was fairly sure their mother would have come to the front door to rat them out. It didn't make much sense for her to care; after all, she hadn't for the past ten years.

        "Your mother and I," replied the man once again, sighing again before leaning against the doorframe, before repeating himself for the third time. "Where have you been?"

        "It couldn't be helped," Rowena spoke up, seemingly completely careless. "We were investigating the dissapearances of some of the students."

        The man sighed yet again, slapping his hand over his face. "That's police work, don't be silly. What could you possibly do?"

        "Actually, the police are insisting that they ran away from home, but chances are they didn't. We simply wanted to prove that." Rowena mentioned, her face completely serious, taking on a slightly grim expression. It wasn't hard for Mavis to tell that she was taking the situation very seriously, but it might have been hard for others.

        And it was at that moment that Mavis knew just how much this situation ment to Rowena.

"Stop, it's been a week. You can't cry over your favourite character's death forever."

Simon Beck-Layton crownines

Featuring Chet and Simon!

"Stop, it's been a week. You can't cry over your favourite character's death forever."

Simon observed Chet with a confused look, watching as his new friend still seemed to be grieving for the death of his favourite character from that one TV show he seemed to enjoy. Sure, he had been Chet's favourite character for a while - and he was pretty sure that he had a crush on the guy playing him, too - but the character was a villain as far as Simon was aware. Granted, he was out of the loop about the show so there was the possibility he was wrong, but he was originally a villain at least. The fact that his friend was still torn about it this long after finding out was somewhat concerning, considering that it was a fictional character and all.

"He was totally awesome though. He was too good, and he died to save them all.... He died to save them all, Si. I can't," groaned Chet, grabbing the nearest pillow and pushing his face into it. He had been so in love with that character's development, and that fact that he had died in such a way destroyed him.

Somewhat hesitant, Simon took a seat next to Chet on their couch, and rested an arm around his roommate's shoulder. "C'mon, you need to get over it. Who knows, maybe they'll find a way to bring him back? Wouldn't be the first time a character came back," Simon said, in an attempt to soothe his pained friend. Pulling his face out the pillow with a sniffle, Chet's gaze fell to the floor. "Guess you have a point there," he mumbled, letting out a small chuckle. There was always that possibility - The fact he hadn't thought of it sooner was shameful. There was still a chance for him to return after all. Glad to see his friend's relief, Simon used his free hand to ruffle up the Chet's hair. With a small grin, he reached over to a table near the sofa and lifted up a boxset.

"That's more like it. Now then - Maybe we can start the next season, finally?"

"I didn't think you were stupid enough to do that."

teddiebearie

Characters: Aca Pandev / Marianna Pak / Darin Song
once again posting ooc bc there's multiple characters

        "I didn't think you were stupid enough to do that." Aca sighed, reminding himself to breathe in and out. It was not hard to notice that he was upset and just barely controlling himself, but he really couldn't help it. Marianna had messed up, and big time this time.

        It was no mystery that Marianna slipped up a lot, but it was mostly just miniscule things, such as changing fake last names or other pure dumb things, but she has really blown one of Aca's fuses this time.

        And then she had the nerve to laugh snottily in his face.

        "Sorry?" she laughed out, the grin on her face similar to that of a gremlin's face. "It wasn't even my fault, so? I don't really see the issue here? Darin's messed up before, but she hasn't gotten earfuls like this before?"

        "That's not the issue here!" Aca shouted, punching the wall next to him, resulting in nothing more than scrapes on his knuckles. "You messed up! We could be in serious trouble now!"

        "Oh, relax." Marianna rolled her eyes and checked out her nails, the grin having been replaced by a smirk. "Besides, I made sure there wasn't any trace left, relax? Seriously, why're you so rude? Aca sounds like a girl's name, by the way. Wouldn't you rather go by Ace, or something?"

        "Oh?" Aca's eyebrow rose as he turned in her direction, staring at her questionably. Then it hit him, blowing another one of his fuses. "How dare you call my name a girl's name? What do you think I am, a magical girl of some s––"

        "––ort, yes!" Darin stepped into the room, clapping her hands together and smiling, her eyes closed. "Magical girls are fabulous, don't you think so, Aca?"

        "Oh, um..." Aca lost his composure, coughing into his hand. "I suppose so, yes."

        Marianna snorted, the nasty grin back on her face. "Totally not bias, nope, not at all. Definitively no favoritism."

        "Shut up!" Aca roared, his frown intensifying. He took a deep breath, attempting to calm himself. "What did you do?"

        "Oh?" Marianna's eyebrow rose up, her grin turning into a smug smirk. "What's this? Now you're interested?"

        "Spit it out." Aca's frown deepened, growling lightly. He was not appreciating this behavior from Marianna, but really, did he ever?

        "Well..." Marianna began, her eyes rolling upwards to the ceiling. Her smirk widened as she continued, "They're currently missing a ceiling, you could say."

"You're... joking, right? Please tell me you're joking."

Tentative Oneiroi

Also with Atlas

"You're... joking, right? Please tell me you're joking."

Sylveste didn't think Atlas understood the concept of a joke to begin with. It was a foreign language to him, something of which he only had a tenebrous understanding of.

Yet Sylveste still held onto the tiny sliver of hope that yes, he was joking.

Atlas said nothing. He was fantastic at avoiding eye contact. He lowered his head slightly as if the shame was a physical weight upon him, eyes fixed on an uninteresting whorl in the table.

Sylveste wanted to do a thousand things to him at once. Throw him into the ocean, throttle him, light his little tea collection on fire and revel in the smell of burning dreams. He especially liked the last one. Instead, he kept his hands clapsed tightly in his lap, as if he were trying to stop a creature from escaping from between them. Everything in him was tense, bracing for something. His jaw clenched, his eyes ached.

His words were clear and calm, such an antithesis to how he felt. He would not let the conversation die by being ignored. "I don't understand. Why would you be so foolish? You've endangered everything."

Atlas stood up abruptly, the movement surprised Sylveste. He jolted as if shocked.

"I've endangered nothing." Atlas said, his voice low. Somehow, it would have been better if he'd yelled instead. Uncontrolled emotion was less insidious than this controlled disdain, concentrated poison. "Soon, all too soon, you will realise that. It will haunt your every waking thought and the spaces between. I will not justify myself to you. You know nothing." He said the last word with such conviction, with an almost religious reverence. "Continue on this path, Sylveste, and you will know everything."

It was a threat, Sylveste realized. Keep poking at the sleeping bear and you'll get what you want. Claws and all.

No, Sylveste decided. He hadn't been joking.

"I don't understand. Why didn't you tell me?"

Adrian Kuzuryu HowlingCat

Character(s): Adrian Kuzuryu (Ryu) and Akira Kurusu (Persona 5 Protagonist)(Joker)

"I don't understand. Why didn't you tell me?"

Ryu glance over to Joker as his fingers latched onto the chest before them. The faint murmuring of the shadows in Mementos and the purring of Morgana's engine filled the silence that went through the realm.  Those dark eyes of Joker eyed the other with a look of annoyance and..concern? Noting the concern in Joker's eyes made Ryu uncomfortable to say the least. Suppressing a shudder, Ryu looked back to the chest and lifted up the chest. His eyes stared at the grimy armor pieces that rested in the container. Judging by the condition of the gear, it may take a couple of washes before the quality of the pieces would be revealed.

"I didn't think my personal life would be any of your business," Ryu grumbled. His gloved hands grabbed at the armor and stuffed them into bag.  'Hence, why it's called personal."

"Personal doesn't necessary mean private," Joker hissed. He paused, realizing he raised his voice from its hushed tone. "Ryu, I understand-"

"You don't."

"...You didn't let me finish my sentence."

Ryu inhaled softly and turn to face Joker. He frowned, noticing the male had moved close to him to the point they were only a mere inch from each other. He didn't move back, noting Joker's posture. His arms were now folded against his chest and his lips were pulled into a scowl. He was no longer in his slightly slouchy position that he often took. Oh no, the male was standing straight. The change in posture allow was enough to show how seriously he truly was and the power he held within the group being physically manifestation in his body language. It didn't take much for Ryu to realize that Joker was trying to intimidate him. Well that or get him to lower his guard. Clever bugger.

"I don't need you to finish your sentence to know what you're about to say," Ryu murmured. "I'm not Skull." He briefly glance at the van at the mention of the blond haired man.

"Then you should know why you should inform the group about what happened to her so we're ready to deal with anything that can trigg-" Joker replied.

"DO-" Ryu snarled. He bit his tongue, realizing  how much he had raised his voice from growling out that first word.  He inhaled sharply. "Do not....say that word."

Joker shifted a bit at this, briefly grimacing at his. "Anything...that doesn't cause you to react," Joker murmur, replacing that dreaded word that Ryu hated. "Ryu please. Just let us help you."

He sounded so..desperate. It hurts Ryu listening to Joker say this in that voice. The male dug his gloved nails into the palm of his hand and stared into the eyes of the male. The back of his mind pleaded him to accept the offer. It was the side of him with Ku. Ku wanted what was best for him. He wanted the male to become stronger. Opening his heart was the only way he could grow. He knew that but there was that small part of him that fought to do this by himself. The one side that tasted the juice of independence for so long.

"I'm sorry.." Ryu murmured.

He knew that Joker felt pain when he said that. He knew how much the male cared about those he considered his family and how much he was wiling to go to make them happy. Joker gritted his teeth and opened his lips to say something. He never did get that chance to finish as a sound echoed through moment. It was faint but it was enough to  cause Ryu and Joker to freeze in place. It was the sound of rattling..chains? The two snapped their eyes towards the opposite of end of the hall they ended, ignoring the shouts of the others. A floating figure was seen drifting into view.

"The Reaper...."

"Well? What happened? I want all the details!"

 Elding unused-account

"Well? What happened? I want all the details!" Elding's favorite customer was sweet, but way too nosy. She wasn't sure why she even told her about her night out, but it was better than working in silence.

"N-nothing! I just went out to get some new outfits with Lin, nothing else!" She fiddled with the broken clock, trying to hide her flusteredness. She could tell that if she could, she would be blushing.

"Both you and I know that isn't true. That was a date!~" The older woman chimed.

It wasn't a date.

Elding angrily held the tool she was using.

After all, he was dating that stupid, frilly little skank.

No.

He still thinks he's dating her.

He doesn't know how she died in an alleyway last night, bleeding out from stab wounds. And that he won't ever see her pretty little face again because of how torn and bloody I left it. And he never will know. No one will.

I've won.

"Well...maybe." The android smiled gently. "I hope so."

The woman smiled, blissfully unaware of the murderer sitting in front of her. "Good, you two deserve each other. You're the cutest lil star-crossed lovers!"

Everything was normal.

"Hey, I....never mind."

Jonathan Linden Caine

"Do you even know what you're doing?" Claude asked, arms and legs both crossed in an elegant manner while he was eyeing Jonathan from his desk chair.

"Of course I know," Jonathan replied from the other side of the window.

"I don't think you know what you're doing."

"Alright, maybe this wasn't as good of an idea as I initially thought..." the other admitted. Jonathan's upper part was outside, his arms wrapped around a tree branch that extended towards their room's window, and his lower body was indoors, his knees pushed against the wall under the window so he wouldn't fall down. All in all, his entire presence was emitting the feeling of "not really knowing how to go on from here."

"What were you even supposed to do?" Claude then asked, not sure if he should be amused, worried or completely disinterested towards whatever the heck Jonathan was doing.

"I wanted to tie a rope around the tree branch so I could put stuff inside a bucket on the ground and then use the rope to lift them all up!"

"But why?"

Jonathan would have shrugged if he literally wasn't halfway through the window.

"Don't you think it'd be exciting? On a conceptual level?"

"No?" Claude replied, raising his eyebrows. "I don't care about such things. Get back inside, this is foolish."

"Fine, fi--" Jonathan started, but at that moment he somehow twitched his body and lost his balance. He let out a panicked yelp, thinking he would now fall down for sure and crash against the ground. Falling down this kind of height head first would result in sure death, Jonathan was certain of that.

Miraculously he managed to keep his balance though, long enough to feel someone taking a hold of the back of his shirt.

"Don't you dare to do that again!" Claude growled from behind him, using the little strength he had in his arms and feet to keep Jonathan from falling.  "And why are you laughing?"

"I didn't expect you to rush to catch me, that's all," Jonathan grinned and started pulling himself back inside.

"Unreasonable I might be, but not a monster!" Claude replied and finally let go of his roommate's shirt.

"That was my last cake!"

Nikolai Byko PicklePantry

"That was my last cake!" Bethany whined as she helplessly watched it get bitten by her boyfriend. It was a small red velvet cake that came out for a limited time, and she stocked up on as many as she could hold.

"So sorry, darling, but you made it sound oh-so delectable. Mmm! I can see you were right," Nikolai purred as he scooped another piece into his mouth, giving her a teasing wink. Bethany sank in her seat. He always did this, taking her stuff or making her get something for him. It was annoying! And he'd only wave his hand dismissively if she tried to tell him. Yet here she was, still with him, living a happy life with that slob. Why? It was like he took advantage of her sometimes! Like he didn't even see her as-

"Staring off into space now, are we?" Nikolai mused, snapping Bethany out of her thoughts. She blinked then looked at the fork held out to her, or more the piece of cake attached to it.

"Come now, dearie. This slice is far too big for either of us to eat alone. Let's share it, hmm? Now say, "Aah"," the man grinned.

Bethany blushed and opened her mouth, getting fed the cake. She couldn't help but make a small moan at the explosion of flavors she had dreamt about. Frosting and cream cheese wrapped around the soft, moist red velvet like a Christmas present! Nikolai laughed, reminding Bethany that whatever noise she had made he had heard. She covered her mouth and blushed brighter than earlier.

"You make such charming noises for food and never for me. Goodness, you'll make me jealous," he chuckled as he fed her another piece. He reached out with a napkin and lightly wiped away the crumbs and stray icing. "My, my, look at the mess you keep making," he muttered, watching her pursed lips closely. He leaned in and gave her a soft kiss then leaned back, grinning as he took a bite of the cake, leaving Bethany stupefied. One minute he's annoying, and the next he's romantic. Sometimes she wasn't sure she'd ever understand him.

"Stop, dammit! I said STOP!"

Minnie Spark tobitaka

Minnie and Pennie

"Stop damn it!" Minnie seemed to finally have enough, yet that warning didn't seem like it was enough. So, she had to repeat herself, seeing as the person she was speaking to didn't listen. "I said, stop!" Her sister just always thought she could tell her how to live her life and what to do. Today was not going to be that day.

Pennie only raised an eyebrow, folding her arms. "What am I doing, Minnie? I'm just telling you how you should do your..." She gestured Minnie overall with a hand, "Your everything! You're a complete mess!"

"What about me is a mess? The fact that I have a different style than you? The fact that I don't function the exact same as you?" Minnie slapped her hand away, "Oh, Minnie! Don't do this! Don't do that! But remember to do this! And do that!" She spoke in a shrill voice, as an attempt to mock Pennie's. "God, Minnie, you're such a freak! Minnie nobody's gonna like you if you dress like that!" She moved her arms in a dramatic fashion, to aid her mocking. "Oh! Look at me! I'm Pennie! I'm a popular cheerleader bitch who thinks I can push around other people! Oh, everybody looooves me cause I'm not a soulless husk like that freak sister of mine!"

Pennie watched this go on, biting her lip and glaring at her sister. "I do not think like that! And I especially do not sound like that!" She huffed, throwing her arms to her sides, "Just because I give you a hard time doesn't mean I give everyone a hard time! Do you even realize what I do for you?"

"What you do for me? Besides, uh, make fun with me with all your friends? No, and I'd sure love to hear about what you do for me, because I know you don't do shit for me!" Minnie glared back, "And you do give everyone else a hard time! My boyfriend, my friends-- hell, even your own damn friends and co-workers!" She gestured angrily at Pennie, pointing at her with a gloved hand. "You think you can get away with it since you're 'emotional' and 'honest.' Yeah? Well, the only honest you are is a honest bitch! And you use the 'emotional' to your advantage too!" The girl turned around, heading up the stairs. "You know what? I'm going out! Have fun being alone tonight!"

Pennie didn't have anything else left to say. She could only watch her sister leave, taking in a sharp breath, and sitting herself down onto the couch. That... No, that couldn't be true. No way did anyone else think that badly of her! Her sister was just being over dramatic! Right? ... Yeah, right, she'd say it just so she could believe it about herself. Man, did she really push her this time.

"This is the second time this week. You missed me, huh?"

Ku/Kuraokami/Kuzuryū HowlingCat

Characters: Ku and Simurgh (friend of Ku)

"This is the second time this week. You missed me, huh?"

Ku couldn't help at huff at the teasing tone of his mentor. Even as years past, the female will continue to tease the male over the crush he had of Simurgh. Or would it more so be his other's self previous crush for her other self? He couldn't help but mentally sigh at this. Being a Persona was always such a tricky thing when it comes from separating the persona's personality from the original. After all, most personas were the physical manifestation  of a persona user's personality. Due to that reasoning, it was not surprising for personas to inherit some bits of their other self personality as they were a piece of them. Yet at the same time, personas do have their personality as they were living beings. Living beings bent on being controlled and used by other persona users.

"I am simply here for advice, Si."

"Oh? Of what, little Ku?"

"How does one...romance another?"

Ku wasn't going to lie. He actually felt nervous. He wasn't sure how his old mentor would react to what he said. Was she going to be disappointed in him? Amused? It must be the latter as Si actually gave a chuckle at what he asked, It was ridiculous that he was asking this question but understandable.  He had experiencing the workings of crush but never fully experience the concept of actually acting out on it and pursuing the art of courting. After all, the male was so focused on assisting his other self in dealing with shadows, rather than focus on himself for once. With his other self focus on bettering himself, he thought that this would be best step in embracing his own independence.

"So you have fallen for another? I didn't think your owner's heart would allow you to do so." Si couldn't help but chuckle. "If you don't mind me asking, who is the lucky guy or would it be gal? Perhaps someone nonbinary?"

Ku was not suspecting this question. He should've been prepared to deal with it but he wasn't. He clicked his tongue at this.  He pushed back his embarrassment and took a deep breath. "It is the feathered one. The one that is attached to the glasses wearing boy that is often seen with the other," Ku replied.

"Ah, Lupin! Quite a charming that you chosen!" Si couldn't help but laugh at this. The large canine rose up to her full height and have what was a equivalent of a smile. She brought a paw down to Ku's hand and gave a feral grin. "I didn't think that you of all people would actually give in to his firery flames!"

Something tells Ku that this was going to be a long day, A very very long day.

"I can't sleep."

teddiebearie

Characters: Felicity Monster / Tom Lord / Neil Rose
posting OOC bc they don't have Toyhou.se profile yet!

            “I can’t sleep.”

           As relentless as Tom was, he knew when to stop. He just chose not to, which is what led him to bother the heck out of poor Felicity at six in the morning. His constant whining was met with a few different yet simple versions of “go to sleep” and other odd groaning noises, as Felicity didn’t quite feel like fully waking up to get him to go to sleep.

            After he realized that mentioning that he couldn’t sleep every two seconds wasn’t quite working, he took to poking her. First in her side, then in her nose, then her stomach and, finally, her chest. He had barely poked her once before she shoved him off the bed and turned, pretending to be asleep while muttering something about “paying the darn Thomas back”.

            He felt somewhat proud that he had gotten her at least half awake enough to pay attention to him, but that was quickly overrun by the pain of her push and the force of his body hitting the floor. Who knew such a skinny girl could be so strong?

            Deciding that his meek way of tackling the situation wasn’t quite working, he decided to try a bolder approach at gaining her attention. Sucking in a breath, he started, “I know a song that gets on every––”

            He didn’t get very far before both Neil and Felicity’s pillows hit him, surprisingly hard for such a meek boy and skinny girl.

"Are you just going to sit there or are you going to help me?"

Shigekatsu crownines

Starring Katsukin and Gwynvalis!

~~~~~~
"Are you just going to sit there or are you going to help me?"
The ex-prince glared at the other elf sitting some distance from him, reaching one hand out to try and get the female assist him. She had suggested to him that, for his own safety, he should at least try and learn some basic combat and survival skills for his sake. He had agreed, and things had been going ok... Up until the point where he had accidentally tripped over a tree branch and hurt his ankle.
"Aww, did the little prince get hurt?"
Gwynvalis chuckled at the male from a distance, wondering how such a 'mighty and noble figure' could somehow be so ridiculously clumsy at the same time. He was only supposed to be finding a certain plant she knew was nearby -The fact he injured himself doing that astounded her. Lifting herself up to go and assist the other elf, she hoisted him up and threw his arm around her shoulder to support him. He certainly had much to learn - Perhaps his next lessons would be in spacial awareness, she considered.
"You know Kat, I'm surprised. Out of all the things that would take you out.... You go with a tree," She quipped, helping her friend hobble along back to town. He tried shooting her an intimating glare, but gave up with it and just sighed instead.
"Oh, do be quiet. We all have rough days," Katsukin growled, but hissed when he stepped slightly off on hurt leg. The ranger shot him a look of concern, pausing their walking a moment to allow him to recompose himself. As they resumed walking, the female elf offered one small tidbit of advice to her companion.
"I can't always have your back, Katty. You gotta learn to get back up on your own. Not always gonna be someone to help you out around."
"What am I even looking at?"
Starfall MaplesHaiku
(Characters - Starfall and Nebulosa)
"What am I even looking at?"
Starfall sat at the display in disbelief, watching as Nebulosa blindly flew into the glass barrier surrounding the abstract atrocity. She wondered what the curators of the art museum were thinking when they put it up for display. She was no Leonardo da Vinci, but she clearly knew that this was not worthy of display. The colors did not match together at all - brown muddled on a rainbow of colors... or was it mud? She just knew that a dog had ruined it, the thing was disgusting. Even though it had been cleaned off, there was the faintest scent of a dog all over it, and it looked deteriorated.
"Hey!" someone yelled. Starfall's ears twitched, and she turned around to find the source of the sound. A man towered above the grey-and-white cat, giving her a cold glare. "Who let this cat in here?"
"Uh oh," she muttered. It was true - Starfall and Nebulosa had slipped into the museum, unnoticed. Due to laws where she was at, cats were not allowed to be brought into here without a permit. The attention was turned onto her. Surprisingly, no one had noticed Nebulosa... yet.
People closed in on the duo, hands extended towards them.
"Neb," she muttered to the bat. Upon hearing her name, Nebulosa flew down, and landed on Starfall's head.
"What's going on?" she asked.
Starfall looked around the room. They had to leave now.
"Let's go." Starfall's eyes glowed a lilac color, and the two disappeared, only leaving a trail of lilac sparkles where they once were.
"Where the hell are you?"
