About

The world of Impar is most certainly a different world compared to Pokémon World. As it stands, the world of Impar is one that is not only filled with Pokémon and humans. Oh no. Demons, angels and all kinds of oddities exist within this universe. However, to avoid disturbing the order of the world, these beings keep themselves in realms that rest opposite of Impar, only visiting the realm if they wish to explore the unknown. However, one has to wonder how Impar itself was created. We do know Arceus and Mew were involved in the process, but few are aware of what created this world. There are theories, but most are proven wrong. The answer itself is quite simple.

The plates are how the world was created.

These elemental spirits gave the ingredients needed for a world to be born. Their mere presence inspired the world to adapt to what was needed. They gave Pokemon their type and the legends that once held them the powers they would be known for. However, for decades, many regarded these spirits as nothing more than tools for Arceus. They thought that they lacked sentience and the ability to feel human emotions. These mortals were wrong in their assumption. Oh, so wrong.

Here we have Captain Splash. Captain Splash was one of the plates that was considered the troublemaker due to his ability to somehow attract trouble. He is the third plate to be created and regard himself as being one of the top dogs with his Captain title. Splash is the Splash Plate and has the title of the Water Spirit. Captain Splash is one of the few plates to avoid experiencing death. This had lead to the male developing paranoia over the idea that he could be next to death. It's not something you would think he would have given the number of times he risked his life to protect those he loves.

Height
5'4 ft (162.56 cm)
Weight
130 lbs (59 kg)

Appearance

Splash has a slim built with some muscles here and there. With pale skin, the male has a Kraken tattoo located on his back that very few see. He has dark blue eyes with his left one being a tad bit lighter than the right. The male has dark blue hair pinned into a ponytail with the bangs swept to the left side of his face that partially overs his left eye.

Splash's attire consists of a black shirt with a red belt and a brown belt crossing at the very end of it with gray pants tucked into his blue boots. The male is often wearing a blue jacket with white cuffs. Wrapped around his neck is a black scarf with a white strip down the middle with some rips at the end of it. Completing the outfit is a black hat with a white skull on it, white fluff, and gold chains. He also has a black eyepatch over his left eye.

Notes
  • When he's drawing on his Water Empowerment ability, the male gain similar markings to Primal Kyogre.
    • Interesting enough, since he started to use the Water Empowerment power, the α symbol has started to appear in the center of his left eye.
    • This is one of the reasons Splash rarely takes off the eyepatch as he worries that anyone who sees it might find it unusual.
  • On his chest is a tattoo that bears the remembrance to the fern-like markings that would appear on Zap.It rest above the burn scar on his chest.
    • This symbolize his bond with Zap.
  • No matter how hard Splash tries, the male can't grow facial hair for the life of him.
  • The scarf that Splash has is a gift he received from Zap some months before the Rotom Era.
  • Outside of his ponytail, Splash's hair comes a inch or so past his shoulders.
  • Splash is rarely seen without his hat. The only time he would have it off is if he gives it to Zap and his kids.

Personality

Traits

  • Prideful
  • Adventurous
  • Jolly
  • Playful

Likes

  • Sea shanties. The male loves his sea shanties and will often sing a few with Pixel whenever he can.
  • Drinking. The male is always a sucker for drinks every once in a while especially rum.
  • Zap. He loves Zap and is always by the male's side especially during the times the other may feel out of place. He also love their children too~

Dislikes

  • His left eye. He's so annoyed that he can't see out of the damn thing.
  • People dressing up as a pirate. What he doesn't appreciate is anyone dressing up as a pirate for 'fun'. It's an insult of who he is.
  • The Kraken. This beast is one that Splash despises and often complains that people should worry about as it's real! At least that's what he claims.

"Stand aside. Captain Splash has arrived 'n be ready t' rip apart anyone who gets in th' way!"

Splash is a prideful plate that has his strange idea that he’s a pirate. Known for irregularly getting the group in trouble, the male once had a strong hatred for Zap (as a result of the plate causing the death of two plates). However, that would change when Zap confesses his feelings for him. Since then, the male adopted a slightly calm demeanor as a result of spending time with his mate. Slightly being the keyword as nothing is going to stop Splash's pride. Splash is willing to drop his pride in complete humility for the sake of his friends. Splash's loyalty to those precious to him is a strong one, and he is willing to lash out at those who hurt them.

Splash cares deeply for Mea’s safety to the point he’s willing to get hurt to protect the ‘younger’ plate. This causes Splash to be reckless as he often acts before thinking if anything happens to his loved ones. Sometimes, it can come at the cost of his well being. His care for Mea is similar to his care for Zap. Speaking of which, the male still carries that rivalry with Zap. Their rivalry isn't anything serious (it's more playful if anything). Interesting enough, Splash is the one to keep Zap in check.

Flintlock Pistol and Cutlass [Weapon]

With Splash being a mixed attacker, the male has two weapons to correspond with that: his Flintlock Pistol and Cutlass. His Flintlock Pistol is one that aids him heavily in ranged combat. With it, the male is capable of calculating the most precise angle for targeting an opponent and has a level of proficient in the use of this weapon as well as anything similar to it. The bullets shot from this weapon take the form of various attacks that Splash use (such as Gunk Shot and Water Gun). His Cutlass is one that aids him heavily in melee combat. Splash is able to wield a sword with incredible proficiency in speed, power, and skill. His favorite move to use when using the blade is Liquidation.

Water Manipulation

Water Manipulation is a main power Splash use. This powers allows for Splash to create, shape and manipulate water. There are many ways for Splash to use this power. Some ways include the following: Water Walking, Water Attacks, Water Absorption and Aquatic Adaption. The male is able to manipulate large bodies of water, but it drains him when he does so. He may be the water plate, but he has limits. That limit is lowered with the use of one of his next power.

Water Empowerment

Water Empowerment is a power that make it easier for Splash to manipulate large bodies of water. This power makes Splash stronger, faster, and durable when he comes in contact with water. With this, he can unlock and enhance abilities related to the affinity. In a case like this, being around the ocean or anything of a similar size will make Splash stronger, as that is his home domain. However, being around these spots Splash does seem to become a bit more primal.

Deceit of Damnation

The Deceit of Damnation is a interesting thing that Splash learned to summon. The Deceit of Damnation is a boat that can be used as a method of travel in water. This boat can withstand attacks from various water Pokemon that may try to destroy it. However, this boat can be used on land as a method of cover or a weapon. After all, dropping a boat on the enemy is a great way of catching them off guard. Splash is very careful about when he summons this boat as summoning it takes a lot out of him.

Water Moves

Being the water plate, Splash has accessed to water moves. Splash doesn't have access to legendary signature moves and water z-moves. Splash favorite moves are "Snipe Shot" and "Liquidation". He likes both moves as they work well with his weapons. The male has a few non-water moves that work for his gun, but they're not worth noting as it's not to the level of Pixel and any other plates with moves outside of their type. What is worth noting is the fact the male is a mixed attacker with higher health.

Summary

Creation Era

His name was William Jack/Jack William. At least that's what Arceus told him when he opened his eyes. William was born from the world's need for fluid and Adauoa [Water Type Primal]. Being Adauoa's champion, William was the Splash Plate. What was his purpose? He was to create water, as it was the main constituent of Impar's seas and the fluids of most living organisms. William was an adventurous plate. Through those bright eyes of his, he was always trying to find the whatever new thing added to the world with his Setmates (Meadow and Flame) following close behind him to ensure he was safe. After all, William always had a knack in sticking his noses in places that always lead to trouble. It was something he never worried about. After all, he was the descendant of God! What did he have to worry about? When humans were introduced into the world and begin to travel by sea, William became interested in a specific group of them. They wore eyepatches and spoke in a language that interests him. They were the thieves of the sea and were separate from the humans of land. Through watching them, William imitated their nature. He wanted to be as cool as them. Whoever they were appealed to his adventurous attitude and sparked something in him to give him an identity that would make him stand out.

This is where Captain William Jack was born.

When it came to William's relationship with the plates, most regarded the male as being a child. He was quirky and brought a smile to everyone he met faces. To Flame and Meadow, he was the best little brother they wanted. There was never a day where the two weren't together, embarking on some secret mission under Arceus' nose. The three love each other to the point and had an unbreakable bond. However, it was a bond that would be tested for years.

It happened one day when Flame, William, and Meadow spent time watching over the humans of the sea. The human of the seas were individuals who traveled the sea through the use of boats. The three plates always watch them as it was something William enjoyed. As they watched them from a little boat they found, they noticed the humans were attempting to hunt down Kyogre. The smaller legend had been attempting to protect a Pokemon it had befriended and was caught in the fray. It was William's duty to protect Kyogre as he was bound to him. As such, Splash, Meadow, and Flame distracted with the humans of the sea, so Kyogre would be able to flee from the fray. However, there is something learned that William would learn to never forget: When humans feel trapped, they react out of desperation and madness. It was proven to him after he witnessed the humans kill Meadow and Flame. Meadow was impaled in the back by a pirate from behind and had fallen in the sea. Flame had shielded William from the rain of attacks that were sent towards him as he stood stunned. He had effectively thrown away his own life for him.

The pain of feeling the death of his setmates and the anger brought out that primal animal that Arceus had told William to control. An animal that William allow to take over as he wanted nothing more than eliminate these humans. This animal did just that. He drowned them. He stripped away their body fluid. He did everything he can to ensure they wouldn't come back. He did everything to ensure they felt the pain that he felt from losing his setmates. He kept going until the sea around him was painted red with their blood, and nothing remained. Once nothing was left, he got down on his knees and cried as he cradled his Setmates bodies. That's all he can do.

To his relief, Meadow and Flame came back, but it wasn't them. New people took their place and held their titles. It was them, but not them. It was the curse of reincarnation. While a plate couldn't die, they gained new identities. Sometimes, they kept their memories. Sometimes, they don't. It was honestly a coin flip. Splash did try not to let that bothered him, but it was hard. They weren't his Meadow and Flame. They didn't look like him. They didn't sound like him. They weren't there. They changed, and it was all his fault. All of it. Not wanting to associate with the fact he potentially leads to Meadow and Flame's death, he stopped associating under the name 'William' to the following:

Captain Splash, the Bloodied Captain of the Seas.

The deaths of Meadow and Flame brought a level of paranoia that grew as more plates died and came back. Would he be next? How would he die? Who can he trust? What about the others? Are they safe? Are they ok? When Meadow and Iron were killed Zap (and Flame and Meadow reincarnation killed each other), this brought him a level of anxiety over the potential idea that those who consider his family could kill him. This lead to the male developing a strange relationship with his fellow plates. For those who died, he would be protective of them. For those who didn't die, he would express a form of wariness over them. Those who died were a member of his 'crew' while those who didn't would be his potential enemy. This strange dynamic would be shifted when Mr. Spooks is introduced.

Splash wasn't in love with Mr. Spooks. He partially disliked the male due to his inability to die and how flirty he was. However, spending time with the male brought him a form of ease. Perhaps it was because of how jolly he was, and his brain giving him this idea that Mr. Spooks could help him avoid death due to his reaper status. What started as a one-sided lust blossomed into a mutual lust that they satisfied through their one-night stands. Again, there was no love. They were using the other as a form of stress relief. However, it was through his bond with Mr. Spooks, Splash learned to (somewhat) not allowed death to stop him from enjoying the relationships he had with his fellow plates and what life has to offer. It's something that Splash spent the next few decades attempting to do. It's slow progress with his paranoia, but it's something that he doesn't mind.

POA Era-Pre Rotom Era

When the day came for Damian and his group to save Shimera, you best believe that Splash was there for that. Granted, it wasn't like he had a choice since the plates were more or less Damian's weapons. However, Splash had partially returned to his roots as William as he developed a knack to getting himself (and the others) in trouble. This lead to the male developing a reputation of being the troublemaker of the group. To this day, Splash will argue that luck is known to be incredibly shitty. Granted, this could be his paranoia, but given everything, he could be right.

Between Creation Era up to a certain part of the POA Era, the relationship of Zap and Splash has always been a rocky one. For one thing, they were natural enemies of each other. Zap carried a type advantage over Splash and embodied what it meant to be a ninja (the natural enemy of pirates..at least according to Splash). Another thing was Zap was starting to see why Splash was a troublemaker of the group and had a bit of jealousy when it came to the fact the plates still liked him because of that. He wanted the plates to like him similar to that. The last thing was the fact Zap did kill a version of Meadow and Nor (and nearly Mind). Considering how much Splash cares about them (especially Meadow), it makes sense that Splash would have a disdain for the male. Zap wished that wasn't the case. As such, it was no secret that Zap and Splash always had that rivalry for each other. There was never a moment where two weren't trying to one-up the other.

As they continued to work together as teammates, Splash came to view Zap as a brother. He realized how Zap was remorseful for what he did to Meadow, Iron, and Mind and was doing whatever he can to try to move past it. It was similar remorse that Splash feels for (potentially) causing Meadow's and Flame's first death. The rivalry between the two became more friendly, allowing them to converse casually and make jokes about their dynamic. However, this friendship would more than that as the two fell in love with each other. He's not sure how it happened, but he didn't know what to do. What if he didn't return his feelings? What if he wasn't into dudes? What in the world was he going to do? He even asked Mr. Spooks how to deal with this.

"Just tell him."

Splash didn't tell him because this male's confidence was very low. How can someone just say it was beyond him. For weeks, he tried to bury his feelings as a means to try to move on. However, it was impossible. No matter how hard he tried, the male couldn't stop thinking about him. He couldn't stop thinking about his smile, the way he carried himself, and everything that made Zap attractive in Splash's eyes. It made him more desperate to learn how Zap felt about him. If he knew, then he could be free of not knowing where Zap's feelings lay for him.

On the bright side, he didn't wait long.

During the group's adventure in Hoenn, they would eventually battle Kyogre. Much like most battles with the legend, it was not a fun one especially when Kyogre assimilated Splash into him. The assimilation sent Splash into a form of unconsciousness that lead him to relive his past. Amid the chaos, it was Zap that freed him from his mind. Even as the group struggled to remain standing on the ship they found, Zap stood there and yelled at how he was going to free Splash from Kyogre even if it would cost his life. He called out to Splash and pleaded for him to 'wake up' so he can be with him, touch him, and love him. It's corny, but the idea of not knowing where Zap feelings laid him for him was something that haunted Splash. It sent his mind spiraling and added onto his paranoid thoughts. To hear Zap's words and finding out the male love him removed the weight on his chest that been haunting him for weeks. Splash managed to wake up and free himself from Kyogre. Once Kyogre was weakened, Zap didn't even get a chance to even speak to Splash as the water plate had quickly kissed him.

Thankfully, it seemed as if that answered the question on his mind.

Splash became fiercely protective and overly affectionate of Zap. Hell, he even became bashful in his presence. He experienced a special kind of happiness he had never felt before and realized that his being was irreplaceable and essential to him. Of course, he had to battle with himself. After all, Zap was the one who killed one of Meadow's incarnation and Iron's incarnation, so one side of Splash was coming in terms with the fact he fell in love with their killer. However, Zap was patient and allowed Splash to take his time in fully accepting his love. Regardless, the two would continue to date through the years. Something would occur that would bring the two closer.

Damian's fall occurred after the male was hit with Naoto's move and sent flying off a cliff. Falling into a coma, Damian was teleported away from Mi to an unknown location. However, the plates themselves were panicking as the damage done to Damian's body was severe enough that he was lying close to death's door. While he did have the benefit of reincarnation (thanks to his guardian status), the plates didn't know what would happen to them when Damian died. There was also the concern that Yveltal wouldn't be fast enough to save him. For that reasoning, they decided to fuse with Damian. While this did mean Arceus would no longer be able to use them as they were stuck with Damian, they didn't have any other options or the time needed to reflect on them. Giving a silent apology to their Creator for what they were going to do, these elemental spirits fused themselves into Damian, becoming one with the male.

Rotom Era-Our Story Era (Now)

During the months Damian was in a coma, Splash grew closer to Zap and used this opportunity to learn about the male. Through his bonding with Zap, Splash would slowly welcome his old identity as William Jack. The two would have a few bumps in the road with Zap becoming permanently infected with the shadow virus and the two having to adapt to it. After all, Zap being infected resulted in others being slightly wary of the male due to the damages those of the shadow nature can cause. Despite this, Splash stood by Zap's side, refusing to allow him to deter him from loving Zap. Hell, he even went out of his way to convince those others that Zap was one of the good shadows.

When the "War of Providence" ended, Splash and Zap spent time bonding over the years with Splash doing what he can to help his mate get adjusted to being a shadow. Splash's terrible reputation has vanished as the male has grown from that. His fear of dying has somewhat gone away with very few deaths occurring with the plates. However, this isn't to say it's completely gone. He's currently happy where he's at. Now in terms of kids, the two has twins (William and Haru) sometime around during the Our Story Era.

Relationships

Zap

1750389?1539814808

Mate

Splash loves Zap and is willing to do whatever he can to ensure the male is safe and happy. It's strange to think that Splash would fall in love with someone responsible for the death of Mea's incarnation, but here we are. Splash is undeterred by Zap's shadow nature and has accepted it.

Damian Scott

929404?1539144217

Host

How could Splash not like Damian? He went through hell and back with the male! If anything, Splash respects everything the male does! Not only that, but he share the male's love for adventure. It's one of the things he appreciates embarking on often every since the male (and the other plates) merged with Damian.

Firefly

1750371?1552589969

Setmate

Firefly may be a rowdy scout, but that doesn't stop Splash from liking him. Despite Firefly being technically older than him, Splash sees Firefly as a younger brother that he has to keep an eye on. He's isn't too bad. The male enjoys being with him until Firefly starts making fun of his height.

Mea

1750382?1577152344

Setmate

If you hate Mea, then you're just an asshole. At least according to Splash. Splash highly respects Mea to the point that he can be overly protective of the male. While he does treat the elder plate as a younger brother, there are moments where Splash seek advice from the male.

Titan

1750368?1538324706

Fellow Plate

Despite Titan being a fusion of Gaia, Splash has nothing against Titan. He seems to be on friendly terms with the plate in question. Perhaps it's because Titan isn't as nagging as Gaia. Granted, when you have no mouth, how can you nag someone? Splash spends most of his time rambling to Titan.

Gaia

15726227_uTe.png

Fellow Plate/Rival

Gaia and Splash despise each other. It shouldn't be shocking the two often argue with each other when they're together. Splash dislikes Gaia due to how the female tends to badger him about the things he does. In her eyes, she feels the male often do things that potentially lead to others getting hurt.

Stone

15726232_TDb.png

Fellow Plate

Splash doesn't have a personal relationship with Stone. However, he has no problems with the plate in question. This is due to the fact Splash doesn't interact with the plate, so the feelings he has for Stone is neutral. He's not a fan of Gaia siccing Stone on him when she's mad at him. That's a coward move.

Mi

1750383?1548356185

Fellow Plate

Mi is one of the plates that helped Splash become a bit more laidback. It's something that Splash appreciates as it means lowering his chances of causing trouble for others. Splash share a form of sympathy for the female as he feels bad about the situation with Zap even if she said it's fine.

Nor

1750379?1567204150

Fellow Plate

The relationship that Splash has for Nor is similar to the one Splash has for Mi. The male feels bad about the male dying as a result of Zap. While he does understand that it wasn't his fault for this happening, he still feels obligated to apologize. He believes that it will somewhat help Zap's relationship with the male and Mi.

Mr. Spooks

1750364?1577152533

Fellow Plate

Mr. Spooks and Splash are close friends, bonding over their love. That and their love for drinking on occasion. Mr. Spooks and Splash did have a few one-night stands before the two getting with their respective partners. It's something the two would often jokingly mention whenever their partners around.

Dread

15727000_1n7.png

Fellow Plate

Splash doesn't hate Dread. If anything, he's perfectly fine with the male. He's simply not fond of how lazy the plate can be at times. Splash doesn't mind laziness. Hell, he enjoys being lazy every once in a while. However, Dread's laziness comes in the form of the male sleeping in the middle of battle.

Spooky

15727007_bdI.png

Fellow Plate

If you hurt Spooks, Splash will hurt you. Splash is fond of the ghost plate, which isn't shocking when with Spooks being similar to Mea. He's soft, sensitive, and far too gentle. Seeing as he is 'older' than him, he feels obligated to protect him (even if Spooks has to remind him he's fine).

Bruce

1750370?1541700572

Fellow Plate

Splash doesn't hate Bruce. Bruce is a good guy, and Splash enjoys his sparring sessions with him. However, Bruce can be a bit too passionate about things. Splash would love to enjoy his drinks without Bruce nagging him about it being unyouthful. It's something that Splash has to remind Bruce about.

Pixel/Pixie

1750384?1550635022

Fellow Plate

While he's not fond of Pixel's dislike for his mate, he is fond of the younger plate. The male does a good job of keeping the plates together and keeping things in order. It's something that Splash appreciates even if he has that slightly jealous of the male. He personally likes to believe he's better than him.

Hyde

1750391?1548379544

Fellow Plate

Splash has a pretty ok relationship with Hyde. At best, he would probably call the male a friend. It's something that he wouldn't think would happen until he sat down to get to know him during the time Damian was in a coma. When the two are together, they usually talk about their respective lovers.

Izzy

1750376?1517035789

Fellow Plate

Izzy may be a bit strange, but Splash isn't bothered by this. He finds Izzy to be rather cute. Splash himself is one of the few plates that does see the softer, gentler side of Izzy as there are things about her that interest him. It's strange to think that of all the plates, these two consider the other a best friend.

Toxi/Ick

1750388?1540324493

Fellow Plate

Splash is a bit closer to Ick than he is with Toxi. In his defense, he is fond of the obnoxious and disgusting humor of Ick. Perhaps it's mostly due to his nature of a pirate and what not. He has nothing against Toxi. He does find the male to be decent. He just finds him a bit boring at times.

Icy

1750373?1540079935

Fellow Plate

Icy may be a prick, but he's Splash little sailor. The male won't admit it, but Icy is cute. Hell, he's one of his main reasons why he wanted to have kids. He wants to be able to hold them and bring some form of a smile on his face. At one point, Splash considered Icy his son with how he acts.

Lord Samael

1750361?1518926081

Fellow Plate

Samael isn't all that bad in Splash's eyes. He's loud, rude, and a prick, but Splash doesn't mind. When Samael and Splash are together, they are battling ruthlessly in sparring sessions. Splash gets along with Samael as he understands how the male's nature can push others away from him.

Skye

1750386?1541180121

Fellow Plate

Rule number 1: Never piss off Skye. That's one of the main things Splash learned since this incarnation of Skye was made. Splash has nothing against Skye. He likes to believe he's pretty cool with his powers. However, one should never piss the flying plate because the man can be brutal.

Arceus

10618979_4dB.png?1553148264

Creator

Splash looks up to Arceus as his mentor. Whenever he's with the male, he is often formal and always look towards the elder for advice. In his eyes, Arceus is his Captain while he is his Sailor. Through him, he can learn how to grow and become a better man. Arceus is one of the few men that Splash refuses to disrespect.

Haru

2942065?1567541834

Son

Much like Zap and William, Splash loves Haru. He can often be a bit of worrywart of the male due to the male inheriting Zap's shadow nature and how sensitive the male can be. When he's with the child, he will often tell him stories of the adventures he been on. He can be overly protective of the child.

William

2942067?1566709437

Son

Much like Zap and Haru, Splash loves William. It helps that William takes a large portion of his traits. When he's with William, the two would often play fight with each other with William being the hero and Splash being the villain. Splash is not a fan of William's ability to summon Kraken.

Ni

4627826?1564886609

Fellow Plate

Ni being alive will always surprise Splash. He didn't think he would come back since he originally fused with Mi. Regardless, he's happy to see the male and the fact he hasn't changed. It's great to see a old friend and it's somewhat makes Splash feel better about the fact his spouse didn't accidently cause his death.
