Criss Seraph's Links
Such a naive and lost lamb, if lambs had murderous tempers. But the company this youngling has offered me makes the emptiness feel a bit less cold within me. I worry about his ambition and his wild fixation with vengeance, but I wish only the best for him.
I've never had someone quite like you who I feel so at ease with and can open up to. You've given me all the support I've yearned for my whole life, and I'm honored to call you my friend. I would do anything for you and take any stand in your name.
I find your interest in me flattering, but I hope you understand that I'm simply not romantic in any sense. Certainly not with younglings. But I appreciate the company you've given me. What I don't appreciate is how you take advantage of Kain's unconditional trust in us. But when does anyone listen to me anymore?
You are quite the perplexing fellow. Even after all these years, I still can't read that poker face of yours. But I guess I don't need to fully understand. As long as we remain at the top, there's little to worry about. And you know the only way to stay here is to keep Kain happy.
I know your kind. Younglings oh so consumed by the atrocities they can commit in this deathless state... I've heard it all before, and as much as you desire it, you could never grasp the pain I have endured.
Mmm, I'm sure in all your years, there's little you haven't seen yet... And by your melancholy charms, there's likely few pains you haven't felt yet... What I wouldn't do to experience the taste of your primordial sorrows...
*sigh* More younglings, more petty nonsense to deal with...
I'm never one to admit it, but this one is way out of my league... Doesn't keep me from thinking about what it would be like though.
So much misfortune for one mortal. Your story is merely the tragic consequence of these foolish younglings, trifling with matters they do not understand.
You know more than you're letting on... both about me and about Abel. I don't know if I want to learn what you mean or not...
Oh dear. Look what Kain's mischief has done... Not only have we gotten more mortals lost in this realm where they do not belong, but it's one of Lord Dalia's bloodline... I don't imagine Our Lady, The Dead will be pleased with this...
I think he's supposed to be a pretty decent guy. I mean, he's on Kain's side, but he didn't really do anything bad to us himself. And he looked out for Volk's cousin. I guess he's alright.
You may never know what I mean, but I am truly sorry for what I've done to you.
He is an Original. The first of the Originals, in fact, and he appears to be aiding Kain for some reason. I am uncertain of his loyalties and motivations thus far.
The Realm of the Dead is no place for mortals, especially one so young and vulnerable. I hope no harm befalls him now that he's safely back home... My heart has already borne more loss than I can take.
He did so much to protect me while we were stuck in that realm beyond the clock tower... I hope he takes better care of himself though... It hurt to see him so sad, but he put everyone else before himself anyway.
I haven't seen Jack since shortly after Vi's death. Those two were so happy together... I bear no ill will toward him, for he will wear those scars for all Eternity as we all must.
We used to see each other pretty regularly, but that all changed when Vi died and Lady Yashana made him go into hiding... I don't know if he's still around, but I hope he knows how sorry I am that I couldn't protect her...
He seems to be playing along with Kain for the time being because of that harpy, yet Kain seems to think he has everything under control. I won't rely on the lycan to remain loyal when his motivation is rather questionable.
There's only one of those kind of Eksel left, and he's here of all places. He's probably not supposed to interfere much, otherwise the problems in Flipside wouldn't have even started.
*sigh* How did this youngling get their hands on one of Lord Dalia's angels? Our Lady, The Dead isn't going to be pleased if she hears about this...
This one seems to be Kain's trump card, but we shouldn't have to worry as long as he stays in the background...
There are rules Our Lady, the Dead sets out for us... and consuming the soul of a child is one that has merciless consequences. No Eksel so arrogant to breach this law could ever be reborn into a happy life.
My devotion to you has not wavered after all this time, even when you have long forgotten me. You sent me away to hide and recover, and when I finally return, I see that the world has moved on without me, and you have no place in your heart for my memory.
