Endings

Outside, the sky was full of darkness and twinkling stars, long ago the sun abandoned the sky so night was set in heavily. That, however, didn’t mean all was quiet and everyone was asleep at this late time. Out in an open field only surrounded with large bushes and some young trees a caravan was lit up and laughter was heard inside. THe set of males were curled up on one end of the couch together, laughing as the furred forest spirit was just so interested in their tv and game system. It took him some time to let the others come in and turn everything on but once it did Mana was just so happy to tap at the buttons while the pair of bonded riders curled up with one another and munched some chips as they watched and sipped their drink of choice.

Off to the side the burnette’s dragons were all laying near his ginger darlings single red dragon, all getting along after the long day of errands and trying to make sure their home was ready to accept guests. Atop that entire pile the set of storm dragons wrapped around each other, following the example the bonded riders were set and seemed happy about it too. The female had her eyes glued to the extra TV that had the giant ball on it, the count down going down slowly but it was only a few minutes more! Soon it was a new year, her first year with her nice and slightly smaller darling who just adored her and was very vocal about this. On the other side, the bigger dark dragon laud her head on her front feet, watching the two screens as she laid next to the much bigger storm hybrid who had all his eyes closed but his shadow was for once calm as it watched the gathering and felt comfort with all the people it knew.

“It’s so cloooooose!” Coraline squeaked, vibrating from excitement as Ansel laughed, so amused she was so excited for the new year when it was just a silly celebration. He was excited too, but he was always excited!

“Y-yeah, It looks like there’s only a minute more.” Star stuttered, wondering what this new years stuff was all about too as usually it was just another day, but this time her rider had been invited over via storm dragon invitation so they could meet properly as the pair of bat looking dragons were getting along so well and Kaz wanted to see who the little lady belonged to.

Which it was of course going well, with snacks consumed up so fast and then dinner was had, and then so many drinks were brought out for everyone to enjoy before the monochrome colored rider had gotten it’s attention taken by the electronic things the boys had. He didn’t even seem to mind the loudest dragon, a dark hybrid with thunder qualities that was blaring music as it ran away from others and tried to get the dark haired rider’s attention.

“Yeah, are you going to have a new years kiss?” Kaz teased a bit, knowing the storm pair would probably have one, as he was about to steal one from Ix if he wanted it or not. The ginger wasn’t all that fond always about public affection but he was pretty sure he’d get forgiven as long as it was just a kiss.

“Yeah yeah yeah!” Coraline answered, wiggling more as Ansel cling to her and waited, always liking those small little bat kisses and fluff from his sweet mate.

“Cute, I guess that’s the perfect ending to the year then?” Grinning, Kaz reached out a hand to stroke the two bats, not realizing time had counted down and the suddenly loud cheer from the tv meant it was new years.

Jumping as Kaz felt Ix move, the ginger seemed to have the same idea as he stole a sweet kiss, leaving Ansel to reaching up for his own small little bat kisses. He had to agree, it was a good ending to the year, to him anyways!
