Day 19: Jolid 65, 2195

We set off for the Temple of the Guardians today. The others kept seeing visions of the Tapus and I kept getting messages from Necrozma. He was offering me power.

Once in we solved a puzzle and then entered the whirlpool. There was no water. In fact it was completely different than what I was used to. There were motifs about the Tapus. The whole area was like that. It was like a trial before allowing us into Sumara. It was my understanding that by completing it we’d gain the help of the guardians and access to old Sumara.

We worked through the dungeon with some ease. Of course some hiccups occurred. While there I kept hearing Necrzma’s voice asking for my help. He was weak and needed a crystal removed from him to make our pact complete.

Pact. I had talked to Void a while ago about pacts with legendaries. Thinking that, maybe, with how Voronis was now I needed a different way to get the aid of Legendaries.

Eventually we completed all the tasks to break the crystal. Necrozma met me in one of the rooms. I either became one that served him, or he’d take everything he’d offered for aid thus far. As much as my history hasn't been the best with Necrozma, I needed all the help I could get. Besides, it’s been 100 years. Maybe he’s changed some, or maybe getting to know them is the first step to understanding why they did what they did.

When we finished all the trials, the Tapu’s appeared and made alliances with my friends. Joining their teams. We continued on to Sumara, which was flooded. The throne room was cracked open, allowing for access to swim in. A hologram of Talon appeared to Boston. Apparently, Sumara sunk to the bottom of Stab Lake. Along with the things in Boston’s room. We’d have to get more equipment to get deeper. At least those of us who don’t breathe underwater.

While we were distracted, and looking around, Jeana snuck behind us and took the gems from the throne and made off. Boston gave chase but we lost her. Giritina’s Orb, that Boston has, was drawn to those items. This made Boston really upset. She’d used us to sweep in behind us. Why didn’t she just ask us to help instead of doing that? Always. This always happens.

We gave chase to Sumara. The guards blocked Boston at the gates to the castle. He ended up killing on of the guards… Granted, he was going to die anyway with the information he’d given us, but… It was just hard to see Boston like that again. Jeana wasn’t even there, and instead of pushing our way through countless guards, we retreated. Boston tried to contact her through calling card, but she shut it down. Claiming that he needed to ‘know his place’.

Boston went to Gosseb to cool off. We followed after some chores. He was… I don’t think pissed is the right word. Enraged. Furious. I found him off the beach. He had caught himself in a whirlpool. Not wanting anyone near him. I don’t blame him. Jeana was really close to him. Like his sister.

He use to tell me when we first started adventuring in Voronis how she meant so much to him. His best friend before any of us even got close. It makes me so mad that she did that. I keep telling myself that maybe, just maybe, she’s doing it for a reason she can’t say. But it doesn’t look good. Like I said with Necrozma, 100 years have passed and things have changed. Maybe some better, some worse.

I set up my tent on the beach to keep an eye on Boston in case he wanted to come into shore. I created a pact with Void as well. It feels good to have him be able to watch my back in this way. It feels weird to have these connections. Like… I can feel their power on my back constantly. Watching me. Aiding me.
