Blizzard

A heavy winter storm had swept over the land, the one pleasant snow and winter wonderland became more of a miserable cold land as a mix between the snow and wind itself froze many things over. Everyone craved the warmth, and often wouldn’t stay out long in the frozen wasteland unless they had to. After all some people and dragons were built for this sort of thing, but not everyone.

Cold, freezing cold. That’s all Lief the fluffy bush dragon could really understand though in the moments. That it was very cold outside, and she wasn’t all that fond of it. It hadn't been all that bad before, just a bit chilly, but now it was... cold. A gust of strong wind sent another faceful of freshly laid powdery snow at her, her eyes shutting just in time before it hit her. All she could do was sigh, it was after all just the weather.

She had taken to settling down in the snow, even though it was just as cold as the area above where her face was exposed. It would at least melt from her body heat as she sat on it, and would eventually be warmer. Her feet were tucked safely under herself and into her greenish fluff, part of herself happy they had gone numb and tingly before the blizzard have even swept over the land and overtaken everything that laid in its path.

After a fun if long time of carolling, the lady bat that was originally with them had bid them a goodbye. Her rider was calling her to come home for dinner and she didn’t seem like one to displease anyone she loved. That left just herself and the big black scary one, who with time turned out to be less on the scary side. Inwardly anyways. He was very sweet and caring if you gave him a chance. He still looked very intimidating as ever, but she was learning hsi threatening sounding growlers were just how he talked. He had been trying to sound nicer but she couldn’t fault him for talking in his usual tongue, even if it sounded less than nice. Even now as they froze slowly over, he was trying his hardest to build or find the two of them some sort of shelter to hide in until the storm passed so they didn’t freeze out in the cold.

He wasn’t having any sort of luck, as the duo were far out in an area neither knew well. He tried nevertheless though, earning brownie points for the attempts he was giving all the same. Nash didn’t look as outwardly bothered by the coldness, but still didn't look all that pleased (or maybe that was his resting face he had?). Growling as he thought over the small map in his mind, a large wave of freshly laid snow flew over them to cover them. He dropped to the ground, balling himself up as it hit and completely covered both of the once high spirited dragons. He popped right back out after it settled more, his head coming out first and looked around for his new friend before the rest of his noodly body emerged. He then started to paw at the snow, unburrying Lief as fast as he could and pulled her out so she could rest atop.

Though just as cold, he tried to wrap around her to give her some sort of cover and warmth even if it wasn’t working all that well between both being cold dragon popsicles. He was quite sad, not wanting his new friend to be sad, but there wasn’t much he could do. Laying his head on her, his eyes caught a flame though, warmth! Getting up fast, his cold body didn’t want to move as he did but he made it, tugging on Lief to come along as he made a path through the snow. There was warmth over there! And he wanted it for the two of them.
