Percy

"I know. But sometimes Grace won't allow it." He forced a smile and shook his head, the sense of finality fleeting his features. "But by Fortune's fangs, sometimes it isn't easy." He chuckled and shook his head, the jumbled mess of a bun that hung from his neck nearly falling loose with the intensity of the gesture. He heaved a sigh and the weight on his features changed a bit. It didn't quite lighten, but it did shift a bit.

"Oh. I don't want to go in. But I have been sent here to enter anyways." He paused, his nearly golden gaze forcefully snapping to meet Glade's pale blue eyes. He seemed to be weighing something... and after a moment of consideration, he finally spoke. "My magic. It has been misbehaving as of late." Perseus took a step forwards, lowering his voice, his brow furrowing just a touch as a sudden solemnity flooded his expression. "Before you ask. No. It's not corruption. I've done enough research to know that it's not." The serious nature of his words continued regardless of his confidence. "I won't be the next monster that needs to be put down. I can promise that." His shoulders relaxed and the ram even managed to crack a smile. "It worries me though. Ah but I feel I should not have dropped that on you out of the blue." His shoulder somehow managed to drop even more. "And yet it is a hefty weight off my chest."
