Maybe a little. He drinks it as some shitty stand in for... Well, everything else. Plus, It actually relaxes him and isn't destructive of him. It's inherently hard for him to not be jittery, caffeine doesn't do much to him other than satisfy the craving. Anyhow, he and Lili have some weird sibling dynamic- but not really. Lili worries less about herself and more about others while Martell is the complete opposite, they kind of balance eachother out. Lili likes pushing Martell to go out & do things with her, and Martell likes reminding Lili to take care of herself and unwind. Though she's more abrasive than him and tends to act impulsively on things he wouldn't be inclined to, and vice versa. They're just different breeds of stupid, I have to continue coding their profiles.

So Luke and the other two terrorists were inspired by an incident when my friend and I were in high school, and running around the neighborhood like the teenage idiots we were, wearing all the Halloween costume items from my basement that we could manage: among them, a Christmas reindeer antler headband and a child's toy fireman helmet. A guy yelled out of the window of his pickup truck that terrorists like us are what America stands against... which was an insane thing to yell at teenagers in stupid costumes, but it made me think, what if I played that guy straight and he was right?

When did you begin conceptualizing this character? What was the inspiration around her and who had the fully fledged out story/role first, her brother or her. I love it when characters are connected in some way and I'm trying to do it more as of recently

I don't think I had much inspiration as far as his personality goes. I just like yokai characters that are tricksters. But I also wanted to add characteristics that made him realistic and somewhat different than just "trickster with nothing but evil schemes on his mind"
Yeah his transformation was similar to something like a werewolf. Except his physical body gets a few changes as opposed to completely changing into a demon. I have some other characters that have are affiliated with the full moon. It's just an element I like to use with my characters
His disdain towards serious conversations does kinda make him feel like an outcast or a wimp. Since his friends could be talking about some of their bad times in highschool and he'll want to add in a joke but knows it's inappropriate and when he does make one his friends will look at him like he's weird or insensitive. He doesn't like those looks they give him
Also he keeps a lot of things in which means he'll suppress a lot of trauma or issues he has with others/the state of his life
Was there an inspo for the personality? ++I noticed the mention of full moons— does the possession(?) happen similar to a werewolf transformation? Also…does the dislike for serious conversations ever get in the way of his everyday life?

so initially his og ver was based on monsoon from MGR, this version has a lot of influences all over the place like connie in young sheldon and nacho from bcs,
ive actually thought the species out very well i just haven't really made another design with it besides my persona which is a ragdoll vir, they’re influenced by those silly little ‘neko’ anime characters you’d see a ton back in the earlier 2010s but are a lot less cutesy and more animalistic. so instead of the tail and ears being like a decoration they’re also very feline-like in behavior and as a random example, cat-nip tea is equal to alcohol for them whereas human alcohol can easily be lethal
was nutty influenced by any other existing characters from media you like? if not, what influenced you when you were working on him? have you thought more about his species or does it just exist for the sake of this one character?

HI okay so eden was created completely a week ago, i just had his idea all at once and wrote his page. but as for the other question: i've actually been considering giving him a "true form" but i am not 100% sure on it yet. you are spot on, though - eden is born of and representative of human desire, and so he is a demon in an externally human skin. 'demon' is honestly just an approximation of what he is, being an incarnation of a concept, but it's fairly apt considering he is specifically the incarnation of a sin.
Is the fact that he does not have a demon form a purposeful choice to emphasize that he's flesh and bones just like humans ? I find it very interesting if so, I've never quite seen this take on demons around toyhouse! Also, I see he was uploaded only a week ago but seem so developped, have you had his whole character planned out or did you create his story after his design ? (I usually do that haha!)

Baiwen is inherently selfish, he wouldn't bestow it to others, and as a leader he usually don't go fight himself and have his generals do the dirty work, however he uses it fully to his clan's advantage and never hides how intelligent and crafty he is. He's a very, very proud man after all !(Sometimes he'll send letters to his enemies laying out his own plan or purposefully leak out truthful infos to spies just to prove the point : he'll always win)
I love splatoon sona gahhh, does she have a go to weapon for turf wars? do they have their own story or does it connect to the story in the Splatoon game itself? do they interact with other Splatoon characters, such as like pearl, shiver, etc. or does she have her own little group in the splatoon universe? (i really love her design btw, it's so pretty!)

v i personally did not design her, as I got her from another artist, but I did want to revolve her personality/character based around it, so it seemed fitting. I got character inspiration for the personality and such from different animes mostly, and took the characters I thought were cool or well written, then incorporated some of that into her.
and for the sniped question, yes she will eventually confess to callie, coming up with the idea in my head rn if i wanna do the cheesy trope of having them both plan on confessing around the same time, cause the girls deserve happiness fr. so yes, callie does reciprocate, she's just in the same boat of "i don't know if I should right now, or it could make things awkward"

Frequently, yes. She has a more emo/2000s edgy rawr XD art style for vent pieces. Harsh lines, exaggerated features/expressions, and darker imagery are normally what she depicts.

This is a great question, thank you. He's sometimes simplified and seen as sensitive, anxious, things along those lines when he's really not. He cries often because he tends to shutdown or freak out and just, can't process anything. It just happens, he has no idea that he's mentally ill and has a lot of symptoms in line with manic depression or psychosis, though he takes it at face value and thinks he's just distressed and nothing more. He struggles a lot with empathy or genuine sympathy towards other people, I guess he's naturally fit for his job whether he's dissociating and blocking it out of his mind or not. That's more a result of autism though, he has no clue, I uhhhh really like making my characters similar to myself don't I. The gruesome things he's seen have definitely affected him in some way, but the reality of the victims situations doesn't really faze him. He also can't identify anything he's feeling until,, something happens to set him off, it's mostly his body reacting to a trigger because his brain is just so. Numbed. He kind of wired himself to not give a shit, somehow. I don't know how, I have his issues too I just never explicitly state what's up with him because... He's some middle aged man in the 80's, why should he or anyone else in his time period care?
Ooh I disregarded the first bit of that question, sorry for this fat chunk of text. He kind of just deals with it, he is bothered by how people react to him shutting down but he tolerates it. He has to.
As for the second question,, he'll try whatever else as a stand in, maybe just plain beer (Budweiser. It's really shit and a whole lot of nothing but he's biased). And for the other question- Literally anything. He got sick of those little Milano cookies one day and started dipping anything that was dippable due to his urge.

how does martell navigate being a crybaby (for lack of better words, me too LOL) with his work? being at crime scenes and investigating some pretty fucked up things has numbed him for sure, so i wonder how that numbness affects his ability to form relationships with people. i imagine has to steel himself against other people's trauma in his work, but does he apply any of that mindset to his own life? i guess tl;dr: what makes him cry?

i used to have a dainty with the kind of hair she has now (blonde-->pink w/ brown roots) and when i got out of closed species i wanted a character w/ that same hair, so that was part of her inspiration. aside from that i just kinda Made Her! i love stitches and i didn't have an oc with any so >;) i was like. Girl. i'd recently gotten into skating so i wanted a skater & i hadn't made an oc in a bit so all of that came together to create my critter
as for her abilities, i'd been thinking for awhile about some kind of "inverse" shapeshifting-- someone who can change the forms of others but not themselves. the idea that the soul can be accessed by touch alone rly fascinated me, and at first i had the idea for a character that forcibly took the souls of others to consume with these powers. she was gonna be like a self-proclaimed shepherd of souls, but i figured it'd be more fun to write someone that doesn't know how to use their abilities.
as to her pacifism, she's just generally a non-confrontational person. she doesn't like hurting people, and she can't use her powers in moderation; if she touches someone, there's a 90% chance she'll cellularly annihilate them so if she can help it she tries not to get touchy or fighty

He just has an appreciation for all things aesthetic! The art itself, and the effort in it. The soul you pour into the craft, even if the end result isn't that pleasing to the eyes.
...But, on a personal level, he has a thing for the classical and the artworks of the late 1800s to early 1900s, among others. Impressionism, Art Nouveau. But also Renaissance and Baroque. He tends to lean towards being old-fashioned, in terms of personal taste.
ramyune When you set out to create a character with a perfect appearance, did you have his specific body type/ facial structure/ hairstyle/ etc. in mind? When beauty is in the eye of the beholder, how did you settle on one particular design? If I was making a character like that I'd be panicking because no way I could check off everyone's vision of "perfect" lol.
