Devin Old Backstory

When Devin was 21, he wanted to do something with his life, so he paid to go to college. But his addiction hadn't ceased, so he brought drugs on campus. While under the influence of these drugs, he was outside at night. It was the summer, and it was a full moon. While standing and smoking a cigarette, he noticed a girl sitting alone studying. He approached and attacked her from behind. The attack lasted only about 30 seconds, then he fled back to his dorm, scared off by her screaming.

The girl had to be hospitalized for her broken arm and bruised body. The police could never determine who the attacker was, but Devin came and revealed himself to the girl. He brought a bouquet of flowers, just to be formal in the slightest for breaking her arm. He came on a solemn and guilty note, hardly making eye contact with the girl through his entire visit. He was like a whimpering dog crawling back to its owner after destroying the furniture. 

To his surprise, the girl was very forgiving and gracious. She told him she was glad he confessed, and that she loved the flowers. She noticed his guilt and wanted to get closer to him. This was a good break for Devin, but he didn't fully trust himself, so he stopped talking to her completely. 

The college covered up the incident as it was a risk for their reputation. Devin went back to getting his education. But alas, cocaine was found in his dorm and he was expelled swiftly. 

After this, he realized that the drugs were ruining his life before his eyes. He went back to the Felids and departed from them. Emmett reassured him that if he left, he'd have to leave the money he gained from robbing stores and banks. Devin was fine with this, and took his guns with him. 

He moved to Vermont, a more forested and relaxed place, and bought a decent-sized home. From then on, he went cold turkey off of drugs, but still needed a cigarette occasionally.

By the time he was 24, he was able to quit smoking entirely.
