Digimon Dark Worlds Tri: Screeching darkness

A few days had passed since Doctor X brought Troopmon back to his lab. Ever since Doctor X brought Troopmon back, He had been nothing but cruel to the poor Digimon, torturing and hurting him relentlessly to get information out of him…. But still received nothing in return. Blaine was still strapped to the chair, unable to do anything as he was forced to watch Doctor X torture Troopmon for days.

“I’m not screwing around, Troopmon…” Doctor X hissed, kicking Troopmon to the ground roughly. “Tell me what you know… NOW.”

“I…” Troopmon was shaking, his body covered with bruises and scratches. “I can’t…”

“God… You are completely USELESS!!” Doctor X pulled out his taser and zapped Troopmon, making him go unconscious.

“What the hell is wrong with you?!” Blaine asked, a horrified look on his face.

“SHUT UP!!” Doctor X quickly snapped back at him.

“No! I’ve been watching you torture Troopmon for days, I am NOT gonna shut up about it anymore!” Blaine snapped. Doctor X inhaled angrily out of his nose, taking a few steps closer to Blaine. “Do you wanna get tortured next?” He hissed. Blaine gulped nervously, but still kept a confident, stern expression.

“…You don’t scare me.” Blaine hissed. “You’re just some bully hiding behind all your technology and machinery.”

“…Say that again. I dare you.”

“…Fuck you.” Blaine hissed.

WHAP!! Doctor X suddenly punched Blaine in the face, bruising his nose as it started to bleed. “Shut the fuck up kid, remember who’s domain that you’re in right now…” Doctor X raised his fist, preparing to hit him again…

Ding! But a sudden alert was heard from Doctor X’s computer. Doctor X quickly lowered his fist, running over to his computer as he started typing. “Yes! It’s finally ready…”

“Urgh… What exactly is ready?” Blaine asked.

“…Someone died in the Digital World. Is that correct?” Doctor X asked.

“Yeah, actually…” Blaine remembered the group’s trip to the Digital World all those years ago, when one of the Demondestined had gotten killed by Barbamon. “How do you know about that?”

“I’m able to scan parts of the Digital World, straight from my computer, and one of my programs allows me to sometimes bring certain data to our world…” Doctor X explains. “While I was scanning the Digital World, I detected some data that belonged to a human, that I wanted to bring here first… And it looks like it’s worked! This person’s data is now inside my computer… The person’s name is Elijah, correct?”

“Uh…Yeah, actually…” Blaine responds. “What are you… Gonna do with him?”

“I actually have a method I can use to bring him back to life…” Doctor X says.

“Oh come on, there’s no way that’s possible…” Blaine rolled his eyes. “How the hell are you even gonna do that?”

“If I combine his data with a Digimon’s, it’s possible to actually bring him back to life as a Digimon…” Doctor X says, looking back at Blaine smirking. “Amazing, isn’t it? with my technology, I have the power to reverse death and make humans immortal!!”

“Ugh, I don’t know if I’m a fan of this…” Blaine sighed. “I mean, messing around with Mother Nature like this… Is this really a good idea? What happened to Elijah was screwed up, but humans eventually die for a reason… And besides, this isn’t really making humans immortal, it’s just gonna make us extinct instead…”

“Eh, you’d get used to it eventually.” Doctor X shrugged. “You’ll accept it eventually… After all, this is the future… Anyways, I have the perfect Digimon to combine Elijah’s data with…” Doctor X reached into his pocket, pulling out Taeka’s Digivice. “One of your Digidestined friends dropped her Digivice in the cities. I’ve discovered that it contains the data of Digi-eggs… I can combine that data with Elijah’s data, and bring him back to life!”

“God dammit, Taeka…” Blaine huffed.

“Heh… Now we’re really ready for the future.”

Meanwhile…

A few of the remaining group members were hanging out in the room, pretty freaked out by everything that was happening, as they were sturggling on what to do next. Herissmon was freaking out in the corner, Charlee holding him and comforting him. Liam and Jazmine were sitting alone, exchanging worried looks.

“What the heck are we gonna do? I can’t stand seeing everyone like this…” Jazmine sighs.

“I don’t know… This dark one Digimon or whatever the hell it’s supposed to be is nothing like anything we’ve fought before…” Liam says.

“Maybe we should try looking for Tsukaimon?” Jazamon suggests. “I mean, he knows more about the dark one than any of us do… Maybe he has more information that could help us.”

“That sounds like a good idea… But where would we find him?” Vorvomon asked, Jazmine standing up out of her seat. “I don’t know, but we have to find him. We don’t have much of a choice at this point.” Jazmine says, Liam also getting out of his seat.

“You’re right. Let’s go.”

A day later…

“YES!! IT’S WORKING!!” Doctor X had a huge smirk on his face, cackling loudly. Blaine couldn’t believe his eyes… Inside of a giant tube in the lab, data was slowly forming a Digimon…

…There he was… Elijah. He had now formed into Gargoylemon, one of Taeka’s armor Digivolution that nobody had seen since they were kids.

‘Of course it had to be Gargoylemon…’ Blaine thought to himself, rolling his eyes. Gargoylemon, or… Elijah growled and bared his fangs, whacking the walls of the tube with his arms.

“Hey now Elijah, calm down…” Doctor X says. “I’m sure you must be confused right now, so let me explain everything… I’ve just brought you to life and transformed you into a Digimon… A Digimon known as Gargoylemon.”

“I just… I can’t believe this actually worked…” Blaine mumbled to himself in pure shock.

“Elijah, you can talk to me if you want to…” Doctor X says. “I’m sure you must miss your family, yes? I can lead them to you if you tell me…”

“Elijah, don’t listen to him!” Blaine shouted. “He’s not gonna help you, he just wants to use you for his evil plans!”

Elijah jerked his head up, noticing Blaine. He growled and bared his fangs, roaring as he clawed furiously against the tube walls.

“Oh my… He’s not a fan of you, is he?” Doctor X says.

SMASH!! Elijah tackled the tube walls, completely smashing it apart, landing right in front of Doctor X with a loud thud.

“Whoa! Hey now…” Doctor X quickly pulled out a taser, pointing it up at Elijah. “You don’t wanna get hurt, do you? Step back or else.”

Elijah ignored Doctor X’s warnings, charging forward as he tried to slash at him… But Doctor X quickly leapt out of the way of the attack, zapping him the taser, Elijah quickly getting knocked out. “Hey, I did try to warn you…” Doctor X said.

“Uh… What are you planning to do with him?” Blaine asked. Doctor X grabbed a rope, tying it around Elijah’s neck, turning it into a makeshift leash. “Oh… You’ll see.”

Sometime later…

Doctor X brought Elijah outside to the cities, the two hiding out in an alleyway. Elijah had woken back up, trying to wrestle free from Doctor X’s grasp, but to no avail. 

“Relax already, Elijah…” Doctor X tugged the rope roughly. “I have a mission for you to do, and this’ll go smoothly as long as you obey me… I want you to go out into the cities, and look for the Digidestined, alright? And bring them back to me alive… If you do so, I’ll bring you back to your family… That sound good?”

Elijah looked a bit surprised at the mention of his family, looking at Doctor X curiously.

“You must miss them, yeah? Don’t worry, you’ll see them the second you’re done with your mission…” Doctor X pulled out a knife, cutting the rope off of Elijah. Elijah let out a powerful roar, suddenly leaping into the sky and flying away.

“Good… Listen to your master.”

Meanwhile…

“Ugh, can’t we take a break for a bit?” Jazmine grumbled to Liam, sitting on the ground against a tree as she groaned. “We’ve been searching around all day yesterday and today and have found nothing! No Tsukaimon, no sign of the others…” She sighed.

“Ugh, I’m sorry Jazz…” Liam sighed. “I just wish we could find something…”

“Hey! Guys!” They suddenly heard Taeka calling to them, seeing her and Dracomon run up to them. “Any chance you two have seen my Digivice?” She asked. “I lost it yesterday and I can’t find it anywhere…”

“No, we haven’t. Sorry…” Jazmine shook her head no.

“Dangit! This sucks…” Taeka sighed. “I can’t Digivolve Dracomon without it…”

“Hey! Look up there!” Dracomon pointed to up in the sky, where they could see Elijah flying around. Elijah quickly noticed them, flying down and landing in front of them with a loud thud. Everyone gasped in horror, Elijah growling and baring his fangs as they took a few steps away.

“What the… Gargoylemon?!” Dracomon freaked out.

“I-I don’t understand… How is that possible?!” Taeka panicked.

“Gargoylemon?! What’s up with this Digimon?” Jazmine asked. Elijah suddenly raised a claw, ready to attack…

“NO!! LOOK OUT!!” Vorvomon shouted…

“VORVOMON DIGIVOLVE TO… LAVORVOMON!!”

“JAZAMON DIGIVOLVE TO… JAZARDMON!!”

“MIGHTY FLAME!!” “LASER EYE!!” Both Digimon attacked at the same time, but only did a tiny amount of damage to Elijah…

“Urgh… GARGOYLE FIST!!” Elijah’s hands transformed into hammers, whacking both Digimon and doing a ton of damage damage.

“Urgh… He’s pretty strong.” Jazardmon grumbled. “We’re gonna have to work together to defe- whoa!” Lavorvomon suddenly whacked Jazardmon with his wing, knocking her to the ground.

“Oh come on, not now…” Jazmine sighed with annoyance. “Lavorvomon, please! Don’t attack Jazardmon like that again, ok?”

“MIGHTY FLAME!!” Lavorvomon fired at Elijah relentlessly, spewing flames everywhere that forced the rest of the group to step back a few feet, barely even hitting Elijah.

“Geez, would you calm down Lavorvomon?! You could have killed us!” Taeka snapped. This only gained Elijah’s attention, who glared furiously at Taeka…

“STATUE BOMBER!!” Elijah fired giant statues at Lavorvomon, knocking him back as he reverted back to Vorvomon. Elijah took a few steps closer to Taeka, growling as he bared his fangs. “Whoa! What’s your problem with me, Gargoylemon?!” Taeka’s eyes widened with fear, staring up at Elijah. “Look, it’s not my fault I never learned to control you, ok? Or maybe it is my fault, I don’t know… I was just a kid back then, and you terrified the heck out of me! I don’t know how the heck you escaped from my Digivice, but… Whatever you’re mad at us for, we can just work this out! Just please, don’t kill us…” Taeka stammered nervously, pleading for her life, but Elijah wasn having none of it, raising a clawed arm to attack…”

“LASER EYE!!” But Jazardmon attacked back, knocking Elijah back a bit. “Back it up, Gargoylemon. You’re dealing with me now.” Jazardmon hissed.

“Liam! You think you can Digivolve Jazardmon to the ultimate level again?” Jazmine asked.

“It’s been a while, but yeah. I think so…” Liam took a deep breath, looking down at his Digivice. “Please work…” His Digivice started shining brightly…

“JAZARDMON DIGIVOLVE TO…”

“…JAZARICHMON!!”

“Whoa…” Taeka and Dracomon stared up in awe at Jazarichmon. Jazarichmon was massive, being over five times the size of Elijah, towering over everyone.

“…Let’s take this to the skies.” Jazarichmon hissed, flapping her wings as she suddenly charged into the sky. Elijah flapped his wings, flying after her…

“FREEZING WING!!” Elijah fired sharp icy stones from his wings, Jazarichmon dodging the attack at lighting speed…

“KNIFE SPIRAL!!” Jazarichmon spun her body rapidly, tackling Elijah roughly.

“Whoa… She’s so fast!” Dracomon says.

“Yup. Fighting in the air was always her specialty.” Liam says, smiling as everyone watched Jazarichmon and Elijah attack back and forth, but Jazarichmon was clearly winning, Elijah almost being a bit clumsy fighting midair.

“N.S.B.M!!” Jazarichmon fired a laser from her tail, zapping Elijah powerfully as he was thrown to the ground roughly…

“KNIFE SPIRAL!!” Jazarichmon charged downwards, tackling Elijah roughly, creating a cloud of smoke… And when the smoke cleared, Elijah was poofed to dust.

“Wait! Let me absorb it!” Dracomon ran up to Elijah’s data, jumping up to it…

“AGH!!” But the data shocked him instead, knocking him to the ground. The data then swirled into the air, completely disappearing.

“Dracomon! Are you alright?” Taeka asked, Dracomon standing back up.

“Yeah, I don’t know what happened there…” Dracomon grumbled. “So… Does this mean I can never Digivolve into Gargoylemon again?” He asked.

“…Maybe?” Taeka paused, staring up at the sky. “But honestly… I think I’m fine with that.”

Jazarichmon reverted back to Jazamon, running into Liam’s arms as everyone complimented her.

“Jazamon, that was amazing! You totally kicked Gargoylemon’s butt!” Jazmine cheered.

“Aw, thanks… But I wouldn’t be that strong without Liam.” Jazamon says.

“Come on Jazamon, you don’t need to be humble… You did amazing.” Liam smiled, tightly hugging Jazamon. But while the two were hugging, Jazmine noticed a dark aura below their feet…

“Liam! Look out!!” Jazmine shouted. Before the Liam and Jazamon could react, a shadowy hand burst out and grabbed them… Immediately pulling them under before anyone could move.

“LIAM!! NOO!!” Jazmine screamed, falling to the ground as everyone exchanged horrified glances.

“Oh god, no… Not him…”
