- a member of a monster-exterminating group dead set on expelling the force of the 'world-ending beast'. he's studied the legends of this said calamity on the horizon - driven by a monster so powerful that even one sweep of its tail is said to level mountains, surely it'd be a fight of the ages... right?

- strict, derisive and cold, showing little respect or attention for those who he feels no need to speak to. namely, his traveling companions - ones who he expresses disinterest in associating with, but refuses to bring up his exile situation from his previous monster-hunting guild... he doesn't want to admit it, but Maxus's odd recipes have grown on him, even though their flavors are still very unintelligible in origin.

- uses powerful water magic. you'd think fire would be the strongest element of all, but the piercing properties of water pressure are no match - wielding strength more than a greatsword's heavy cleave, you'll be glad to take a mage of this caliber seriously.
