Good Tidings

Running across the large open field that was only dusted in the snow he had been dealing with for weeks now, he was excited to bring his rider some good news. He even had rehearsed his lines, wanting to make it just perfect like he was told to. But of course everything he did would be perfect, how else could he turn out? He was after all only the best and his rider’s only dragons, so that meant he was plenty for the other and he needed no more dragons to keep him safe and happy. Or that’s how the fire dragon took it, not realizing how much of a handful he was or how much energy it took to take care of his darling husband’s dragons when they were getting huffy by their missing rider. Ix filled the void ,but some dragons were just stubborn and wanted Kaz himself.

Nearly tripping as he was letting his mind wander, he caught himself quickly and focused more on the running as the ground was sinking in places and was just waiting to take his leg fully in if he didn’t pay attention. The curse of when the snow all melted away but it was one that Yao was willing to accept as it also gave him a nice cover over his outer layer. He never remembered that he’d get a bath, and thus be naked, but it was what the in the moment feelings was that mattered to him.

FInally spotting the covered caravan that has the front door flung open and the small hoard either in the doorway or outside, Yao rushed over the ginger who was on the side of the caravan fixing up a wheel and pulling it from the mud. He would have headbutted him with love, but he was taught that that wasn’t how you express love. Or so they told him.

“Ix! I bring good tidings!” He bellowed out, stopping right in front of him and skidded to a stop that shot mud all over the caravan side and Ix. a deep sigh heaved but no words mentioned on that subject for now.

“What is it? What is the good news?” Turning to look towards the area he came from, the dark colored speckle with a glimmering band on his finger waved back. The other rider had returned!

Seeing Kaz, Ix stared for a moment, breaking into a spring to go tackle the other. Hmf! And they said tackling people you loved was bad!
