Emanuel's Diary

Jolid 45:  

  I've taken some time to process my situation. I am 95 years in the future from my home time. I'm not sure the exact date, but I am sure I will figure that out later. I'm writing for not to keep calm. Always finding peace in jotting down my thoughts.

    Irena met me here. Saved me. Her features hadn't aged a day, but her hair was cyan. She mentioned that I was Arceus Touched, and was probably the reason for my survival. She spoke of collecting the Genesis Relics to return home. There are 4 known to exist. Jeana's, Melody's, and hers. There was another, but she was unsure of who. She left before I was done asking questions. Which is in character. Some of the things she said concerned me. 'She' didn't wait for me; 'He' did. What did she mean by that? I hope her intentions for me to gather the Relics are pure to get me home. I'm obviously going to have to meet up with her again to obtain hers. I want to give Irena the benefit of the doubt. At least for now.

     I spent the rest of the day in my old home. I found a bag with some supplies and a note from Professor Pine. It hadn't struck me that my family and friends were gone. It doesn't feel real. I'm just waiting for someone to pop out and surprise me with some elaborate prank. My money would be on James to concoct something like that. I'm just glad to have Flint, Trix, and Void with me. For now I think I'm going to rest up and start out tomorrow. I have to figure a way down the mountain.

Jolid 46:

     I was able to get myself down the cliff side and into Papya. I found a cloak to conceal my face. Irena mentioned that my reputation may proceed me. Best to cover up till I can figure things out. I decided to go by my middle name, Emmerson, for now. I ended up burning the rope ladder I made to get down. I'm not planning on going back till I get what I need, and I don't need any more Irena's snooping around in my home. The entrance to the library was covered in ice again. No information to gather there.

     The walk down to Papya was a lot more tiring than I remember. It feels like my body is weaker in a way. Hard to explain. Perhaps it has something to do with the Time Rift. After all, Flint de-evolved. Perhaps my own body regressed in some way? I can't see Aura any more either. Very troubling.

     In the village I checked the center. However, without a Dex it was impossible for me to access anything. The tech is a lot different. It's so strange. For me it felt like moments, but 95 years have really passed. I feel lost. 

     I ended up running into Bee! He is alive! He allowed me to stay the night and catch up of some things. He is going to set me up with a ride to Goseb in the morning to talk to the professor. During our talk he told me that Boston has passed. It's silly. Logically, that makes sense, but it hurt all the same. I really have no one here. I'm lucky Bee even recognized me after 95 years. I need to get home. Make things right. 

Jolid 47:

     Waking up and gathering some supplies from Bee, I set out for Goseb on a Corvaknight Taxi. I couldn't help but think of Vlad. It was pretty easy to find the lab. Same place I left it. However, it was locked. While waiting around I met a different Professor. Professor Hubert Pecan. He was accompanied by a younger man. Looked a lot like Boston, but at the time I thought it was just a coincidence. I introduced myself once the Professor of the lab arrived, Professor Locust. I fear I didn't make a good first impression. However, Hubert showed him some letter after I introduced Flint and he became very suspicious of me. I ended up revealing myself to him and he gave me my equipment. As well as an Azost Amulet. A gift from Pine.

     While there I realized that the kid was Boston! I think maybe even mine, but I'm not sure. The Professor also arrived with two others. Eerie and Tony. He requests that we go to Altir Cavern to retrieve fossils. Honestly, a job would help me get my bearings here. Professor Locust told me that Cherimosa was a good bet for help, and there was little he could do for me. Sounds like I need to get stronger again to accomplish that. 

     We shopped before heading out. Hubert was very nice and bought me an incubator. I learned a bit more about Eerie and Tony as well. Eerie is a contest goer, and Tony an ex-gym leader/helper. We headed out soon after. On our travels we got into a scuffle with a couple Pinsir and a Scyther that were attacking an Eevee. I was able to catch the Eevee. Tony got the Scyther and Eerie and Boston got a Pinsir each. 

    During camp watch Eerie confronted me about being 'haunted'. I was shocked. I hadn't expected someone to spot Void so quickly. I explained the situation to her and I think she took it well. She caught an oddly colored Pinco afterwards, so it couldn't have been too traumatic, right? Regardless, she agreed to keep it on the down low and as a sign of trust I told her my name. 

     At some point in the night I got to talk to Boston. He'd changed into his adult form somehow. I'm still not sure if he is my Boston, but our stories seem to add up. He was running experiments that went wrong and ended up here. Maybe our events are linked in some way? Either way, I have to make sure we both get home. If he is my Boston I have to look out for him, but if he's not, then he's someone's and they probably want him back.
