There's a thread for asking IC questions to the character above, but I am a sucker for all dem sweet, sweet character development tidbits, so if you're like me and you've ever wondered what inspired someone to make their characters, here is the thread for you.
Post IC (but don't actually write IC) as the character you want the person below you to ask you a question about, or you can let them ask about any of your characters (or a certain group of characters)! Ask any question OOC to the above character's owner, like perhaps what inspired a certain design choice, what gave them the idea for the character in the first place, what aspect of their character they struggled most in writing, or if the character has changed significantly over time. Anything you want, really (it doesn't have to be a character development question: it can be any OOC question about the character, or a group of them). Claim first if you need time to look through their characters or read their profile(s). And after you've been asked a question, edit your post with your answer.

So Luke and the other two terrorists were inspired by an incident when my friend and I were in high school, and running around the neighborhood like the teenage idiots we were, wearing all the Halloween costume items from my basement that we could manage: among them, a Christmas reindeer antler headband and a child's toy fireman helmet. A guy yelled out of the window of his pickup truck that terrorists like us are what America stands against... which was an insane thing to yell at teenagers in stupid costumes, but it made me think, what if I played that guy straight and he was right?

it's dec 8 and i forgot to answer your question i'm so sorry 💔 anyway, bel implies they weren't always conjoined. so if they were ever given the chance to separate each other again, they probably would… then realize how fucky it is to be separated from each other in the literal sense so. Yeah LOL
Would Bel and Evan want to be separate if they had the option?
is salamander both the dragon and the person or are they seperate characters? - The dragon and the human are the same character. He's a shapeshifter with those 2 forms, having been born a human to human parents, but being granted dragon form and shapeshifting by the god of fire, who created the dragons. Salamander wanted to move on from who he was and a good can easily grant him that, and this guy's was not only generous enough to do that, but to allow him access to his old form if he wanted it. Genetically, he's a dragon now, so technically he's a dragon with a human form instead of a human with a dragon form.
Charas with traditional/ cultural are always a treat to see. So, is that his fav attire/ what you like to draw him in? If not, what is (his fav clothing style)?
Another thing is, does he prioritise fashion or function? Comfort or style?

As for the second question, cause she's very strict/ severe during productions lol. So most peeps are scared of her. On the other hand, she brings a lot to the table and is a visionary.

With regards to the eye, I'll just spoiler the answer for... gore? Sensitive content?
The short answer is that she cut out her eye. The injury is self-inflicted. The long answer is that the night sky in her world doesn't work anything like it does in our world. It's an actual physical thing that you can go to and touch (kind of like the Celestial Spheres the ancients believed in) but also it's sentient. During Asteria's years-long pilgrimage, she went up to the night sky, entered it, made a deal, and did a switcheroo with it. She cut out her eye and gave it to the sky, and the sky cuts off a piece of itself and plops it into where Asteria's eye used to be.
As for the cult... Well, aside from her brief stint with the Empress, she's basically dedicated most of her life to the cult. She's the last Star-Seeker, and their cult is basically the last thing that's left of the family's legacy. She has no intention of abandoning it. She'll either restore it to its former glory, or die trying.

If it's alright for you to tell, what exactly are the circumstances of her losing the eye? As in, what did she do to gain that ability?
Alternatively, does she ever have plans of leaving the cult at some point, or does she plan to stay there for the foreseeable future?

v It was really just the product of me considering dream realms, which then just turned into me thinking about the concept of a realm that incorporated everyone's minds into one. It's actually a fairly expansive thing, containing things that represent dreams, nightmares, emotions... you know the whole drill.
Akeirkos quite enjoys his role with it! I'd probably say that the realm is kind of an intentional creation, and he could probably just leave if he wanted to.
Also, I think it was to contrast with Slythos being the 'brutal honesty' type of being. Akeirkos was meant to be more of the 'gentle lie' from the onset. Kind, but the one who will not hesitate to hide something.
What's his favorite/lucky (if he believes in tht) number?
v Every memory is fuzzy (haha like fuzzy octolings splatoon 3) and bright and colorful and not very comprehensible or just distorted voices with the occasional actually understandable thing. They know they used to be able to talk, they know they had a nickname from others like them, and they know their whole life wasn't spent being like this. yaayayay
how much are they cognizant of their life before being sanitized? do they remember at all? what was it like?

pyjamac first of all, i adore his design, your art, and how real and down to earth he feels. second: is he still missing? does anyone from before his disappearance know if he's still around? does he have any intention of going back, even if only temporarily?
Ooh, I like the xharacter's concept itself a lot, the design and the two-in-one has always been a favorite of mine! I see that he has a soft spot for kids; does this stem from memories of his own childhood, or simply moreso a standard that he has as an individual?
V it's a little bit of both!! on a surface level, he has little patience with adults because they're grown and know better - with kids, they're just kids, and he recognizes that children are pretty much always trying their best. in regards to himself, he does see his own younger self in other kids. he often wishes he had been treated with more understanding, compassion, and agency as a child - though moreso as a teen. (his young childhood was alright, but his teen years were rough.) there's sort of a "i'll treat them how i wish i was treated" thing there too. he also just thinks baby things (humanoid, animal, or otherwise) are cute haha

I suppose that would depend on the day, really! Most days I quite like the Pokemon Gym Leader variation of Owen. But I've definitely had some days where I really itch for Goetia Owen or his default / NitW variant :>

first of all, your character is SO COOL!! there's so much information and i had so much fun reading through all of it he's so detailed AAAA. okay okay. so question: how did tallika and hailen meet?
v these are very "astilbe ramble" questions i apologise for the text wall dkmdhfjdj
he got into it when he was 17!! it was when he was having a really tough time. he was fired from his retail job, and his boyfriend had broken up with him. he couldn't contact his parents for support, cause um... he's actually a missing person and had been since he was 15. he ran away from home with the very boyfriend who broke up with him. he was looking for jobs and noticed a listing for a theme park that was hiring extras for a new project they wanted to do, which was to do mini theater plays to entertain the kids! despite having 0 acting experience, he did have singing experience from lessons he had when he was younger, so he applied. and it turns out they were accepting quite a few people so he got something! the project was successful, so they kept at it with bigger productions, and emrys stuck with them during all that! his acting had really improved over the past 2 years, and he gets to go around dressed as captain seagull to interact with some of the theme park guests. it's really sweet <3. he's inspired by seeing all the people happy after his performances!! though also another darker reason. in the biggest argument he had with his ex, some... not good things were said. his ex told him that his whole life was boring, and that he should actually live for once (issue is his ex's way of living was ending up with the entirely wrong crowds). and emrys sorta took that in a twisted way, as he still thinks about the break up now, and thinks like "if my life is so boring, why don't i invent a whole new life?? one that people will think is interesting??" which is why he takes his pirate act off the main stage, off the theme park and into real life. like, imagine he was in a coffee shop talking with one of the lads and they ask him about his life. the guys gonna make up a pirate story instead of an actual life story i am so serious it has gotten that bad. as for the role model thing, not really!! he never really considered acting until the day he discovered the listing when he was 17
