About

The world of Impar is most certainly a different world compared to Pokémon World. As it stands, the world of Impar is one that is not only filled with Pokémon and humans. Oh no. Demons, angels and all kinds of oddities exist within this universe. However, to avoid disturbing the order of the world, these beings keep themselves in realms that rest opposite of Impar, only visiting the realm if they wish to explore the unknown. However, one has to wonder how Impar itself was created. We do know Arceus and Mew were involved in the process, but few are aware of what created this world. There are theories, but most are proven wrong. The answer itself is quite simple.

The plates are how the world was created.

These elemental spirits gave the ingredients needed for a world to be born. Their mere presence inspired the world to adapt to what was needed. They gave Pokemon their type and the legends that once held them the powers they would be known for. However, for decades, many regarded these spirits as nothing more than tools for Arceus. They thought that they lacked sentience and the ability to feel human emotions. These mortals were wrong in their assumption. Oh, so wrong.

Here we have Skye. Skye is the Sky Plate and has the title of the Flying Spirit. Throughout the years, the respect that Skye received has been all over the place. Despite being the ninth plate to be created, most would regard the male as the weakest plate due to the number of weaknesses he has and how he doesn't stand out from the Impar Plates. It's a fact that he has progressively started the change since his current rebirth and the 'birth' of his son. With his wind manipulation, he can rival the strength of some of the strongest plates and take the position as one of the few 'sane' plates. I guess you shouldn't underestimate the plate that can destroy your ability to breathe.

Design

Height
5'10 ft (177.8 cm)
Weight
140.8 lbs (64 kg)

Appearance

Skye has an average built with some muscles here and there. With slightly dark skin, the male has a blue arc-like marking under his left eye. His hair is a dark blue with lighten tip with the bangs swept to the left side of his face. The male also possesses blue feathered wings that appear and disappear on command. His eyes are dark green.

Skye’s attire consists of the following: an open, black jacket that shows off his chest and his necklace with a gray star dangling off of it. Underneath it is a pair of black leather pants that cover his matching colored lace boots. Around his neck is a poofy scarf that blends into his jacket. He also has belts layered on his chest and a broken chain on his leg.

Notes
  • If it has heels, you best believe Skye will wear it. The man knows how to work them.
  • The star necklace that Skye has is a gift he received from his first incarnation from Lugia when the female 'grew' up after he raised her.
    • Even after the death of his first incarnation, the memories of raising Lugia is one of the few memories that Skye managed to retained.
  • On Skye's back is a tattoo of biohazard symbol that are occasionally hidden by his wings.
    • The mark is meant to symbolize his connection to Toxi/Ick.
  • Skye is fully capable of draping his wings around himself and occasionally does so whenever they're out.
  • Skye despise shirts and absolutely refuses to wear one unless it's Toxi/Ick.
  • Skye isn't a fan of keeping his hair too long and often has Mea cut it for him if it gets too long.
  • The arc-like marking under Skye's eye only appear when the male is using his Air Current Sense or he's in Lugia's presence.

Personality

Traits

  • Cynical (a bit)
  • Calm
  • Snarky
  • Grumpy

Likes

  • Shiny. Whenever he sees anything shiny, the male gets drawn to it. He can't explain why.
  • Nesting. He loves nesting and honestly being in a nest. It makes him feel comfortable.
  • Sitting on someone's head or shoulders. He doesn't really like walking all too much and prefers to relax on one's shoulder.

Dislikes

  • Being called 'chicken'. Don't call him that. That's just plain rude and offensive.
  • Anyone touching his wings. He really really dislikes anyone touching them. He claims it's because they are sensitive.
  • Anyone calling him useless. It really hurts his feelings when you say that.

"You mind moving out of the way? I would like to look at the clouds without a giant standing in the way."

Having wings has its upsides, but they tend to be annoying in the eyes of some. Skye is an airhead, meaning he frequently space out for extended periods and gets distracted easily. The male also can be forgetful, leading to him needed to be monitored during non-fighting, so he doesn't spontaneously fly away because he saw something shiny. Well, this was all of his personality for one of the incarnation we have of him.

The male is a lot less forgetful than before. The male has a good memory. He’s a lot snarkier than before, often pointing out things to the group while citing issues he noted. He’s not too cynical as he does try not to look to negative too often. He still easily get distracted, but that’s mostly if he sees something shiny. He tends to perch on people’s shoulders like a bird and preen their hair. He can be extremely intimidating if you piss him off. He has no problem tearing apart anyone that hurts his family. He isn't the type to back off when he's dealing with anyone with a type advantage or dangerous enemies.

bow and arrow [weapon]

Skye is proficient with the use of the bow and arrow than what is naturally possible. With it, the male can launch multiple arrows with one shot and occasionally strike his intended target, regardless of the distance. He is also able to reload his weapon rapidly and efficiently. As such, the male's bowmanship is something that few plates are able to rival (with the exception being Nor). In terms of his actual weaponry, Skye's Bow can appear and disappear on command. His arrows are either created by nothing or by shaping the existing matter of an attack.

Wind Manipulation

Wind Manipulation is an ability that was bestowed to Skye due to his wind affinity. With this power, the male can create, shape, and manipulate air. For Skye, the male uses his wind manipulation in various ways. He is able to use them in fly, move at speeds that can rival Zap through the use of jet propulsion and even create hurricanes with them. These are only just a few of the things the male can do, and the fact the male is continually learning to use this power makes the male deadly with it. Of course, this is something that took him time to reach.

Weather Manipulation

Weather Manipulation is a new power that Skye learned recently. It allows him to sense, create, shape, and manipulate the weather as well as control the intensity of the weather. This allows for Skye to gain access to weather-based moves and use them accordingly. Weather manipulation is one that Skye has to be careful with. It is emotion-based, meaning that if Skye gets too upset or angry without keeping a proper check on this power, the weather created will be unstable. Unstable weathers are something to be avoided due to how much damage they can cause.

Air Current Sense

Air Current Sense is a ability that is useful for Skye. This power allows for Skye to be able to sense air currents, thus enabling him to detect changes and disturbances in the air. This helps Skye to sense incoming attacks and respond accordingly. This ability is great due to the nature of Skye. Skye is a great evader as a result of his low defenses. Due to that, the male has to rely on what he can to avoid getting hit as one hit can do quite a bit of damage on him. Of course, this can be tricky with those who have air negation, but finding that individual is quite rare.

Flying Moves

Being the flying plate, Skye has access to flying moves. The male does not have access to legendary signature moves, flying z-moves and Beak Blast. The male favorite move is “Hurricane”. It makes sense for Hurricane to be Skye's favorite move as the move itself can be deadly when it’s raining (due to the damage caused and the accuracy). Speaking of raining, Skye has access to weather-based moves as a result of his weather manipulation. This makes him very useful when it comes to setting up.

Summary

CREATION ERA

Their name was Naseem. At least that's what Arceus told them when they opened their eyes. Naseem was born from Icicle's coldness from Splash's rain and Zonhiym [Flying Type Primal]. Being Zonhiym's champion, Naseem was the Sky Plate. What was their purpose? They would be the one to take what Splash and Icicle had to offer and combined into something useful in the growth of the world: the weather. Naseem was a quirky plate when compared to their setmates (Pixie and Stone). They took each aspect of what it meant to be a bird and turned that up to 200%. They are known to be pretty chatty as they enjoy tweeting a song, talking, or even mimicking sounds they hear often. They would pluck their feathers out and flaps their wings as a way of communicating a problem. They were the very definition of what it meant to be a bird.

When it came to Naseem's relationship with the plates, the plates were genuinely friendly towards them with exception of Draco. They bump heads with Draco often as the two can be of two opposing spectrums. Weirdly, the plates almost considered Naseem the 'pet' of the plates. It was something that Naseem wasn't bothered by since it wasn't like they mistreated him. Naseem is close to their setmates and never has any problems with them. Naseem's favorite pastime is singing with Pixie and sleeping with Stone. Naseem considers their setmates a member of their flock and always willing to listen to them. In their eyes, Pixie and Stone are more experienced when it comes to certain aspects, and they feel they shouldn't honestly question them on it. Then again, they always have a singular goal of surviving. From what they learned, the best way they can survive is if they listen to Arceus and follow what he commands them to do.

One of the things Arceus commanded them to do is raise Lugia. Such a task wouldn't fall on a plate, but this was a time Arceus and Mew were busy with establishing order in the world. The time Arceus and Mew had to raise legends was limited. Naseem wasn't bothered by this. They were thrilled they were able to raise such a beautiful child. Naseem always inspired to have children. They continued the cycle of life and made them smile. For months, Naseem spent their time, teaching Lugia everything he could teach her. Despite how quirky as they were, they were intelligent and knew things that some plates didn't know. Their only issue was that they could be a bit forgetful despite their formidable vocabulary. It was something that Lugia would often joke about when the plate would forget her name. Raising Lugia gave Naseem another purpose in life.

Even as Lugia grew up, she maintained a strong bond with Naseem. It was something akin to a parent-daughter relationship. Naseem was the one that taught her how to soar and control her weather bending abilities. Hell, they taught her what the world has to offer through their daily flights. It was no surprise that Lugia would be the first legend that Naseem would bind themselves to. She was the special chick they were willing to protect at all costs. Her mere presence inspired Naseem to desire to see the cycle of life continue to grow. This is a fact that would be proven true during Lugia's first encounter with humans.

At some point, Lugia encountered a group of humans for the first time in her life. Arceus always told the legends to stay away from them. Humans were jittery creatures that often act before thinking and don't understand the legends are their gods. It was a fact that was proven by them killing one of Meadow's incarnation. However, the female was too curious. She never had a chance to study these strange beings, and she didn't believe they would be stupid to attack her. By the misfortune, the humans did attack her. Even as a legend, Lugia was overwhelmed by this. She was young, and she wasn't sure what the humans were capable of. She tried her best to fight them off but failed. The humans would have honestly killed her if Naseem hasn't arrived to save her.

Naseem had felt Lugia's distress and was quick to fly to the female's aid. Seeing the female hurting, Naseem was quick to fight them off. Despite the rage they felt, Naseem didn't kill them. As much as they wanted to, they didn't want the blood of someone they killed on their wings. They didn't want to be stained with the title of a murderer. Eventually, the battle ended with Naseem winning. It was expected. The humans were going against something much older than them who knew what the hell they were doing. However, just as Naseem went to comfort Lugia and get her away from the area, something happened that they weren't honestly expecting this.

A human managed to impale Naseem.

It wouldn't haven't been so painful if Naseem defenses weren't so low. Even with the pain they felt, Naseem couldn't scream. They tried, but nothing came out. Not that it mattered. Lugia did the screaming for them. She screamed her heart out as Naseem found all of their senses diminishing. Their taste was the first to go followed by their smell. They didn't notice those two go away with how rarely they use them. Their touch was the next to go. When they hit the ground, they didn't feel it. Hell, they couldn't honestly feel anything. What followed next was the hearing. The screams of Lugia progressively vanished despite seeing her mouth moved in a cry of heartache. They didn't even hear the screams of the humans as Lugia tore them apart with her psychic. Finally, their sight was the last thing to go. Darkness slowly consumed their vision as the last thing they could see is the face of Lugia. Her small hands had grabbed them and cradled their form. Despite feeling himself die, the only thing Naseem could think about is the safety of Lugia.

With one last breath, Naseem's essence left them so their replacement could take over.

His name was Salem. At least that's the name Lugia gave him. He could recall that his old self was the one who helped raise Lugia and knew it was his mission to continue that for them. However, other than that, his other memories as Naseem was gone. Well, not every memory of his was gone. He knew who Arceus was. He knew about the legends. He knew his purpose and the plates. It was just those memories of Naseem that didn't involve Lugia that he couldn't recall.

In honesty, it bothered him.

He felt like he was taking someone else's life. Someone that Lugia prefers based on the way she distances himself from him. Whoever that person was someone that could potentially be better than him. This leads to the male being insecure and self-conscious about his ability to do his job. This only got progressively worse as Draco constantly calls the male 'useless' daily. Salem eventually lost faith in himself and believed that he would never achieve anything in life. This would continue over the years until the male lashed out at Draco after dealing with the male's taunts for so long. This lead to the two getting into an argument with Draco citing how he was tired of Salem being so mopey all the time and Salem going on about why he felt the way he did. Eventually, the argument ended with Draco calling the male a "failure of the plate that didn't deserve to exist".

Whether Draco meant that or not didn't matter to Salem. Frustration got the better of the male, and Salem attacked Draco. The battle itself was messy and didn't end in Salem's favor. How so? Draco managed to defeat him with a Judgement. Well, if we're counting killing as defeat. Draco didn't mean it as the male backed off the second he did that. He was shocked, considering Draco wasn't usually the one to regret things. Despite this, Salem wasn't upset. He should be, but the male managed to harm Draco to the point the other plate had to kill him. He was more than useless. He was considered a threat. It was a shame no one saw it, but that didn't bother him. His new self was probably not going to remember this, but that didn't bother him.

With a laugh, the male fell deep into darkness as his new self was reborn from his essence.

His name is Skye. At least that's what Draco called him. Unfortunately for Draco, he still maintains his memories as Salem. However, Skye isn't a bitter man. He should be since he did get murdered by Draco. However, Skye didn't let that bitterness take over him. It was too troublesome to deal with the emotion. As such, he made a deal with Draco that he would never bring up what happen if Draco avoids hurting anyone he cares about. After all, they were the only ones who witness this fight, and Skye was positive Draco did not want Arceus to hear about this. Skye was aware he could have made Draco his little servant, but he didn't care. He was satisfied with the knowledge of knowing that Draco was going to be a bit more nicer to him if he wanted Skye to keep his little secret.

POA ERA-PRE ROTOM ERA

Skye and Draco used Skye old's self encountering a Pokemon and getting killed by them as their little excuse as to how Skye came to be. It was a lie that Skye knew that Arceus and Mew didn't believe, but they never questioned it. They didn't want to cause a stir with everything going on at the time. Regardless, Skye spent his years, focusing on whatever task Arceus gave him while focusing on strengthening his abilities. He did progressively focus his attention on building back his relationship with Lugia. He had realized the female had been distancing himself due to the female blaming herself for causing his first incarnation's death. When the POA ERA came, and Damian started his adventure with a group of misfits to save the world, Skye was able to repair it further after the group defeated the female when she was controlled by the sins. It please Skye the most.

He did develop a bond for Toxic. Both were considered outcasts in the group. For Skye, he wasn't the most used plates. It was not because he's weak. It was because there are plates that are better than him in certain things (a fact that would change during the ROTOM/OUR STORY ERA). For Toxic, due to his habits and stench, using the male was proven to be a hassle to use. They would spend their time going over how they get better and how they can stand out from the plates. Their bond is one that started as a friendship. However, it was clear Toxic develop feelings for the male. It wasn't exactly well hidden either to the point Skye noticed. However, he didn't have feelings for the male. The male wasn't interested in being in a relationship at all. However, he didn't want to hurt the male feelings, so he didn't say if he liked him or not. He just focused on maintaining their friendship. Hell, maybe something would change to make him in fall in love with him.

Ironically something did.

In terms of other things that happened during this POA ERA to the PRE ROTOM ERA, Damian's fall occurred after the male was hit with Naoto's move and sent flying off a cliff. Falling into a coma, Damian was teleported away from Mi to an unknown location. However, the plates themselves were panicking as the damage done to Damian's body was severe enough that he was lying close to death's door. While he did have the benefit of reincarnation (thanks to his guardian status), the plates didn't know what would happen to them when Damian died. There was also the concern that Yveltal wouldn't be fast enough to save him. For that reasoning, they decided to fuse with Damian. While this did mean Arceus would no longer be able to use them as they were stuck with Damian, they didn't have any other options or the time needed to reflect on them. Giving a silent apology to their Creator for what they were going to do, these elemental spirits fused themselves into Damian, becoming one with the male.

ROTOM ERA-OUR STORY ERA (Now)

During the months Damian was in a coma, Skye grew closer to Toxic (or Toxi/Ick at this point) and started to fall in love with the male. He wasn't sure what specifically made him fall for the two. They both had contrasting personalities that could drive someone insane. They liked different things, and you wouldn't think they think they would be Skye's type. Yet, here we are. The plates got closer before the two (three?) just ended up together. There was no dramatic confession that occurred or some heartfelt moment that leads to the two confessing their feelings. It just happened. One day, the two (three?) showed up, holding hands and the plates accepted this was a thing.

When the "War of Providence" ended, Skye and Tox/Ick spent time bonding over the years. They would eventually have a son who Skye cherish very deeply. Since then, Skye has become a well-respected member of the Impar's Plates with the growth of his power and whatnot. Compared to his previous incarnation, he's honestly happy where he's at now. He has a family, he's being viewed as being useful, and his relationship with Lugia is strong.

He honestly got nothing to really complain about.

Relationships

Toxi/Ick

1750388?1540324493

Mate(s)

When it comes to his mates, Skye loves them even if they give him a headache. He sees Toxi as his nasty boy that he enjoys messing with every chance he gets with how cute he can be. With Ick, he enjoys how laidback the venomous male is and bond with him by talking about how troublesome things can be.

Damian Scott

929404?1539144217

Host

As frustrating Damian can be at times, Skye cares about his host. He understands the male tries his best to ensure everyone's happy. It's one of the reasons why the male can be quite the goofball. He wants to bring a smile to people's faces. Skye can be protective of Damian at times when he's depressed.

Pixel/Pixie

1750384?1550635022

Setmate

While most don't see the two interacts, Skye and Pixel have a strong bond. They often bond over singing random tunes whenever they're together. Skye is proud of his setmate for managing to become the leader of the plates. It makes him proud as Pixel is one of the few Plates who can bring the plates together.

Titan

1750368?1538324706

Setmate

Skye enjoys using Titan as a perch, and he's sure the plate doesn't mind. Skye is one of the few plates capable of understanding what Titan is saying without the use of Muramasa. This is due to the male's ability to read their body language. Skye carries a level of respect for Titan and sees them as a younger sibling.

Stone

1750368?1538324706

Setmate

Skye has nothing but respect for Stone. While Stone can be recluse at times, Skye is one of the few that is perfectly fine interacting with. Whenever Stone is out without Gaia, Skye is usually by his older Setmate to ensure the male feels 'calm'. The two often bond through sleeping because sleeping is nice.

Gaia

15726227_uTe.png

Fellow Plate

Skye and Gaia bond over their love for children. When the two are together, they always go on about how cute those tykes can be. Due to their love for children, it's not shocking that the two are close to each other. One should avoid harming a child while the two are nearby. You will be in a world of hurt.

Firefly

1750371?1552589969

Fellow Plate

Sometimes, Skye questions if Firefly is truly one of the first plates to be created. With his attitude, he doesn't act like it. Regardless, Skye doesn't have anything against Firefly. In his eyes, Firefly acts like a teenager, and Skye hopes that Yudo doesn't act like him when he grows up.

Mi

1750383?1548356185

Fellow Plate

Skye is honestly happy that he's not the only sane plate out of the bunch. Dealing with the plates can be a headache at times. While Skye doesn't personally interact with Mi too much, he respects the female quite a bit. With all she went through, he's amazed that she's able to push forward.

Nor

1750379?1567204150

Fellow Plate

Skye hasn't interacted with Nor besides the occasional nagging of the steel plate to upgrade his weapon. Skye has nothing against the male though he worries about his health. With how much of a workaholic Noir can, he's amazed Nor can do what he does without passing out from exhaustion.

Mr. Spooks

1750364?1577152533

Fellow Plate

Mr. Spooks is alright in Skye's opinion. He's a bit too flirty for his liking, but he's willing to deal with it. He also is fond of seeing Ick/Toxi jealous whenever Mr. Spooks flirt with him. He does find the male to be cute and soft whenever Mr. Spooks rambles on about his little ghouls and his sons.

Dread

15727000_1n7.png

Fellow Plate

Skye is not a fan of Dread at all. It's not hatred, but one should avoid putting him in the same room as him. There's a high chance he will get an argument with him. What bothers Skye is that Dread is like Ick but bad. He can't explain how. It's amusing that the male hates him but is fine with Mr. Spooks.

Spooky

15727007_bdI.png

Fellow Plate

Skye finds Spooky to be adorable. I mean, with the way the male blush, get flustered at the smallest things and is nothing more than a gentle giant, can you blame him? Whenever he's with Spooky, he often talks to him about kids, ghosts, and whatnot, as those are the things that Spooky likes enjoy rambling about.

Bruce

1750370?1541700572

Fellow Plate

Bruce is something. Skye doesn't hate Bruce. He just finds the male to be exhausting at times. When Skye is with Bruce, he's often chilling on the male's shoulders during his workouts. Sometimes, he might poke the male about his relationship with Samael to stir some reaction from him.

Zap

1750389?1539814808

Fellow Plate

Skye is not a fan of Zap. Considering the male killed two plates (and nearly killed Mi), it's fair that the male isn't a fan of him. It doesn't help that the male can be dangerous when he's upset. Despite this, he doesn't question Zap's ability to raise kids. He knows the male tries his best to ensure his children are safe and happy.

Hyde

1750391?1548379544

Fellow Plate

Skye doesn't mind. He may be wacky and chaotic, but he's not a bad guy. Considering his setmate is his mate, he has no reason to question if the male is horrible. He's honestly happy that he's with his setmate. Hyde is one of the few things that makes Pixel happy, and his happiness is all Skye cares about.

Izzy

1750376?1517035789

Fellow Plate

Skye would very much appreciate if Izzy wasn't so weird around Toxi/Ick. As much as Skye enjoys seeing how awkward the Toxic Plate can get when Izzy there, there's only so many times he can deal with it. However, other than that, he has nothing against Izzy. Izzy may be weird, but they aren't a bad person.

Mea

1750382?1577152344

Fellow Plate

If you dare hurt Mea, Skye will hurt you. Skye cares about Mea to the point that he has no problem lashing out on those who hurt him. He very much respects the older plate and does feel bad about all the things he went through. When the two are together, Skye often assists the male in making the medicines.

Captain Splash

1750387?1518926135

Fellow Plate

Unlike his partner, Skye has no problem with Splash. He can be much at times, but the male can be laidback at times. It's only because of Splash, Skye is willing to deal with Zap. He understands how much the male cares for him and wishes to respect that. He finds Splash adorable when he's with his kids.

Lord Samael

1750361?1518926081

Fellow Plate

Skye is not a fan of Samael. I suppose when the old version of yourself got murdered by the male, that makes sense. That's one of the reasons why he's being petty by holding that over Samael's head. If Samael goes against his deal, Skye will spill every detail about what happened to everyone to ruin his life.

Icy

1750373?1540079935

Ice Bro

Icy is a brat and not the good one either. Despite the fact the male did efficiently created him, Skye hates how much of a troublemaker he can be. He honestly believes he's the reason why his son acts the way he does (well that and Toxi). Despite Icy's typing, he has no fear of the male.

Arceus

10618979_4dB.png?1553148264

Creator

Skye respects Arceus for his ability to deal with so much hell over the years. He honestly questions how the male can be sane. He is one of the few that Skye will call "Sir" or "Master" as he feels the male deserves such a title. Whenever he's around Arceus, Skye enjoys perching himself on his shoulder.

Yudo the Kid

2942063?1566574912

Son

Skye is overprotective his son to the point that he will hurt anyone that hurts his son. There are no ifs, ands or buts. Yudo is his pride and joy. He'll be damned if allow anyone to get away with hurting his baby. On that same note, he's not a fan of how he inherited a good chunk of his father's (Toxi) personality.

Ni

4627826?1564886609

Fellow Platen

Skye and Ni don't interact with each other. It's not like they have a specific reason why. The two respect each other as they are one of the few sane plates. Skye is a bit surprise to see that Ni is still alive and is happy to know that he's not dead. He's sure his old incarnation would be jealous of that.
