Aether

Fairies are known to naturally be drawn to bright, shiny things, like a moth to a flame. They are playful, mischievous and powerful - harnessing many different kinds of arcane abilities. If you treat them with disrespect and swat them away like gnats, you better have a high tolerance for magic attacks...

Aether, in particular, hates adventurers and everything they stand for - they're so incredibly slow, clumsy, and just can't seem to do anything right! Yet, the urge to guide spelunkers to nearby treasure is irresistible, so they'll put the last fraction of their patience to the test and see if the next guy can make the smallest of jumps. It's just over a bottomless pit, c'mon! Glittering treasure chest's waiting for ya!!

And of course, traveling with a particularly annoying treasure hunter has both its advantages and disadvantages.... Aether really wants to leave and go find a more tolerable sword-wielder to bother, but the immediate access to shining riches, jewels, and gem-studded gold-plated objects is everything a fae could dream of. Plus, Aether and Lance are quite the shiny-snatching team, so whether they want to admit it or not - they've taken quite the liking to Lance!
