Disclaimer: This is not a list of all open species, just the ones that I found interesting, creative, and/or would actually want to own!

I also have this favorites folder with a few extra open/semi open species! (I use it to store some I either plan on adding or find too niche to put here). If you want to see some visuals of species upfront it’s worth a look, but it is currently unorganized!

None of these are by me, this is just a resource for anyone looking to make some cool species characters for free ^^ 

Celest's Searchable Species Spreadsheet is also an amazing resource for all kinds of species (open, closed, etc) as well :D

I would suggest using ctrl-f and keywords if you want something specific! (Especially: feral, anthro, humanoid, kemonomimi, dragon, draconic)

Adaptors ⭑ - ferals or raptors with eyeless alligator clip-like heads (TH)

Admiraptors - various types of cool raptors (CRD)

Aeliens - alien humanoids with vertical mouths and wide forearms (TH)

Airplane Dragons - dragon x airplane (TH)

Ampwaves- fluffy cyborg canines with emphasis on speakers (TWT)

Anubiums - canine-like anthros with smooth, semi-curvy snouts and floating limbs (TH)

Capsule Kemonos - anthro cat/fox like creatures with water capsule traits to generate electricity (TH)

Charmies - ferals or anthros of any species (real or fictional) with the bottom half being a container for almost anything (TH)

Chibcoms - eyeless anthro/bipedal creatures with a big smile and even bigger claws - have a second, more recent base here (TH)

Cloudkits - draconic and cat-like with 1 forehead horn, clouds, hooves, and many forms (i.e. feral, anthro, and humanoid) (CRD) 💛

Cobradogs - feral cobras x canines; their body structure is draconic (TH) 💛

Demolf - feral or anthro wolf x dragon x demon creatures with lots of leniency; can be anthro or feral (TH)

Detuls - feral bug critters with 4+ legs, bug tails, 2 pinchers, and 2+ horns; Radiaverse (TH)

Dreamonzzz - plush humanoids/kemonomimi with patches and sleeping masks (TH) 💛

Dusklings - humanoids (or other humanoid species) that have a shadow clone, and the two can swap places (TH)

Garden Qilin - small feral snake-like creatures with a hood and hide underground, disguising as plants (TH)

Gelkitts - feral or anthro creatures (any species, real or fictional) with traits of those squishy ball-filled gel packs (TH)

Khemirs ⭑ - semi-aquatic dragons with frilly spines (like mohawks) with chemistry inspirations; first slot free and others unlocked through art/ARPG elements (TH) 💛

Lapexes - jellyfish hat dragons; usually feral? (TH)

Leggynoodles - long, feral, fluffy noodle dragons with bird legs (DA)

Lemurins - lemur humanoids that can have magic (DA) 💛

Lepori - anthro/bipedal rabbit-like creatures with the ability to form telepathic connections with a unique dragon (TH)

Levii - adorable bipedal bird x bug species; Lythbound (TH)

Liquidogs - instead of liquid in dog, it is dog in liquid lol. Any shape/type of liquid; usually anthro! (TH)

Llumis - similar creatures to Meeps but with luminescence; anthro (DA)

Limboys  - mysterious cryptids that can slightly shift their form to lure prey and catch them with their tail mouths. They have bone face-plates with many eyes; Radiaverse; CW FOR LOTS OF EYES IN ONE SPOT AND UNSETTLING APPEARANCE (TH)

Malacors - feral and fluffy bug/draconic creatures (TH)

Manta-Pups - anthro creatures with manta-like hoodies; their arms are in the hoodie/manta wings and they can pull the drawstrings (TH)

Meeps - derpy anthro creatures with black necks (DA)

Meldoms - humanoids with drippy limbs/hands (TH)

Mellowdreams - humanoid/sheep/goat shaped plushes filled with ghosts (TH)

Molu Dragon - anthro/bipedal octopus-traited dragons (TH) 💛

Moofpons - funky guys with shadow true-bodies and wings on their head(?) that put on “shells” that can look like anything: humanoid, creature, feral, etc (TH)

Nagai - draconic ferals with bright insides and a floating “eye” in their mouth (TH) 💛

Natbaktera - long bodied dragons with three eyes that are actually smooth and plain but use glamour (magic) to spice up their appearance; Lythbound (TH) 

Neoteatua ⭑ - aquatic anthro-like species with bony face plates and jelly bodies; and they have a humanoid form! Commons are free (TH) 💛

Nightmare Demons - draconic creatures with 6 limbs, animal skulls for heads, and stingers that induce nightmares (TH)

Nijinus - felines with axolotl traits; the subspecies Dreagonus are open too! Canonically ferals (TH)

Nivinix - draconic, boxy headshape, fluffy, fur hoods and big arms (TH) 💛

Nioms - little “shadow creatures” that stand on two bird legs and have cute fake bodies (TH)

Ocjis - look like barn owls x mammals with a normal and beast form; canonically ferals (TH)

Onibi - dragons (wof fantribe) with tails made of fire and oni teeth (AMN)

Onrariiks - anthro creatures with floating hands, a portal on/around their body, and often multiple eyes (TH)

Orbscuri - small anthro plush-like creatures with masks that have a sealing paper and a tail holding an eye; Portacaeli (TH)

Paintseen - ferals with glass heads that they paint a natural scene in with their tails (TH)

Peakits - anthro or feral cat-like species with a boxy headshape, magic orbs, and often magic items like a controllable cape or scarf. Also have the Mechakits subspecies; Portacaeli (TH) 💛
