Day 18: Jolid 64, 2195

Waking up Eerie gave us all 7 Balls. I used mine for Void so he’d always be with me. We prepped for the Den and then went in.

Right off the bat we entered the dragon arena. I was able to catch a Tyranrum and a Garchomp! Toni went down, but her Pokemon protected her, thankfully. I knew this place was going to be rough, but I didn’t expect it to come out swinging like that.

We went to some other rooms. Some of the others got nightmare rooms. Poor Toni looked disheveled. I don’t think she had a good time in the Den. We made it to the room where James, Boston, and I found the dead trainer and deranged Glaceon. The Pond Room. Almost immediately a shiny Eevee showed up and everyone scattered after it. Blanche and I went to check out the Alolan Vulpix instead by the water.

While I was studying them there was a howl and something came out of the water. It looked like the sludge monster from Moonlight Forest, but this time it was made out of water. It attacked. Thanks to my items I took no damage, but in doing so it lost interest in me and went across the room towards my friends. I almost didn’t get there in time, thanks to a Shiny Walrein that decided to freeze me. The creature set off a Hyperbeam towards them. Thankfully, everyone protected themselves, except for Toni. She almost didn’t make it. Ronan, her Scizor barely made it to her in time.

That was really scary. I’ve faced down multiple enemies, but they haven’t. Not like this. And we almost lost Toni. She had a good cry on me after everything. After the beast was downed. I felt. Numb. What am I supposed to tell her? It gets better? It just get easier. I think I realized how much these people mean to me. Funny how traumatic events bring people closer. Losing Toni would have been… I can’t even think about it. It just reminds me of when Boston went down. And Zora. I was luck to get them both back now.

We pressed on afterwards. Apparently the Shiny Eevee had been a Shiny Zoroark that set off the alarm. Boston was all fluffed up about it. Eventually we made it to the top where the Primious Stone sat now. I was able to catch a Cetoddle before we were all promptly ejected from the dungeon.

We got back to the Gardevoir statue and both her and the Gallade returned to normal. They desired to have trainers, but always be on the team together. Boston and I were chosen to carry them. I was pretty happy. I always wanted a Gardivore, and a Gallade would be nice for Boston.

To end the day we went back to Wamelo to rest for the night.
