Devin Old Backstory

It was the beginning of his senior year. There were many new people he'd never seen before. These new people included Emmett, a guy who had his own group of boys and seemed to be a party person. He loved to ride motorcycles and wear black leather, and he was never seen without a new girlfriend of some kind. He was the king of the school, but a bad influence to his peers. 

Devin kept to himself. He didn't need any new friends, or need to be in a group of guys to feel accepted. But he did need one thing; a girlfriend. 

A girl named Emily, who was a junior, had a crush on Devin for quite a while, but was too shy to tell him face to face. One day, Devin found a note in his locker that revealed her feelings for him. He reacted indifferently, thinking it was just another prank by some bullies. Until he told Cam and discovered that Emily Blackwell was a real person. 

Devin was a little caught off guard by finding out a real girl actually had a crush on him. It seemed unrealistic and hard for him to believe. Cam let him know it wasn't so otherworldly for a girl to notice him. After all, he had a better physique than most of the male students, even the wrestlers and football players. So Cameron encouraged him to link up with her, so maybe they could start something.

He showed his protective side when in a game of dodgeball. Emily was hit in the neck by a hard ball and fell over onto the floor. This irritated Devin because he felt that everyone should be gentle with girls. Especially a kind one like Emily. And now that his morals were attacked, he went after the boy who threw the ball. Devin retaliated, throwing the ball so hard that he broke the boy's nose, then he fell and dislocated his jaw. 

Emily noticed this and felt flattered but slightly afraid. Later on, they start talking and eventually become boyfriend and girlfriend, gaining the attention of the entire school. After being encouraged by Cam to run for the Spring Formal, Devin and Emily registered and were voted as King and Queen. They were quickly deemed the "cutest couple." Even the bullies were jealous.

They dated for about 3 months and their relationship blossomed. Love was in the air. The two were already at the kissing stage and spent their days hanging out, going out to eat, going to parks, and other days baking and having sleepovers at one another's homes. But unfortunately, their pleasant relationship wouldn't last forever.
