You could ask a relationship question in one of the other Q&A threads, but I thought a thread specifically for relationship questions would be fun, and good for developing character relationships!
In this thread, ask a question to the character a person posted above you in the thread, about a relationship in their life. You'll post IC as a character you would like to be asked about, and edit your post with your character's answer after the person below you asks them a question!
- The relationships in this thread don't have to be romantic! You could ask about a character's relationship with their sibling, their parents, their child, their dog, their rival, their boss, their worshippers-- you get the idea!
- If you want the person below to ask about a particular relationship (or give specific options, like either their brother or their best friend), you can specify at the bottom of your post; otherwise, people will ask you about a relationship that's listed on the character's profile. If you don't specify and no relationships are listed, you'll probably get a vague and potentially unfitting question like what their relationship with their mom is, so I recommend having at least one relationship listed somewhere.
- Questions can be anything: how the characters met, their favorite thing about the other character, silly nicknames, the worst fight they ever had, their favorite memory together, their plans for the future-- anything about a relationship the character has. Try to ask an interesting or thoughtful question!
- That said-- this is NOT intended to be a low-effort thread. You are expected to look at the profiles of each character you are asking about (at least whatever section describes their relationship or history together), and try to think of a relevant question to their relationship. The only exception is if there really is nothing on the characters' pages to base your question on.
- This is not a NSFW thread. Questions and answers can be a little bit racy, but nothing above PG-13. There are other threads for adult questions.
- This is generally an IC thread, but you can answer OOC if you want to or if you need to say something that the character wouldn't.
- Claim first if you need time to read the character's profile. Please ping the person above you so you make sure that they see your response! If you're not sure how to do this, you simply type @THEIRUSERNAME, and they will be notified! This will not work if you edit the ping into your comment later (like if you wanted to claim and then edit your question in); you must put it in when you first submit the comment.
- You are NOT ALLOWED to skip anyone in this thread. If you cannot see the post above you because the poster or you have blocked each other, wait for another person to comment before replying to the thread. Feel free to bump the thread to encourage others to participate!

"So you've got this long hatred for Cedric. I can respect that! What about Inigo, though? How do you feel about him? Little bit of jealousy? Anger? You even know who he is? If you really wanted to make Cedric pay, I'd definitely go for him first. I can give you a few pointers, if you want?" he beamed.
How did your relationship with your father change after you received the serum?
"Oh, I love my siblings! Doll is such a little angel, always ready to help me out. I wonder if she'll be a vet one day? And Beau looks is such a wonderful act; he and his partner are amazing together! I think he's just pretending to he annoyed by him, but he won't admit it."
"I think I get along with them just fine. Doll is so young, she doesn't question why Beau and I are less-than-living. I suppose Beau and I do argue sometimes. I know he remembers what I don't, but he won't tell me! It was my death, but he won't explain anything to me. He's always been one to try sheltering us, but it's more frustrating than anything."
(OOC) You seem to have been very close to your daughter. Would you say that you and Avaritia are quite similar? What kinds of things did you like doing together? Also, how did you meet Cat?
'Anita...' William pauses briefly to think. 'I believe she was one of what people call 'the Gifted'. She was certainly one of the only people I've ever met who could see me. But at the time, I didn't know any special names for them - I just knew that she could see ghosts. As for why she didn't become a ghost after she died... Perhaps it was just because she had been lucky enough to live a long, fulfilling life. She had been married, had children... She had nothing to regret, nothing to worry about leaving behind. I remember when she was just a young girl and was afraid of death, but she eventually grew to accept that she, like most people, had to die. And there was nothing I could do. It's not my decision whether somebody returns as a ghost or not.
'It's funny that you would ask that. From what little I know about them, the Gifted are very rare - so rare that I've only met a handful of them during my centuries of existence, and I can't honestly say that those encounters were good ones. Most people don't realise they are able to see ghosts, so seeing me came as a bit of a shock. Most of them ran away. And the other Gifted I've met haven't exactly been pleasant people - but that's a story for another time.'
"I know Spike is your friend, as well as a ghost. However, you've mention briefly about your other friend Anita. Was she considered one of "The Gifted"? Her death as well, how come she isn't a ghost like you or Spike? Surely you could do something since you valued her as a close friend - most especially how young she is.
Also, do you get along with the other Gifted people?"

There was one or two that I've had to deal with who were types to pester everyone and everything. Luckily, they weren't ready for the throne and will ever be. One of them was the littlest brother to the King from the last generation. Dear... he was such an embarassment."
"That antidote your girlfriend made seems quite handy and convenient. How did you meet her?"

Not really, he's just kind of winging it, and isn't even formally trained. His students love him for being kind of a big brotherly figure, but as far as how he actually teaches, he's not bad, but he's not like the greatest teacher ever or anything.
Does Kenji base his teaching style on any particular teachers he's had before? Do his students think he's a good teacher?

He bristles at the insulting string of comments from a complete stranger, but he can't argue with what's essentially a spoken version of his own anxieties of the past months. There's no way to deny he's anything but a burden to August--to all of these people who look at Innit and expect to see Caileb. They're so kind and they're trying so hard to turn him back into whatever he used to be, and while he resented it at first and couldn't comprehend why they wouldn't just let him serve them, he now wishes he could be that for them. He just has no idea how. He doesn't even know how to embrace being an actual person, and he's remembered absolutely nothing despite their attempts to jog his memory.
He wonders how long they'll keep trying before they give up and abandon him like Alyss did, and that hurts despite the fact he should be used to disappointing people by now.
"You're right." He really is trying, but when has anything but the result ever mattered? What's the point in making excuses? "I am making this very difficult, August and the others would be much better off without me. I don't know why they've put up with me for so long, but I am...grateful."
"As for my Mistress..." For a while his hope that Alyss would return was hinging on his brainwashing being enough of an investment that she wouldn't want to lose him, but after his visit with Tobias, the explanation that he's far from the first Innit she's had has left him more uncertain than ever. He doesn't even know if he wants to go back to her at this point, which is a shock to realize but far from helpful. "She has always been hard to read."
"So...you're not really a fan of Bass, huh? What's up with that? I know jealously is a bit of a factor but what is it about him that really grinds your gears?" Adrian folded his arms. "Is it something that he does that brings that hatred?"
Adrian bit his bottom lip at the question before looking off to the side. "Every since my sister's death, things has been rocky and that's honestly my fault. I never told ma or pa how Valeria died. I mean how can you explain to them that a monster possessed her and you were the one that gave a group of teens the command to attack her with these entities of mythology to force it out of her body," the male gave a bitter laugh at this. "They were probably think I'm crazy or something. It certainly didn't help they sent me to that woman and ruined my ability to trust them because I...just urgh."He paused and took a sharp inhale, realizing his voice was shaking. After a few seconds of silence, he continued.
"I was close to dad. He's the reason why I gained that love for music you know. He taught me about how certain notes went together and guided me to my path of being a music professor. He's a great guy...embarrassing yeah but he's still the best. When my sister's died, it was awkward. For a year, we didn't talk as much as we used to. It was because during that time, I was pushing away my family because I had this fear that I would lose someone else I love. It was really...really bad. Then I moved out when I started to college, which ended with me only visiting during holidays." Adrian scratched his cheek.
"But...I have been talking to him and visiting him a bit more than usual in the last few months. It's mostly because of my siblings though. They haven't been all that happy that I been more of less avoiding our parents you know and they kinda want us to start repairing our relationship so uh..." Adrian pulled up his phone. "We're not so distant anymore. I wouldn't say our relationship is back to what it used to be since I'm still kinda going through my hurdles of guilt, fear and all that junk."
"Hmm....What's your relationship with your father like? It seemed like both of your parent cared about you and wanted to protect you. But do you keep in contact with him or are you guys distant?"
Breathing out a heavy breath, Cheyenne prepares herself to speak. "If you had asked me that a year ago, I would had a completely different answer for you. But, at this point it would have to be my older brother, Jeremey. He's one of the few family members I have left."
She turns her head to the sky to look at the clouds. "My husband is dead and my adopted children murdered. My brother has always been there for me, well after we found each other when I was 14 years old. If I were to loose him, then... Well, I wouldn't have much strength to keep moving. Only enough to ensure his daughter is strong enough to inherit the throne."
One of her fears is losing those she cares about, is there one person or being that she cares about the most and would hate to lose?
Archer smiles, "Yep, Derek is my best friend. We've known each other for about... wow, around twenty years now. We met in kindergarten and were pretty much been inseparable since then, for the most part. So yeah, we're very, very close~"
His smile falters a little. "However there's not much that I really, dislike about him... either that or I can just overlook his faults more easily." He pauses to think for a few moments. "I guess... he does tend to be pretty stubborn; he doesn't like being told what to do nor does he like asking for help." He pauses again, then begins to grin sheepishly, "I'm not sure if this counts, but I... I'm kind of jealous of his fast metabolism too... haha~ Its just, he eats... sooo much and yet, he's still so, so small? Skinny, I guess. He always amazes me whenever we have lunch or go out somewhere to eat, haha."
Your good friend is named Derek? It feels like you guys are fairly close for a long time? Of course, there has to be some point where you guys had some sort of downfall. Was there anything you particularly never liked about your beloved friend? Anything that you disliked?

He glares at the young lady. "My, I just loathe hearing you talk. And this was the first time I met you. But this isn't about you, since you asked so nicely."
He adjusted his tie and collar, leaning back against his throne and pulling himself towards his desk. "Hope is..." He put both elbows on the desk, hands clasped together. Grandfather was having a hard time trying to answer her question.
"We'll start briefly in the beginning: I wasn't necessarily allowed to hate him because of my wife. But I had hated him nonetheless. And she knew about it from the beginning. So, once she took my seat as our new leader, she was constantly putting me with him. As if she was handcuffing me to that man just so we can act like kids once again and get along. It wasn't out of force, of course. I chose to stay by him for her sake.
It's the idea that the longer you've been constantly at someone's side you start to see a good part of their lifestyle and what's truly hiding under that facade. It took us a few years from bashing eachother across the heads to trying to take care of one another. Watching over Hope became a habit until I realize I cared for him beyond the eyes of a..babysitter. He was overcoming every obstacle I've given him and somehow I overlooked his tenacity and selflessness-
...He changed to something better than he was before.
I think that's a better explaination instead of my stupid rambling.
He's also really good in bed. Emery has been telling me that since the very beginning and I've been denying it until now."
