Guiding Lights

With it lightly snowing, Lief was more then happy to trudge through this as he made her way home after the adventure she had. She had traversed snowy lands, through the mountains and hills with strangers she met and made friends with, she met other just as friendly dragons who wanted to take care of her, riders who cared for her like she was theirs, nearly froze to death, and of course had cookies and she heated back up. It was more than enough excitement for the small bush dragon who just wanted to get home and lay on the floor, where things weren’t as eventful as that and naps could be have as she recuperated.

The storm had passed, meaning it was just what was left over and the light snowfall she had to brace as she backtracked through the path she took so she could get back to the point A she originally began at. It was so much nicer without the harsh wind on her face, or the snow trying to take her in like she was apart of the whiteness despite her green and brown color. She could see why people enjoyed this now, more so if snacks and warm drinks were also included in this relaxing winter wonderland.

Pausing to look around, she was starting to wonder did she take a wrong turn somewhere, or did one of the mountains look to similar to the ones she passed through so she took the wrong mountain path. Nothing looked familiar aside from all the white, which was a color she knew was involved in her trek there but maybe the storm was just blinding her and now she was in more unexplored territory she didn’t want to explore in the moment.

Sighing, she was turning in circles just debating which way to go when a small orb of light zoomed past her eyesight. Was it... real? Turning towards it she didn’t see the light anymore, head tilting as just from the corner of her eye she saw it again and quickly turned again but was too slow for the zoomy thing. Huffing, she finally saw the beam of light, chasing it down a hill and through some trees as she wanted to catch what was taunting her. As it vanished again, she was about to start doing faster circles in an attempt to find it again when she heard the familiar call of one of the other dragons she also lived with, having spotted her as they were out gathering up some plants to eat up. Excited, Lief thought nothing of the light that had led her home, just happy to be to that familiar place she called home.
